I have subscribed an amount in order to call Canada from Hong Kong. The credit was sitting in my account, but I dial any numbers to Canada, it cannot be connected, it has been like that for 3 months.....How do I use the credit?
for example, I need to dial 800-230-3809.

Please confirm you are attempting to place calls using the Skype client software on your computer? Yes, you do need to sign in first in order to place a call.

Cannot use my credit on a redeemed voucher

I succesfully redeemed a $20 voucher(see my account) and it says i have $20 credit. However when i purchase an app it charges to my credit card without giving me any option to use the credit which i have already redeemed.
Please respond.
It wouldnt let me proceed without entering my card dtails to confirm my identity and now after purchasing 2 apps i still have $20 credit.....!!!! I am ready to throw my ipod in the bin.
This is unbelievably frustrating. I demand a refund and I cannot believe that I may have to make an appointment and travel to an apple store to do this.

Apple is not here, Apple does not answer questions here.
Apple has stated that credits on an account, such as from an iTunes Gift Card, are used prior to other methods of payment and that a bank card is only requested when the credit will not cover the full cost of the purchase and only to cover the outstanding balance after the credit has been used. So as fellow users, we can't offer more insight.

What are you seeing on the iPad's screen when trying to purchase things, and is this the first time that you've tried to download anything from the store ?
If it's the first time then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method
then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
If you are getting a prompt to review the account then you could see if the steps on this post by mountaingoatgirl lets you do so without needing to enter credit card details : Re: What do I do if I do not have a credit card.

I Keep getting a message that says "cannot use this credit card". There is nothing wrong with my visa card. Why do I get this message?

It is a 'proper' credit card (and it's not a debit card) that you are trying to use, not a pre-paid card ?
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If your card does match then you could try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's not being accepted : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

I am from Bangladesh, I recently bouhgt iPad Air 2. Now I am interested to buy Apps from iTunes Store with my Credit Card, Can I? I am asking this question because yesterday I used my credit card to buy GoodReader Apps with price tag $0.99 from iTunes Store, after clicked BUY option then I put my credit card information as soon as Apps Store showing me a message that my address mismatch with the provided with the bank. As a result I haven't able BUY the App from the store, but my credit card account charged with $0.99. But I did not got the app GoodReader with price Tag $0.99.
Please give me a proper guide. And also why the iTunes Store charged my credit card account though they have not permit me to buy the app? How to claim to reverse the amount?

Each time that you try to add a card, or change its details on an account, a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - your card issuer should remove within a few days or so.

In terms of buying content, you have to be in a country to use its store, and have a billing address in that country on your account (you also cannot use a credit card issued by a bank from another country). As far as I can see there isn't currently an iTunes store in Bangladesh, until if/when Apple open one then unfortunately you won't be able to buy any iTunes content (apps, music etc)

Now I'd like to give a song to a friend of mine as a gift, and I'd like to use my credit instead of using a credit card. Is it possible? Actually in my account settings credit card is set to "none" and iTunes asks me to insert a regular number. Why?

Sorry, but you cannot use a credit from a gift or prepaid card to purchase additional gifts. I don't know why it's not allowed, but it's not. To purchase a gift for someone else you'll have to enter a credit card.

Using iTunes credit to purchase voucher

Hello iTuners,
maybe this is too obvious for me to see or just impossible, maybe you can help me figure out.
I have an Australian iTunes account running since I lived there for two years. I'm switching to a German account now in order to use it at home (different Apps offered) but still have roughly $50 in my account.
So I tried to use the credit so send a voucher to a friend in Australia. But every time I want to purchase it, iTunes wants to charge my credit card rather than using my account credit, which is pretty pointless in this case.
Do you know of any way around this???
Any clues will be much appreciated!

Sorry, but you cannot use a credit balance to purchase a gift voucher or other gift. You'll need to use a credit card.

How can I purchase this item with my store credit?

I was finally able to download itunes on my laptop, this is really a pain in the butt, not I want to purchase a song and it's asking for a credit card and I have $18.71 credit on my account. Why can't I just purchase a song using the credit that has already been put on my account.???????
