Cannot use video

I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 which I use with iChatUSBCam driver. I've been always able to use my camera but suddenly, cannot tell if after 10.4.9 upgrade...I get a message saying "your camera is in use by another application".
I have no other application open.
I guess the camera might be taken by other software like skype, which I also use, but I don't know how to disaffect the camera to be able to use it back in iChat.
I have used the camera with both softwares in the past with no problems.
Any idea of how to solve this problem?

What drivers is the camera using ?
iChatUSBCam is now at 2.2.1 IS this the version you have ?
Their Camera page suggest that the 4000 Pro is now dicontinued.
DO you know if it is a Usb Video Class device ?
If so then 10.4.9 shoul;d make it mork once the Original drivers are uninstalled and the com.apple.ichat.plist that holds the camera info is deleted and iChat restarted.
The .plist is in Users/(your account)/Library/Preferences

I have this same issue! The button for to launch video chat isn't even there and when I go into skype to video in there I am able to get about 30 second of video then it freezes and won't come back.

I would suggest a couple things here.
First, close all the apps that are open:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

Then restart your iPhone and try again.
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If that does not fix the issue, reset the phone and try again

If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If the issue still persists, then I would backup and restore the phone in iTunes.

Photos and a few of the videos came over but i am missing the majority of the videos. Help please!!! I have tried omnidisksweeper with no success in finding them.
in my Usage it says i have over 40 gb of movies when i only have about 9gb which i can see using spotlight search. i really hope the other amount is my missing videos! these are videos of my kids as babies.

Read this post and do the migration again, putting the library in a portable shape first if necessary.

"Cannot play video - The Connected display is not supported" error message using Netflix 5.0.2 on my iPad

I'm running iOS 7.0.3 on my iPhone 4S and iPad (3rd gen) and have just upgraded to the current version of the Neflix app available in the Canadian App Store (5.0.2).
Although all other apps I've tried (e.g. Podcast, VLC) are able to properly output video & audio directly to my TV using the HDMI adapter (i.e. NOT via an Apple TV), the Netflix app pops up the error message "Cannot play video - The connected display is not supported". If I start a video and then plug the HDMI cable in, it will play for a few seconds and then halt with the same error message.
Netflix & Apple were supposed to have been working together to fix the previous issue with this scenario which was causing audio to be output but no video. The current Netflix app update was released yesterday and seems to have taken a step backward.
When I contacted Netflix support, they indicated that they have done whatever can be done from their side and this is now Apple's issue.
Any ideas?

I have an iPad 2 16GB with iOS 7.0.3 and Netflix version 5.0.2. I cannot watch netflix on an External LCD monitor that I have through VGA out. I use bluetooth speakers, so the AirPlay is going to that for Audio. Before this update, this combo worked without an issue.
So as of Friday Nov. 8/2013, I contacted Netflix support, and they said they fixed the problem on their end, and the fix is on the Apple side of things, and to contact Apple support.
So, I contacted Apple support, and the first person I spoke to said I would have to agree to pay a $35 fee for 30 days of support to this problem since my unit is out of warranty. I said this isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, and I'm not willing to pay to fix a problem you created. So I got a Senior Level advisor on the line, and she was helpful, and she's looking into the issue for me and said she'll contact me sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday (Nov. 12 or 13) to let me know of the issue.
Here's the thing: this is a combination of Netflix and iOS not working correctly with any of the Apple Authorized Dongles. This is truly a code error that some hot shot programmer had major oversight on, and their management didn't catch it either. There was no reason for Netflix to rush to get this Netflix update going until Apple sorted out the bugs in iOS 7.
Anyway, if I hear anything from Donna (the advisor), I'll post it and let you guys know. In the mean time, good luck!

I had this problem but found that I needed to change the security setting in Safari for plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"

If you have iPhoto 8 and Lion then download and install QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later. That should let you view clips in the iPhoto library.

Success!! There truly is a light at the end of the tunnel. Apple support really did come through and I am successfully back into my account. Ready to purchase more music. I followed the instructions, with patience I thought I lost, submitted my problem, someone emailed me back within two days and all is now perfect. Thanks again Apple.

Usually, that's due to a DivX plug-in or Safari extension... start with Safari - Preferences - Extensions & switch them off. If nothing there, see Safari - Help - Installed Plug-ins & note any that are for DivX.

I did the whole upnp on off trick..i was able to do one way video chat but the 2way video chat has been elusive. I dont know the port forwarding numbers so im stuck or hope someone can help with the whole netgear port nonsense thanks for your help though RALPH

Welcome to the Apple Discussion Pages.
Have you opened the ports in the Netgear ?
If you used UPnP try turning it Off anf then On
again.
Also go to System Preferences > Quicktime and set the
Streaming speed (Streaming tab and drop down) to
match your Download speed.
Can you tell us what you think the required ports are

I rented a film on my iPad but when I try and watch it I get a message 'cannot load video' as soon as I get to around 15 minutes. The film is fully downloaded and paid for.

I Rented the film inhale on my iPad a few nights ago, this is not the first time I've rented from I turnes, I've don't it many times before and never had any problems. This time I cannot get the film to load. Every time I try to play the video it comes up with a message saying 'cannot load video' as soon as I reach around 15 minutes of the movi. and then shuts the video down. I'm annoyed because having got 15 minutes in my film will now expire in 48 hours even though I can't actually watch it. I'd like to see it tonight if anybody can help please, thanks.
