  • Cannot upgrade aperture from 3.0 to 3.1.3

I cannot upgrade aperture from 3.0 to 3.1.3. The 3.0 was initially purchased as a download from the old Apple Store. Now it does not seem to recognise this version when I want to upgrade: "this upgrade requires Aperture 3"... which is ecactly what I have (and purchased!).

    OK, got it solved:
Re: Aperture 3.0.1 upgrade claims I don't have Aperture 3.0 installed

The Aperture file you are upgrading must be in the root Applications folder AND the file must be named (exactly) "Aperture" (no quotes). If you've renamed your Aperture file to "Aperture 3" or something like that, the update will fail. Mark

  • Cannot upgrade aperture 3.1 to the latest 3.2.1

When I try the upgrade it syas I must have 3.0 to upgrade, then closes.
any suggestions to get the upgrade to work??

I read the post you metioned and no I still cannot update my version 3.1 of aperture.  It never comes up in system upater .  I have tried rebuilding desktop, tried upgrading 3.1.1 no help.  I have two peripherals that I disabled no help.
The problem I'm sure is it does not see aperture in the applications folder.  System profiler sees it?
I had this same issue with adobe reader but it clued me with it was looking at the wrong drive, thats why I disabled the backup drives I have.
I have never updated apertur since I bought it.  It's been loaded for over a year?
Any clues or other ways, I would appreciate the assistance.

  • Cannot open aperture v3 after upgrading to  OS 10.6.8.  Bought the upgrade online so cannot reload the software.  Can you help?

Cannot open aperture v3 after upgrading to  OS 10.6.8.  Bought the upgrade online so cannot reload the software.  Can you help?

How did you buy it online? Did you buy a registration number from the Apple Store?
Then you can download the Trial version from this link:
        Aperture 3.1 Trial
and run Software Update immediately after installing.
Go to the Applications folder and delete Aperture.
    Download the Aperture 3.1 Trial.
Open the Aperture Trial disc image.
    Double-click the "Aperture Trial.mpkg" file.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install Aperture.
After the installation completes, choose Software Update from the Apple () menu.
Cannot open aperture v3 after upgrading to  OS 10.6.8.
But what exactly is the error you get, when you try to launch Aperture? Maybe you need to do more than updating.

  • I have recently upgrades to OS X 10.9.3 and cannot access Aperture,  (version 3.2.4).  What do I need to do to access my library!!

I have recently upgrades to OS X 10.9.3 and cannot access Aperture,  (version 3.2.4).  What do I need to do to access my library!!

Update your Aperture version to Aperture 3.5.1.
If you bought Aperture as a boxed version with a license key, run Software update from the Apple-menu.
Aperture may be showing in the "Accept" portion of Purchased tab of the App Store.
If you bought Aperture from the App Store, look at the Updates page of the App Store.
Make sure, that Aperture is installed in the Applications folder and simply called Aperture and not "Aperture 3" or similar.
If you did not buy Aperture from the App Store, then the update to 3.5.1 will change your license to an AppStore license. So be sure to sign into the AppStore with the AppleID that you want to use with Aperture, before you update Aperture.
Aperture will update your Aperture library to a new format. Don't open Aperture on your library, before you have made a backup, just in case.

  • Upgrade Aperture 3.2.4 Library to 3.5.1

    Hi,
I just upgraded from a MBP 1.83 GHz to a new iMac.
I am trying to open or import my MBP Aperture Library (3.2.4) in my iMac Library (3.5.1), but Aperture tells me:
The library could not be imported because it is from an out of date version of Aperture 3. Please upgrade the library to the latest version of Aperture 3 and try again.
When I go to File > Switch to Library > Other / New and select the MBP Library, Aperture tells me:
The selected library is from an older version of Aperture and requires a relaunch to switch.
Choose “Relaunch” to relaunch Aperture with the new library.
But then nothing happens, and Aperture reopens the current library.
Problem is that I cannot upgrade from my MBP as I cannot upgrade to the latest version of macos.
Therefore, I wonder how to proceed.
    Any advice will be welcome!
    Thanks

