Cannot use Keyboard and touchpad at the same time? Twist

Hi,
I have the lenovo twist with the i7 processor and a 500GB hard drive (8GB ram). I have noticed that when using the keyboard, you cannot use the touchpad. Although you can use the trackpoint? I know this is a minor issue but can it be updated to fix?

Yes, that's true - you can disable the "Prioritize for keyboard and touch input," but then you lose Palm Check ENTIRELY even though it's still "set" to its default position. Mine is set one setting from the red setting, so the Palm Check should be active and working as normal. However, when I start typing it goes nuts and my mouse pointer jumps all over the place. The only way I can get it to behave is to again enable "Prioritize for keyboard and touch input."
Can you confirm this?

Before the upgrade, I was able to use both the touchpad and the mouse at the same time, using the following xorg.conf settings:

with the InputDevice sections remaining the same for USB Mouse and Touchpad. This didn't change anything from the last setting: the mouse was working but the touchpad wasn't.

Try this:
Move "SendCoreEvents" to the Touchpad line (replacing the "AlwaysCore" bit) and then comment out the USB mouse. So in the end, it'll look like this:
Section "ServerLayout"
InputDevice "Touchpad" "SendCoreEvents"
# InputDevice "USBMouse"
EndSection
Restart X and see if everything is working right.
PS: You may also want to consider changing the Touchpad device line to "/dev/input/mouse2" instead of "/dev/psaux" as I believe psaux has been deprecated in kernel 2.6. I could be wrong, but I can tell you that /dev/input/mouse2 works great with the touchpad on my Dell e1505.

I cannot use data and voice at the same time.

I cannot use data and voice at the same time.
I am on Wifi (connected) and at the same time I am on a voice call. when I switch to my RSS feed reader it does not sync it comes out with a message cannot connect to internet, I thought it is a problem with the feed reader application, IE 10 behaves the same I cannot browse when I am on a voice call.
This is a very basic issue, am I missing something? Please help.
My Model is lumia 820 with the latest portico update.

I am aware that packet data via EDGE and voice cannot happen at the same time, surprisingly when I am on voice call I cannot connect to internet via Wifi too

G510 Can´t use keyboard and mouse at the same time

I got my y50-70 laptop four days ago for gaming and when i played portal for the first time i noticed I had a really hard time playing it. It wasn't until I was at Glados that I realized that it was because my laptop wouldn't recognize my finger movements while i was using the keys.
Ive been researching this for the past day and can't find the solution, and I believe its because my settings seem to be different? Ive looked at multiple solutions and everything says to turn palm checking off, but I dont have that option? I can turn it down, just not off (it does nothing btw). I was wondering if anyone else has found the solution to this problem yet and came here.
It would really help if you had pictures so I can figure out where to go in settings (a lot of the things Ive read has told me to go to a certain settings tab that I cant find??. Thank you so much btw!

Update: I clicked around and somehow disabled elan. My problem is solved but I no longer have two finger scrolling (my favorite feature). If you're looking for a solution to this problem and dont care about zooming, scroling, ect, what I think I did to disable it was rolled my driver for my mouse back. To get there just search for device manager, click on the one that says something about mouse, and go to the driver tab.
If you have another suggestion please suggest it!!! I can live without two finger scroll, but would like to have it :/

Exceptions are used when there are some mistakes , or exceeds the supposed values, we can highligt that in different colours for enabling the validator to notice easily. In this we are giving conditions for considering the value as exceptions. suppose, if the values is out of the range -1 to +1 then exception.
But conditions can be considered as the restrictions given in measure level also. So please elaborate what you meant by conditions

Ipod nano (5th generation) - want to use headphones and charge at the same time

I have an ipod nano (5th generation). Do I need a special set of headphones to use the headphone jack and charge the ipod at the same time?

The iPod nanos have a 30 pin dock connector and a headphone jack. When you charge the iPod you use the dock connector therefore you can use and charge at the same time. You cannot use and charge the iPod shuffle at the same time. You might have the two mixed up.

Lenovo G500 - Can't Use Keys And Touchpad/Buttons At Same Time

Whilst gaming, primary button use for me will be WASD (Directional) and obviously right&left click.
The problem I'm getting is that whilst I'm holding one of WASD, then say right click to shoot it doesn't shoot - almost as if the button is locked whilst i'm holding a key. When I hold a button, and then press a key it allows me too. It's just when holding a key I can't press a button.
I have searched online for ages, put palm check on minimum(I can't turn it off, it's not a option), disabled synaptics, tried to install Elantech(Couldn't) but nothing seems to work.
It may not be the biggest issue, but it really takes the fun out of playing games as I have to stop walking so I can shoot.

