Cannot upload from clipboard with Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 in SAPgui 710r1

Dear Rolf-Martin,
I cannot upload from clipboard when I want to upload a list of material number in Multiple Selection Window. I can only use import from text file and than klik transfer.
My OS is Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 and my SAP Gui is 710r1 java SAPGui.

ABAP Dump while using "Upload from clipboard"

Hi,
We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.
"Upload data" is working fine if some data exists on the clipboard. If in case of no data on the clipboard, it is leading to an ABAP dump.
Appreciate if anyone could point some OSS note or any solution if you've already faced this issue.
This is happening in our BW system with SAP_BASIS "SAPKB62018" and SAP_ABA "SAPKA62018".
Same thing happens in our BW test systems which are upgraded to the latest support pack.
Following is the error analysis
Error analysis
A RAISE statement in the program "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CP " raised the
exception
condition "CNTL_ERROR".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program
in the hierarchy, processing was terminated.
Short description of exception condition:
For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
function module from the display of active calls.
How to correct the error
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:

"CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CP " or "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CM00T "
"CLIPBOARD_IMPORT"

When you say 'We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.', are you using this in a custom program and are you running your custom program in the background?
From the error you mentioned, to me it looks like you had a control error and controls are for foreground, online process and not suitable for background processing. Same argument holds good for most of the enjoy SAP transactions when you try to do BDC, they will give you a similar error if you hit the piece of code where controls are used.
Controls are created on the desktop of the user and in background this is not possible.
Please let me know if this is the reason.

I hope that SAP is looking into implementing the import from the clipboard for select-options. I understand that there are security concerns for giving the browser access to the clipboard, but that's what we have security policies for...
E.g. it is clearly possible to access the clipboard from the browser; not sure if that applies for all possible browsers, but it should be possible to check it for the ones that SAP supports (e.g. here's an article for [Mozilla|http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard] and here for [Internet Explorer|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250473%28VS.85%29.aspx]).
Also, I suspect the web experts may have better comments on this topic, but what about the example Google Docs? There I can clearly copy/paste from/to the clipboard (without changing any security settings).
I suspect that many users will list the feature to fill select-options from the clipboard as a very important feature. So if it's really not possible to make it work for all users (security concerns), why not have instructions on how to enable it (might have to be platform/application specific). Probably not a good example, but even SAPgui allows me to store passwords (obviously a very big security risk) on my computer with the right registry hack...

Cannot paste from clipboard. Cannot read the available clipboard formats.

I cannot open a new or old pagemaker 6.5 document. The message comes up 'cannot paste from clipboard. Cannot read the available clipboard formats.
It will not let you do anything and I have to close by Alt. Ctrl. Delete.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Let me confirm what you're saying.
PM (windows?) loads up OK, but when you try to open an existing or create new publication, you get the error "'cannot paste from clipboard. Cannot read the available clipboard formats"?
!. PM6.5 can only be operated on a contemporary OS, like Win98SE or Win2K. Generally speaking, with later versions on Windows, it's a non-starter. If this is the case, and it's essential you open your PM files, download and install the trial version of PM7.
2. You probably have some corruption somewhere. You can try trashing all the configuration files (search using the string PM65*.cnf ) and re-loading PM65
3. If suggestion 2 fails, you need to remove and re-install PM65, but even this may not work. See 7.6 - Re-installing PageMaker of this linked PDF which was taken from the old AdobeForums FAQs. (Note the date of this FAQs and begin to realise how ancient PM65 is.)
4. Forget all the above, and move to InDesign.

"Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon not appearng in F110

Hi Experts,
While making the payment to the vendors through TN F110, in "PARAMETER" screen just next to 'STATUS' screen, there is a vendor field for selection in range and just ahead of this there is an icon for multiple vendor selection ( Bold arrow mark ). If I click on that multiple vender selection icon ( on bold arrow mark ), an another screen opens for multiple selection for vendors. In this screen 'Enter, Copy, Delete etc' icons are appearing at the bottom of the screen but "Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon are not appearing there.
Can you please let me know how to bring that icons there?

I have not yet created anything and have just entered the parameter. In the multiple screen for vendors there are 5 fields for individual and 5 for range selection. Even you can put more than five range selections or individual selections by clicking on the page button but there I am not finding these two icons.
Can you please check at your end and let me know if you are getting or what to do to bring those two icons in F110.

