Cannot use formula in LabVIEW 8.5 library error

Hi,
I'm not able to open the Formula function. It says the library is not accessible. I just installed LabVIEW on this machine. Any ideas?

I'm with smercurio, and think that a reinstall is probably your only option. You could try to delete the files that are causing the issue and then try another repair, or you could do the reinstall and know you're going to fix it.
And Jeff is correct that in older versions of LabVIEW it was a little ambigeous what needed to be installed but starting in 8.6 we added the "Installed with:" field to the help, and it 2009 we changed the name to "Requires:". This makes it easier to know what the VIs installed with.

Cannot use Mouse Scroll to Navigate Through Library Folders ?!?!?!

Just like the title says, I cannot use my mouse scroll to navigate up and down the numerous folders I have in my library. I can grab the page bar and move up and down (and while I'm hovering over the page bar, I can scroll up and down with the mouse wheel) - but only when I'm actually over the folders, the mouse wheel doesn't work!
Very strange. It works fine when I'm in develop mode and I can scroll through all the presets and history.
But when I'm in library mode, the mouse scroll doesn't move my folders up and down ?
Anyone?

IIRC, there is a known problem scrolling with the mouse wheel in the panels across certain "borders", i.e. into the folders section, into the collections section. You have to use the scroll bar to get across those "borders".

Cannot use REPEAT 1 + scroll through music library at the same time.

I was able to do this in iTunes 10, but with the new version I CANNOT do this. Does anyone know how?

I had a somewhat similar experience. When I enabled paid iTunes Match on my iPhone 5, iOS7, all of my locally-stored songs on the iPhone disappeared and remained gone even after I disabled iTunes Match on the iPhone.
A chat session with Apple support revealed that iTunes Match will in fact supersede any synched content on the iPhone. The suggestion from Apple support was to download on the phone all the previously-synched content via iTunes Match wireless connection. Of course, that would take hours if not days. And that crazy workaround won't help you because you want songs other than what you have in the Cloud.
It appears that various members of this forum have not had this same experience. I'm not sure what's going on here. Usually with Apple's tight control of hardware and software these anomalies are avoided.
And I didn't really need iTunes Match except I wanted commercial-free iTunes Radio (which I think is great, by the way). At least for now, commercial-free radio (with a paid subscription) can be achieved only by enabling all of the iTunes Match features. I'm not sure why Apple requires this bundling unless its part of a general push to a streaming model for everything (more revenue opportunities) as opposed to supporting local storage.

I'm using a Mac OS X (10.9.2) Mtn. Lion (converted to Mavericks) and use Safari for Gmail, my long time email program. Lately I almost cannot use Gmail at all. "Missing Files", "Errors", etc, etc, and can only use it in Basic HTML. HELP!

I have no idea if the problem is with Safari or with the Gmail files. I get the msg. "Error' over and over and often "you may have entered the address wrong" (when I KNOW I HAVE NOT) and other msgs. which I do not remember at this time. I'm having to use ''Basic HTML" and that seems to be OK - tho it is insufficient. The "Mail" app in OS X works fine but I cannot tolerate the format and must solve this dilemma. Any suggestions? I've read the "related issues" section and have not found anything closely related to this issue and would appreciate any suggestions.

Cannot Use Printer with my Photoshop CS5. Error Message.

I am encountering a problem that I never have before. When Click on File>Print I get this error message: "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."
This happened suddenly. I had been printing with no problem just a few minutes prior. I did nothing unusual that I can recall to have caused this error message. I am using a Mac Pro using OS 10.9.5.

TS2776 cannot use my calendar any more responds with error

Did you already try to reset the iPad by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?
You will not lose data doing a reset, but it can clear some glitches.

