Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in web browser error

I have a new computer and have Acrobat Pro installed. When I try to click on PDF links in browsers, I get an error:
Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in web browser.
I want to be able to open these links using Acrobat Pro. What can I do in Internet Explorer so I don't always receive these errors, and so pdfs automatically open using Acrobat Pro?

Because it was not designed for Windows 7 doesn't mean it cant run.
If you install the applications as administrator, you shouldn't have problems. I have installed both Reader and Pro versions on Windows 7 32 and 64 bit without problems, as long as I did it as administrator. You right click on the setup and select Run as Administrator. You don't need to do it for updates if you go through the update option on the help panel.

Cannot use Printer Specific Options

I have a mac mini with my Epson Stylus Photo R220 setup over a USB connection. I can successfully share it with my PC laptop over the network using Bonjour. However, I can only use a 'Post Script' driver. If I try and use an Epson driver, it will not print. This means I cannot use options for different ink settings, paper settings, photography printing settings, etc. Basically any features for the printer itself I cannot use. All I can do is basic printing of documents. Is this fixable using Bonjour? Or do I have to plug the printer directly into my PC to use those features? Thanks for your help.

That is normal for bonjour. Printers require a direct connection to use the advanced features of the printer.

Recently downloaded new drivers for C6280 and still cannot use printer it will not finish setting up

have been using acer note for a year with my hp C6280 printer no problems, but switched printer off couple of days ago and now cannot connect to acer note anymore, I downloaded the recommended drivers but the process will not complete,
can any one help with this.. thanks mags

I noticed that you downloaded the new drivers for your HP Photosmart c6280, but you still cannot use it, due to the fact the setup will not finish. I am happy to help you with this installation issue!
For further assistance, I will need some additional information:
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is connected, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies.
In the meantime, if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens!

Cannot use Adobe to view pdf in your web browser

Running Acrobat Standard 8 on a Windows 7 machine with 4 gig of memory. Upon installing Acrobat 8 on Windows 7 I get a pop-up window everytime I try to open a pdf in a web browser. Using IE8 and FF 3.5 both give me the same error.
"Cannot use Adobe Reader to view pdf in your web browser. Reader will now exit. Please exit your browser and try again. (attached)"

I'm having the exact same problem. After clicking OK on the dialogue the pdf file loads just fine.
Checked the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe key - Acrobat is pointing to the right place. There are no references to acrord32.exe in the registry at all.
I've removed, reinstalled and installed all the latest patches, but nothing seems to help.

Cannot Use Printer with my Photoshop CS5. Error Message.

I am encountering a problem that I never have before. When Click on File>Print I get this error message: "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."
This happened suddenly. I had been printing with no problem just a few minutes prior. I did nothing unusual that I can recall to have caused this error message. I am using a Mac Pro using OS 10.9.5.

HP 8625, cannot see Print Preview or Select Pages

On my new HP 8625, I cannot see the Print Preview feature nor can I select to print specific pages. This used to work on my HP c309, so I'm thinking perhaps it's a printer driver issue. I am specificially having this issue with Excel but it may be occuring in other programs as well.
Any suggestions?

Hello @TheEveryman , welcome to the forums
I would first suggest checking to see if you have Print Preview and the option to print specific pages from other programs, besides Excel as this will show us if the problem is solely within MS Excel, or all programs, which could be a driver issue.
Skipping forward a little bit and assuming the issue is in all programs, you could try Uninstalling the Printer Software, restarting the computer and reinstalling the printer, here: HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers.
Please let me know which operating system you're running on your computer and the results from testing the other programs on your computer. The more detail you include, the better!

Cannot open Print setting panel in Pages, Open Office, Word......

I am a new MAC user, and recently when i try to print a document via any APPs, the APPs just force quit and send error report to apple.
what's happening?
BTW, i am using EPSON ALC-C3000N, download driver from epson website.

Have you opened the System Preferences program, clicked on the Printer & Faxes icon, and set up a printer? If you have, don't be insulted, I ask because frequently people don't. If you have, return to that dialog and delete the printer you set up. Then add it again. Sometimes a printer configuration gets messed up and needs to be setup fresh.

Mouse click works while in IE or Safari. Only doesn't work in Firefox

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links in that part of the screen not clickable.

No you shoudl never go into the XML source unless uinstricted to do so.
You can open the script editor (under the window menu). It will appear above the drawing area but below the toolbars. You can resize it if there is not enough room. When you click on an object in the form you can choose an event to script against in the Show dropdown. In your case you will want to choose the prePrint event. A line will show up that indicates the object that is associated with the script as well as the event and other information. Add your script below this line. Once that is done you are finished and your form is ready for testing.

Is there any way in Adobe Reader to limit printing to only one page at a time?

We have a large piece of internal knowhow in the form of a pdf document that we don't want users to be able to print in one go as it would risk the document leaving the premises. We are quite happy with users using print screen for single pages, but that doesn't really produce readable results.
So ideally we'd like users to be able to select print, but when they do it should only allow 'print current page' or just print the first chosen page instead of the whole selection. For instance, selecting pages 123 - 145 should only print page 123.
I've looked in to various areas already. We are delivering this document through a secured version of Adobe Reader via Citric application streaming, so are able to customise the config.js file any way we want, however I've looked through the Java Reference Guide and haven't been able to identify anything that might satisfy our requirement this.
I've also looked in to Document Actions such as "Document will print", but again (perhaps due to a personal lack of programming knowledge) am unable to find a way to fix the print option to a single page.
Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated.

The sponsor is not happy for low res printing either. As an organisation we should be looking at DRM more closely, and we've added to the requirement with this problem. We are also going to look in to the option of attaching metadata and scanning that at our exit points (e-mail, printers, usb's, etc.) so that users have free reign internally but can't send sensitive documents out. Obviously it's all going to be very expensive!

How come when I try to print a PDF file it takes a long time to flatten and then says "The Document Cannot Be Printed" and then "No Pages have been selected to print"

What is your operating system? Reader version?

I want tabs on bottom. Instructions say go to Firefox tab at top of page. There is no such tab & I can't change it from Tools options.

I just installed FF 5.0 & info page says to change tabs back go to Firefox tab on top of page and click options. There is no such tab on my page. Also if the guy in the video tutorial about why this is "better" spoke clearly and about 50 miles an hour slower, maybe I could understand what he was saying. You have a lot of glitches tight now. My password would not work & when I reset it & tried to access the "Support" page it said "Access Denied". This was after it said my password was successfully changed. Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).<br />
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.<br />
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.<br />

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Cannot use pages on new mac mini

I got a new mac mini & have a bunch of documents, but I cannot look at them.
I've tried pages, but it wants a software serial number.
I don't have one & when I go to buy one, it says that I have the program.
I just cannot use it.

There's a long standing issue with the old downloadable trial version of iWork applications and the boxed DVD version and current Mac App Store version. A longtime iWork user created an AppleScript that deletes all the old trial version files. Look for the file named Uninstall iWork 09 and run it.

The recent releases of iTunes have brought a bunch of bugs into the printing of CD covers.
Some people report that directing the iTunes print output to PDF, and then printing to paper from the PDF, solved their problem. Others have reported that it did not help. Worth a try.
