Cannot user adobe connect on MAC
I have been using adobe connect on a windows pc for a while now, and it works great! Just recently I tried to use it on a Mac and was unseccessful on two mac machines being unable to share my desktop with others and on the other i am not even able to install the add-in. I am using mac OS X 10.4.11 let me know if anyone has the same issue. Thanks in advance for any help!
Other ideas.....
1. Check your ethernet cord/connection. I had a bad plug that was missing the little clip to keep it tight. I kept losing connections and saw that my other laptop that was in the same meeting was running fine. Once I replaced the plug on the end of my ethernet wire, it was fine after that.
2. Replace your ethernet cable (same issue as above)
3. Check your router/hub. Sometimes they need to be re-booted or even replaced. I've had hubs go bad or go "flaky" and not provide solid network connection 100%
4. Re-boot your internet Modem or Cable Modem. Sometimes these devices get corrupted and need to be re-booted.
5. Run a network speed test: http://www speakeasy.net/speedtest If you see odd ball speeds reported, then perhaps your router needs rebooting.
6. If you are in the habit of leaving your computer on all the time and it has been days/weeks/months since you had a fresh reboot, then try rebooting.
7. Best practices for any web conference is to use ethernet and not wireless. Wireless connections are always known for inconsistent connections and duplicated data as well as interference from other networks and devices. The best and most secure experience will always be on a wired connection so try to use wired as much as possible.

Unfortunatley it doesn't work. In my ~/Library/Preferences there is no Macromedia, no Flash Player and no www.macromedia.com/bin/connectaddin.
Can anyone please help me get rid of this add-in?

Please make sure all your browser windows are closed. You may also have to enable the hidden files.

Cannot install Adobe Connect Pro ADD-IN
I try to run the test to see if I pass the things that requires for using the program adobe connect pro. But I fail on the last one saying that ADD-IN didnt install correctly on my computer. I click on the button "Install here" but I get stopped by another pop-up window sayin that it is not possible to "get it" (in swedish "hömtningsproblem").
I need to help to "get" the adobe connect add-in!

Cannot locate Adobe Connect Server URL info
I recently purchased Adobe Captivate 8.0 and I have seen how Responsive Design works. Now, I am trying to publish and display the content to display on a mobile device using Adobe Connect.
My mobile phone does display regular websites, but it does not display any of my responsive design projects.
From Captivate
Click Publish
Select Publish to Adobe Connect
In the Name box of the Publish To Adobe Captivate dialog box, I enter a valid name for the project
(The URL box is blank.) Click the Orange folder icon
In the Adobe Connect Server dialog box, I click Add
In the Add New Server dialog box ...
I can enter a name in the Name box, but ...
I don't know what to put for the URL box
It is in the URL box that I am stuck. I don't know what to type or where to get/find the information.

If you have Adobe Edge Inspect, you can preview the Responsive project output in Mobile.

Cannot update Adobe Acrobat for Mac from 11.0.0 to 11.0.01
Hi all. I cannot update my Adobe Acrobat from 11.0.0 to 11.0.01. There's been some error during the installation of the update. I have tried uninstall and reinstall for several times but didn't help. The error log is as follows:

Bill@VT has the correct troubleshooting procedure though. Download the update and try updating locally rather than through the ARM updater. -
Cannot establish socket connection on Mac
Hello everyone,
I'm having problems creating an ftp socket connection on the MacOS 9 platform. My program runs perfectly well on the PC.
This is the fragment of code I use to open a socket.
(I don't show the entire function but this is where the exception occurs)

Right now the error I get is:
java.net.ConnectionException: OpenTransport -3155 error: connection refused
What in the world is going on here? I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!!I assume that you have verified that you can login to the ftp site using a regular ftp client (e.g. Fetch) on the Mac?

Cannot download adobe photoshop on mac
I know that adobe no longer supports systems on mac, however I checked my computer and I have the qualified bit which is 64 to download adobe photoshop lightroom, ect. but it is not allowing me to do so.

Thanks for reading this. I have set up a Mac Pro as a server and am using it as a file server and also for ftp backup. What I would also like to do is to have the mac pro act as a domain controller for the xp machines. Basically when they turn their machines on in the morning they log on to the mac server and get their details from the mac.