Can you try the following:
If you have a Synaptics Touchpad:
1. Uninstall the current touchpad driver and install the driver below from the Synaptics website
Windows 8/7/XP/Vista 64/32-bit Edition v17.0.19
118.1 MB zip
After installing the driver above, try to check if you can now disable Palm Check
- Touchpad PalmCheck - Turn On or Off in Windows
If you have an ELAN Touchpad:
- check this article
If the above fix doesn't work, try to temporarily uninstall the Touchpad driver (don't re-install it) and check if you can now use the WASD keys and the touchpad at the same time..

My SB Audigy 2 card can't use headset and musicamplifier at the same time

Hi, i just bought a SB Audigy 2 [D400] and i have downloaded drivers and programs. I run Windows XP SP2.
The soundcard works fine but it is very very annoying that i physically have to change the jack in the green=line out jack from headset to musicamplifier when i want to use my musicamplifier and change back the jack in the green=line out from musicamplifier to headset when i just want to use the headset/headphones .
In the shop they told my that i can connect both amplifier and headset at the same time and then with creative software control whether there is sound in the headset or in the amplifier. But i can't simple get it work.
I tried to use the green to the amplifier and the headset/speakers in the black (line out 2) and then with creative speaker settings softeware choose headphones but still the ampliefier receive the sound and no sound in the headphones. Why? In fact no matter what configuration i try the headphones doesn't work.
But if i change the jacks so headset is in the green line out then only headset is working and the amplifier doesn't work no matter i put it in sort=line out 2 jack or orange=line out 3 jack.
Can somebody here tell me if it is possible or not to connect both headset and external amplifier and control by software which to play? and how?

If you can have an ASIO compatible music playing system, then it might be possible to have system like you wish when using Creative Audigy 2 card. Since ASIO bypasses Windows Audio System, you can use both 'drivers' (ASIO - WDM/MME/DS) side by side.
Say you want to play a game (using headset /w mic) and someone other like to listen music at the same time. With ASIO capable system you can output your music for example to "center L/R (stereo) channels" and same time output sounds from other source (using MME/DS/WDM drivers) to normal output channel (Front L/R). Only thing is, you need to set your speakersystem to 4 or 6 (depending which other channel you're using) (and for better 'balance' to adjust "angle" on THX console. You get the THX console by installing Audigy 2 Zs software).

If you use ASIO on BeatPort Player you can select L/R individually from the list(s). Same rules as described earlier.
= You can play from 2 different sources simultaoneusly (ASIO + WDM/MME/DS) to two different outputs without disturbance. The other (WDM/MME/DS) source is set 'automatically' output to (Audigy) "green" port, and the other (ASIO) to "black" or "orange" port (as set).

Can WRT54G use WPA and WEP at the same time?

I used to have a smc 802.11b wireless router and a dlink 802.11b wireless print server.
In order to have WPA and a firewall, I replaced the wireless router with a linksys WRT54G.
Then I realize the dlink print server, even though it has the "g" keyword in the model name, does not do WPA (DP-G321).
Do I have to buy a 802.11g wireless print server? Or is there another solution?
I don't supposed the linksys router can do both WPA and WEP at the same time?
Connecting the print server to the router with a cable is not feasible. They are on different floors.

both of your devices are has a wireless b technology settings, just set a wep encryption on your network rather than wpa because some wireless b devices don;t work with wpa. with regards to your query if wep and wpa can be used at the same time, the answer is no.

Your iPad will use wifi first if available. If wifi is not available, it will use 3G.

Cannot paste object and text at the same time

If I copy object and text at the same time, it will only paste the text and the object is disappear, but it's no problem if I copy them separately. Besides, If I copy multiple text objects, they will be combined to 1 text object and the font will be changed when I paste.

Its a conflict with the software you have installed that creates multiple clipboards. Its aknown issue from another thread.
Remove that software and life will be fine.

Cannot pair bluetooth keyboard and mouse at the same time

I cannot seem to use my bluetooth keyboard (offbrand) and microsoft bluetooth mouse at the same time on Mountain Lion. Whenever I switch over to using the mouse, the keyboard stops working even though under the bluetooth menu it says it is still connected. I either have to switch off the mouse or turn off and on the keyboard to start typing again. I have tried resetting the PRAM but that didn't make a difference. I also updated the aluminum keyboard firmware update 1.1 and it doesn't seem to do anything either. I know it probably isn't interference because they both work flawless on the same machine in a windows bootcamp partition. Is there anyfix for this?

Sorry, but after doing some research, it appears you can only use one at a time.

Yes.
set 2 instruments to different midi channels.set the keyboard and pad to match.
record enable both tracks in arrange.
check: file/song settings/recording/auto demix by channel if multi-track recording
this will allow you to record them both.
