This is a tough one. We have had one other report (
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=76&catid=712&threadid =1378967)
of a problem with Firefox 3.0.1, but all of our internal testing
has uncovered no problems like the one you are encountering. Our
logs indicate that many Buzzword users are coming to the site with
Firefox 3.0.1 every day, but why two of you are seeing a problem
remains a mystery.
Do you have access to another machine on which you can
install FF 3.0.1? I'm not suggesting this as a solution, but merely
to provide us with another datapoint as we try to unravel this
mystery.
Also, are you able to sign in and use any of the other
acrobat.com services like ConnectNow and Share?

I cannot use evernote on FireFox 4 due to when I try to save a page the Evernote login tab shows asking for my name and password. Unfortunately it will not take higher case letters which then will not let me log in using firefox. I can use Evernote on its own using my mac application.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 which works on OS X 10.4 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

  • Cannot use .xps on Firefox. It works in Windows Explorer.

It seems I am unable to use .XPS on Firefoxs (Ver. 26). Firefox does not open the dialogue box that enables me to save the object. Instead I get the message that the 'Printer is not responding'!
When using Windows Explorer the process runs smoothly. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall FF. No change.

You can only use IE to display XPS files directly.
Firefox doesn't know about this file.

It doesn't matter what proxy I use and where, Firefox won't allow me to use a proxy!!! I have tried hundreds of proxies, none of them will work in Firefox... I get the same error every time!!! the error reads
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections
no matter which one I use!!!!!!!!

Try turing the Poxy off, someone sugguest this and it worked for me. Open firefox to the page where you get that message about refusing to connect. go to TOOLS then OPTIONS then ADVANCED then NETWORK tab then SETTINGS tab and select the options NO PROXY click OK and OK again. Now close firefox and reopen it and see if it works.

  • Cannot use my old firefox sync account after reinstalling

After reinstalling firefox I can no longer use my old Firefox Sync account. I am told that there is no such account here https://accounts.firefox.com and I created a new account, with the same e-mail as my old account.
After some research I was able to find this https://account.services.mozilla.com/ in which I can login with my old account.
My problem now is that I want to retrieve the information that I had in my old sync and I can't find any way to do it.
Also, because I was experiencing severe performance problems using firefox, I deleted some folders in my machine related to Firefox (after uninstalling) including what seemed to be the profile location for firefox.
What is really important for me is: How do I retrieve my old Firefox Sync account data or synchronize it with the new Mozilla account?
    Thanks,
    V

hello, firefox 29 and upwards is using a different sync system which isn't compatible with accounts set-up in older versions.
in this case you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the prior firefox 28 version, disable automatic updating for the moment (in options > advanced > update), link it to the old sync account (with username, password & recovery key) and upgrade after you have successfully restored your data this way...

  • Cannot use Thai in Firefox

I also use Firefox besides Safari. But I found that it doesn't work with Thai pages at all. I tried to change character set and character encoding. Also changed the default Thai font from Thonburi to Garuda as from this link http://m10lmac.blogspot.com/2007/11/os-x-105-leopard-fixing-thai.html. It still doesn't work and all I saw are garbage. Anyone knows how to solve this?

Firefox 2 has problems with various non-Latin scripts. Only the FireFox authors can fix it. Try the FireFox 3 beta instead.

  • Unable to use online version turbotax; they respond cannot use Beta Version Firefox. Help

Have used firefox in past; recently upgraded firefox probably to a Beta version. Trying to complete 2010 taxes online using TurboTax which has worked on same computer for past three years. What can I do to revert to earlier version of firefox in order to sign in to TurboTax?

When you did your deleted of the software, did you remove all folders from your computer including the ones in C:\Documents and Settings/Owner/Applications Data as well as all the folders in under Program Files?
I had a problem once with my Version and had to do a complete wipe of all folders as well as registry. If you used the uninstall program to do this then this only uninstalls the core files and leaves folders behind and then when you do a re-install everything will go back to the way it was before unless you wipe out all "National Instrument" folders.
Try that and see what happens. It can't hurt anything since you can't use it the way it is now. Just don't delete your setup program if you downloaded it from the website.
I hope this can help you get it up and running.

  • I cannot use JAVA with Firefox but I can use it with Internet Explorer WHY?

I have never had a problem when JAVA 7 was needed to use a program. Until now. Firefox will not allow me to use Java. I have to open Internet Explorer when working with any program and it works.

To protect Firefox users, Mozilla has blocked/disabled Java 7 u6 and below due to serious security flaws in the previous versions of Java 7. The security flaw would also apply to any other browser using the affected versions of Java 7. You can see the version of Java and whether it is disabled in Add-ons > Plugins; look for "Java Platform SE...". See - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/p138
You can check your '''''enabled''''' Plugins at any time - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

    * If the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down, that should make the Menu bar appear (Firefox 3.6 on Windows) (see [[Menu bar is missing]]).
    * Make sure that you have the ''Navigation Toolbar'' and other toolbars visible: View > Toolbars .
    * If items are missing then see if you can find them in the View > Toolbars > Customize window.
    * If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to the Navigation toolbar.

  • I need to download a version of Firefox that is optimized for Yahoo! but I cannot use Firefox 4 for Yahoo! because it doesn't support Norton 360 as of yet. Any suggestions?

If you do have any suggestions, where can I find it? The only place I know of is the http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html web site and you can only get version 3.6.16 there and it's NOT optimized for Yahoo!. Please help!
Yahoo! keeps sending me the following message in a box on my screen along with the links to Firefox 4 and IE : Attention: Please upgrade to the latest Yahoo! optimized browser to ensure the best Yahoo! experience. But, as I stated in the question above, I cannot use Firefox 4 yet because it does NOT support Norton 360. Plus, I don't trust IE8 to use Facebook!
Thanks for any help you can give me! Your very prompt attention to this question is greatly appreciated as I am sort of at a standstill before moving on with my work.

I downloaded the newest version of firefox today 8/16/11 and now I cannot use Evernote (nor does clipmarks work from before) this is unacceptable. How do I return to the earlier version of firefox? If there is no way to do this, then I will have to use internet explorer so I hope you can help me with this. Thank You, Carol Roberts

Until Evernote updates their add-on to mark it compatible with Firefox 6, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Add-on Compatibility Reporter] to try re-enabling it yourself.
You can also downgrade to a previous version of Firefox from [https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ this archive], but please be warned that some old versions of Firefox have known security bugs that are fixed in later versions.