Since I switched to Yosemite on my MacBook Air, I cannot access Adobe Connect presentations. Suggestions?
Compelling? No. I just feel like I'm falling behind with my injury and lack of production. That's it.
I have a couple of clones. One on my partitioned 2nd internal and one on my USB External TB drive. I was going to do it the reverse way and boot up off the cloned internal if or when I needed 10.6.8 (Quark) and in case I f'd the whole system up with Yosemite. I probably shouldn't be making any major moves due to the pain remedies they've given me to get me to the next surgery (which is why I'm boring apple users with personal BS).
Anyway, I'll load Yosemite on my external. I'll partition it into 2 drives so I can keep 10.6.8 on there as well.
Does that sound like a better alternative? Like I said, I shouldn't be overhauling everything without 100% of my faculties (or whatever I normally have left).
Would you do anything different. Have you installed Yos yet? Is it stable if yes. My girlfriend has an Airbook with 10.7.5 and I was going to install Yos on it since I've just loaded GIMP and other free web/imaging software for her photography. Would you do the Airbook or just same advice and use her external clone drive? -

RanjanNot having the Screen Share icon sounds like they were a the Participant level of permissions in the room, and needed to be promoted up to Presenter or Host to be able to share their screen.

VPN connection on Mac gives "PPP Server cannot be authenticated"

I am trying to connect my mac mini to my company's VPN. On my mac mini I tried the following to connect to VPN.
- System Preferences -> Network
- Created a new network, interface: VPN, VPN type: L2TP over IPSec, service name: Office VPN
- Configuration: default, Server Address: 222.222.22.222, Account Name: user1
Authentication Settings -> User Authentication Password: (password), Machine Authentication Shared Secret: (secret)
This does connect the mac to the vpn but after an interval of 6-10 minutes I always get a "PPP server cannot be authenticated" error. I can't seem to understand what is going wrong over here. The same problem is with every mac trying to connect to this vpn. Windows PC users did not report a problem of such sort.

However, the Firewall options are not in System Preferences, but in the Server Admin in the Dock. Click on it, click on the triangle next to your server's name, then go down to FIrewall.

Cannot connect from Mac Pro late 2013 to Macbook Pro
Cannot connect from Mac Pro late 2013 to Macbook Pro . I have tried via ethernet and wifi. I can connect from the MBP to the Mac Pro but not vice versa. I have tried to connect to other MBP's on the same network with no luck. I try and connect as a registered user, as I usually do, with no luck. When I enter the Username and then Password the box vibrates as if the details are incorrect, they are not however.

To answer you question. Other sharing services work. I can connect as a guest. I can share screens. I cannot air drop.
I cannot connect either way now i.e. from Mac Pro to MBP and vice versa.
I cannot connect to my wife MBP either. My wife cannot connect to my Mac Pro.
It neither works with wifi or ethernet cable.
I can connect to my Time Capsule directly and Time Machine backups are working.
The passwords are 100% correct.
The Mac Pro is a late 2013. Does anyone else have a similar problem? I have never suffered this one before. Seriously effecting my workflow

InDesign 2014 CC continually fails to update....Cannot reach Adobe Servers check internet connection

I am windows 7 user and have been using creative cloud to run InDesign CC 2014 without issue until the most recent update....the update fails and reports back "cannot reach adobe servers - please check firewall and internet connection". This is a little strange since all other Adobe updates (including ID CC) and creative cloud updates go through without issue.

Yes - 4 or 5 times reaching only 4% before failure, it only seems to be with ID CC. The network administrator says there is no block or firewall to the adobe servers which seems logical because creative cloud itself would not update if this were the case. Could it be the ID update file itself ? -
Computer crashing in Adobe Connect when using Mac OS 10.9.3 Maverick
Have been experiencing computer freezing, getting kicked out of Adobe Connect session, webcam and chat box not functioning properly inside Adobe Connect. Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000The add-in is version 11.2.385 from July 2013. I've tried uninstalling that version and reinstalling an add-in from this page (http://www.adobe.com/support/connect/downloads-updates.html) for Adobe Connect 8. That add-in at least allows me to launch my webcam, but it crashes 10-15 seconds later and Adobe Connect restarts.
With the new add-in (the first one I referred to), the entire Adobe Connect session shuts down when I click to "allow" Adobe Connect to use my webcam. It never starts it at all.
It's crashing with both internal and external cameras. It's more the clicking "allow" that crashes it, I think, because I've tried both. I prefer to use my internal camera on my new Asus laptop.
And WOW, it DOES work as it should when launching in browser. Thank you for that piece of advice.