We have a requirement in select-options in webdynpro.i have implimented select-options successfully using
WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS used component.now i need to impliment 'upload from clipboard' option when ever i click on advance options arrow mark. this option we can get in normal abp from selection screen.in selection screen against select-option field we have multiple options arrow mark.when ever we click this arrow mark we can able to see the upload from clipboard button at lowe level.exact same option how can we impliment in webdynpro abap selection screen.
Could anyone please suggest solutions?
if possible could you send me the sample code or relevent links for the same.

Which server version are you working on...Is it ECC6 or nwetweaver 7..
I guess that option is avaialbel in Netweaver 7.0..Need to check there is an option for Clipboard in select-options..

Erro in SE16 upload from clipboard

In SE16-Table Name (eg MARC)-Table contents MATNR multiple-field selection. I make copies of records (2000) from an Excel spreadsheet and click the button "upload from clipboard". then copy and click the button number of entries, then appears dump :
DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
Except.                CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
The current ABAP program "/1BCDWB/DBMARC" had to be terminated because one of
     the statements could not be executed. This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Nota: applied the note 1175705 and did not work. The dump occurs above the 2000 records, selecting any table. Any ideas?

Multiple Selection Upload from Clipboard

hi experts
I am looking to see if anyone has any information on how to get the Multiple Selection Upload from Clipboard functionality into the webUI as we had in the SAPGUI.
An example of how this is used is by going in the SAPGUI to /BEA/CRMB01 - Maintain Billing Due List and under billing document, clicking the arrow on the right which enables multiple selection and upload via clipboard.

ITunes Store cannot open, cannot upload from CDs, please help

I have no problems in downloading iTunes from this website and then installing it. However, when I open it and insert a CD to upload music, a message comes up that says it cannot connect. After that nothing happens at all. This is extremely frustrating. Someone please help.

I had the same issue and resolved it like this:
1. Downloaded the latest version of ITunes to a temp folder.
2. Disconnected my cable modem from the Internet (for security sake).
3. Uninstalled ITunes, Quick Time and my Norton anti-virus software.
4. Restarted my computer.
5. Reinstalled ITunes and Quick Time (which of course is actually bundled with ITunes).
6. Reinstalled my Norton software.
7. Restarted the computer.
8. Reconnected my cable modem.
Once I did all this, everything worked again. What a pain in the a** this all was. Bottom line, it looks like the 7.6 "upgrade" does not take if you have certain security software installed. It would really be nice of Apple to at least generate an error message to that effect.

Cannot print from IE11 with adobe reader 9.4.2

When we open pdf files within IE11 and try and print, the printer properties box becomes unresponsive.
we need to crash IE to resolve it, but are unable to print.
we cannot upgrade Adobe Reader as we have another application which doesn't work with anything higher.
I saw there was a workaround for adobe acrobat, but we need a fix for reader if possible
changing the setting in adobe to open the pdf in it's own window is not a solution for us either

No difference in output using the latest version.
We are printing to Xerox WorkCentre 7425/7435 printers. When printing from a full version of Adobe Acrobat the advanced button of the Print Driver popup has check options for Marks under Marks and Bleeds while printing from Adobe Reader does not.

Resuming from suspend with Ubuntu 11.04 fails on Thinkpad 121e when using OCZ Agility 3 SSD

On my Thinkpad 121e (model 30515RG), Ubuntu 11.04 worked flawlessly with the stock hdd. Suspend and resume were fine. After I replaced the hdd with an Agility 3 120 GB drive, the system will suspend fine (pulsating leds, etc) After I attempt to resume, I get the thinkpad beep, the resume starts and than fails. The filesystem used in both cases is ext4.
If I suspend before I log in, while only gdm is running, the system will come up, but will not function as it can not read any file from the disk, reporting missing inodes, etc.
If I suspend after being logged in, I might get a visible cursor, but nothing more.
The drive has the latest version of firmware installed. Any suggestions ?

Cannot synk from itunes with new hp pc frustrated!

I have an i pod Touch which i really like as does my wife. Problem purchased new HP desktop transferred from old to new problem i tunes does not identify with my new PC. Not to computer savy but a pretty good listener. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