Hello, I thought I'd chime in on this too, because I have had a lot of trouble getting this to work as well.
I followed lots of post around the internet and found nothing worked.
I did the usual upgrade thing that most people have done, and upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks, only I had this exact problem, and I got stuck in the endless loop too. I tried clearing out the user preferences and restarting the computer, only to have it still not work.
Fortunately for me, when I installed Mavericks, I did it on to a fresh SSD drive, and left my Snow Leopard "Macintosh HD" still bootable.
I booted in to SL, and I then ran Apeture, 3.2.4. I did a repair of the DB. (hold down OPTION and COMMAND when starting to get the repair message) at the start.
When it was complete, I restarted the computer back in to Mavericks and then tried loading the Library the same way as before. Eg. File, Switch to Library, Import/Open etc. Still nothing.
I then just did as the above posts suggested. I found the library, and double clicked it, and it said, Do you wish to upgrade to 3.5.1. YES. It seems to be working so far.
Thanks. Just thought I'd share, in case any more information for others was key as well.

  • I cannot upgrade from iOS 5.-01 to 5.1 on original iPad

My wife and I both have iPads running 5.0.1. Mine is v2 and hers is v1. We both have Macs with 10.7.3 and iTunes 10.6.
When I tried upgraded to 5.1 throguh iTunes I got messages saying I could not connect to the server. A friend suggested I reboot the iPad and my Mac. I did and the upgrade went fine.
I cannot upgrade my wife's iPad, however. Even after rebooting I get an error saying iTunes cannot download the upgrade because her computer is not hooked up to the internet. It is, however. I can access the iTunes store, use Safari, and get e-mail. I then tried to download the upgrade directly through the iPad but after a few minutes I get a message saying the updte failed.
    Any suggestions?

Problem solved. I upgraded after switching a cable. Not sure why that mattered but all is fine now.

I just tried the link and it is just fine. If the GateKeeper pops up then open Security & Privacy preferences, click on the General tab, set the last radio button to Anywhere.

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space

           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;

I'm using a 15" Macbook Pro running OSX6.8 and cannot upgrade. I have a subscription to Adobe CC but none of these work on this so I was on with Adobe for 5 hours trying to install and launch Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Muse, and Acrobat Pro from CS6. Well, InDesign is the only one that works and I have a ton of work due! I don't have a serial number for Photoshop or Illustrator except for CS3, and they don't work. InDesign gave me no problems. Illustrator says it can't work on this machine. Photoshop needs a serial number. I'm stumped and getting anxious and freaked out. Can anyone help? Adobe Chat is down right now.

if you have a cc subscription, close ps > sign out and then back in to your cc desktop > open ps.
    ai cs6 requires:
Multicore Intel processor with 64-bit support
Mac OS X v10.6.8 or v10.7. Adobe Creative Suite 5, CS5.5, and CS6 applications support Mac OS X v10.8 and v10.9 when installed on Intel-based systems.*
2 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended)
2 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)
    1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended) with 16-bit video card

  • SCCM 2012 R2 SQL Database Upgrade Fails : Setup cannot upgrade the ConfigMgr database. Contact your SQL administrator.

    Hi Friends,
We have planned to upgrade our SCCM 2012 SP1 infrastructure to SCCM 2012 R2 so we have setup test environment to test SQL database upgrade before doing same in production.
But while testing SQL database upgrade on test machine, it is getting failed with below error.
    ConfigMgrSetupWizard.log
ConfigMgrSetupWizard Verbose: 1 : Scripted setup failure handling callback called. Failure: 29.
ConfigMgrSetupWizard Verbose: 1 : Received error [Setup cannot upgrade the ConfigMgr database. Contact your SQL administrator.] from native code.

Can anyone please help to get this resolved.
    Thanks.

We found out that there were duplicate entries in the PkgStatus_G and the PkgServers_G tables in the SCCM DB.  We identified them, deleted them , and then we were able to run the /TESTDBUPGRADE command and it went through fine.  We performed
all of this on a COPY of the PROD DB and then moved the changes in PROD.  Hope this helps someone.

  • I have a Mac OSX Version 10.4 and iphoto 6. I cannot upgrade to a later version of iphoto 6 because it requires a 10.5.6 or later. What can I do?

I have a Mac OSX version 10.4.11 and iphoto 6. I can no longer order cards, prints etc. and cannot upgrade to a newer version of iphoto because I don't meet the system requirements of 10.5.6 or later. What can I do?

Unless you upgrade the OS and then iPhoto, not a lot, I'm afraid.