Or have you transferrred your GarageBand from a different computer?
The error message is saying, that your GarageBand installation is incomplete. There are essential foldrs missing in your system library.
Check, if indeed both folders are missing or if only the permissions are set incorrectly.
Your system library (the folder "System" directly on your system drive) should have the following folders inside the folder "Audio", and they need to be readable by the system and by administrators.
And in the folder /Library/Application Support there should be the Instrument Library.
If these folders do not exist (or no longer exist), restore them from your backup- If your GarageBand version is a new installation, the application may not hve been downloaded or installed completely, then reinstall GarageBand.
What is your GarageBAnd version, and how did you install it originally?

This happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

I've not read anything that suggests that iTunes Match considers the computer used to subscribe to be any different than any other computers that are later set up on the account (by using the same Apple ID to add them to iTunes Match).
I've associated three computers with iTunes match, each with their own unique libary. All of those libraries were merged by iTunes match. Moreover, Apple states that any of the computers can be used to delete songs from the cloud.

To delete an item from iCloud in iTunes
From a computer with iTunes Match enabled, open iTunes 10.5.1 or later on your computer. You can download the latest version of iTunes here.
Click Music on the left side of iTunes.
Select the item you would like to delete. Right-click the item and then choose Delete.

I used the following workaround:
Open a Library you are trying to get rid of; Click "Edit", "Select All" and then Click "File" and "Export". Follow the steps to export the events to your Desktop.
Open the Library you intend to be the sole library when you've finished this process. Click "File" and "Import to Library". Import all the events that are now on your desktop.
Move the old Library to Trash. Move all the events on the desktop to trash.
Repeat with the second library.
The only thing is that now you have copies of the imported photos in your one remaining library. But, I've found that the loss in quality is not noticeable.

Using Fieldpoint from Labview RT on a PXI System

I have a PXI system with Labview RT (PXI 8186 controller with LVRT ver 7.1).
I wanted to connect a FP remote I/O system to this controller. The Fieldpoint system I have has a FP-1000 RS-232 Network module.
I was hoping to be able to connect the FP-1000 to the serial port of the PXI-8186, and use the standard Fieldpoint VIs to write/read data (as you would from a Windows-based Labview app).
It doesn't seem to be that easy, trying to download any code with a Fieldpoint VI down to my RT target gives an error ("failed to load shared library FPLVMgr.dll on RT target device"). Looking through MAX I see that Fieldpoint drivers are not loaded on the RT target, and there is no option to load them there either.

w do I control my Fieldpoint units from my PXI System using Labview RT?

Hi, Ravid.
Effectively, under LabVIEW RT, you cannot use the standard FieldPoint VIs to communicate to a FieldPoint module, since they are not supported. If you have a serial module, like the FP-1000 or FP-1001, you need to use Optomux commands to interface and communicate to it. You can find great examples on how to do the communication in the Example Finder of LabVIEW >> Hardware Input and Output >> FieldPoint >> Optomux >> and use any of the examples that use VISA to communicate to the modules. To run the examples, first target LabVIEW to your 8186 and open the example. Before running it, match the baud rate and address specified in your FP-1000 with the controls in the Front Panel. Also, verify that you have either an alias defined for COM1, or use AS
RL::INSTR1 for the VISA resource name. You will need to have VISA RT installed on your RT Target to be able to run this examples.
You can find the Optomux commands in LabVIEW under the Advanced FieldPoint palette. For more information on Optomux commands, you can take a look at the FP-1000/1001 Programmer Reference Manual

After that, I put Call Library Function node in editor and double click Call Library Function node. I browse test_dll.dll into Library name or path and set function prototype to int32_t main(int32_t a); but it show error Call Library Function Node 'test_dll.dll:main':function not found in libraly. How to use dll in Labview ? And I have more question is what is differrent from Tools -> Import -> Shared Library(.dll) and use Call Library Function node.

The issue you are having is that LabVIEW is not capable of using C++ DLLs directly. It only handles C DLLs. This does not mean that if you you cannot use the DLL if it's compiled with the C++ compiler as opposed to the C compiler. Rather, it means that you must take extra steps in order to use it from LabVIEW. The primary issue is that of name mangling or adornment. This is discussed here: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4877. Basically you need to prepend extern "C" in front of your prototypes in your header files.
