Cannot validate ADE after instaaling the program. In the help menu it's impossible to activate the grey line. Acer laptop Windows 8

I've installed ADE 4.0.1 without direct validation. Now it is impossible to validate the program. In the help menu the lines are grey. What is the solution?

I can (Ctrl+ Alt+ Delete) & get the Task Manager. But from there I have no clue what to do with the Task Manager because Win 8 Task Manager seems so different than
Win 7 task manager in my opinion
Does it have a More details button? You would need to use that to get to a more familiar display. Otherwise it would just look like the old one's Applications tab and without anything running probably appear empty.
So, your symptom may mean that explorer.exe has stopped running for some reason (though strange I think that it would not try to recover). Then, you could use TM to try starting it again, or you could use it to try starting other things, e.g. using
the File, Run... command. Alt-F, etc. Or try switching to a different account. E.g. it may only be a problem with your account, not the whole OS.

Hi Chris,
The only way that I know of to change the colour of the window headings, these,
is in the System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > Display and change the White on Black settings, using grey scale in there to helps, but it also opens a hole lot of other issues as it reverses all colours throughout the system. You can switch it back and forth as shown on this setup screen.
Other than that, maybe changing the screen resolution so that all items are larger or zooming the screen when you require it by holding the Control button and scrolling the mouse or two finger scroll on the trackpad.
There may be, of course, a third party app that changes the colours by searching google.

Issu in Rejected PR after cancelling the requistion line

Hi,
I have an issue after cancelling a requisition line in the rejected purchase requisition.
I have 2 purchase requisition lines in PR. Approver rejected the PR as one requisition has to be deleted. PR status changed to 'Rejected'. Originator cancelled the requisition line though Tool->Control and sent for approval. But the PR is still in 'Rejected' status and is not going to supervisor for approval.
How can i bring this PR to 'In progress' state so that it goes for approval.

JSP for Vcard cannot strip carriage return in the last line of the file.

I am using JSP to output a Vcard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCard)

I originally had that END:VCARD without any carriage return.
But I still get an extra carriage return at the end when the JSP renders to VCF
I'm using Tomcat running on Linux.
I found this, article which implies (but does not explicitly say) JSP in general adds a newline to the last line:

The last time I used iMovie was about a month ago. I have successfully imported and edited many projects in the past year. I just imported footage from a Mini DV camcorder as I always have in the past. When I click on video to drag to the time line, as soon as I move the mouse pointer, the video thumbnail becomes ghosted and I do not see the thumbnail or green + symbol when dragging. I even moved the mouse pointer to the timeline anyway and released the mouse click and nothing happened. I even tried dragging image files and MOV files from the Finder to the iMovie interface and that would not work either.
What is preventing me from dragging?

Also, after the video thumbnail is ghosted, if I click on the ghosted thumbnail the thumbnail image does not appear in the preview window. Instead, the preview window turns black.
Also, if I double click the ghosted thumbnail I do not get the Clip info dialog. It's as if the clip no longer exists, but I can see it's ghosted thumbnail.
Also, I showed my wife the problem and she just told me she was using iMovie 2 days ago with no problem.

Cannot send messages after crash, the solutions offered didn't work.

On Tuesday (april 7) there was an update to 31.6. On Thursday there was a crash. Since then cannot send messages. The solutions offered didn't work.
I'm getting the message that the SMTP-server doesn't support the selected authentication.
I tried the solution mentioned. But nothing helps. I configured the outgoing server on the different types and deleted the password as mentioned. After that I did the configuration with the different types of configuration again. No solution.
There is not a web-mail possibility. So I'm stuck now.
There is no problem with the incoming messages, they are coming in. Should this password be deleted also?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check with your email provider about the correct server settings, and compare that with your account settings.
There is no point guessing or trying arbitrary combinations of settings.

Software update my phone has gone into recovery mode and I cannot use it after doing the latest software update ???

I have just done the latest software udate ios7.1. the phone is showing the itunes logo and the connection lead. I plugged it into the pc and a message comes up saying this iphone is in recovery mode and must be restored before it can connect to itunes, but i cant get into the phone as the screen wont do anything. I clicked on the pc to restore the phone but nothing has happened. The phone is an Iphone5c

I cannot introduce birthdays after select the option from Preferences

After I selected "Birthdays" from Preferences I do not find the way to write a different name/birtday in different days. If I write down the name in "description" will stay always the same. I am not allow to modify each one as I do with the other options like fun, home, etc.

That's because the Birthdays calendar is being filled from the Address Book: that's where you need to add/edit the data.

Ive unistalled and reinstalled versions of adobe flashplayer to fix the problem, cleared computer of cookies, allowed plug ins, and tried various other options to get videos to work. So far it keeps telling me to install latest version of adobe when i already have. how do i fix this????

Problem after attempting the "Forbidden line"

After hearing about the line that causes skype to crash (Containing Http://) wont finish it as I believe the people who could help me already know about it, I attempted it with my uncle. Writing it on my laptop instantly crashed it with out sending the message, but then I tried to send it from my phone and it worked to send with out crashing my phone. It crashed my uncle as expected and skype on my laptop.
After this I removed the message that I sent from my phone, logged back in on laptop and continued using skype. But now it randomly crashes, I have not managed to find a pathern to it, been during calls, with nothing really going on at all, during chats.
I tried to clean all chat history on both phone and laptop, deleted and re-added the contact i attempted it with, with out any success to fixing it.
I hope this get fixed soon, but till then. Does anyone know any solution to make my skype crash?
(Computer that it crash on is a Dell studio 1749, with Windows 7, and yes skype is up to date.)

After upgrading to Yosemite, i wanted to go on to iMovie, but i have to update. So i try to update but it refuses and tells me: "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
So what i understand is because i bought this mac in the US and I'm using it in the UK its not letting me update it. But what i don't understand is that i was able to upgrade to Yosemite with my mac knowing i was in the UK.
How can i update my applications?

Cannot sync Ipad after updating to ios7! Please help!

I just updated my family's Ipad, called "Soy's iPad" to ios7. I created a backup on my iTunes account just before I updated. Now, when trying to sync my Ipad after downloading ios7 iTunes gives me the error:
"The iPad "Soy's iPad" could not be synched because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.
To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store choose Store > Authorize this Computer."
So I authorize the computer and iTunes gives me the message "This computer has already been authroized." So, naturally, I try to sync the iPad again. It gives me the same "computer is no longer authorized" error message. It's an infinite loop. Please help me get my data back on my iPad.
Signing out and then back in to iTunes does not help either. Also, under my iTunes account under manage devices, Soy's iPad does not even show up as one of my devices anymore. How to I add my iPad back as an authroized device on my Apple ID?
Is anybody else having this error?

Your iPad is not syncing with iTunes now and before it does start to sync and before you create a backup that overwrites the current backup that holds all of your data and camera roll photos, you should probably turn off autosync. I should have thought of that before, but if the iPad isn't syncing, no damage has been done.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Click OK.
If it doesn't make that much difference to anybody, you could try deleting the app and see if that will let you sync after you delete it. You will lose all of your progress in the game if you delete it, but - if you did create a backup before you updated - then your game progress should be included in that backup.
BTW, did you try restoring from the backup that you created before you updated, and then try to sync with iTunes? Restoring form that backup should restore the old settings that were on the iPad and the iPad was syncing properly while using those settings.

I figured it out. I had to re-enter my serial number to re-activate the programs.
