Cannot view any Videos on Youtube after installing flash 10

Hi there.
I had my day off today and have been viewing videos on youtube all day.   I had adobe pop up to say that I should upgrade to the newer flash version and I did this.  Afterwards I went back to youtube to continue watching the videos and now I get an error message "An error occurred, please try again later."
I have followed all the advice I could find.   I uninstalled all adobe programs and rebooted the comp then installed again and I still get the same thing.   I downloaded the offline uninstaller and ran it 5 or 6 times then reboot and installed and again same thing.
I am using Vista and I have never had any problems with viewing videos.   I use Firefox as my browser, but Internet Explorer is experiencing the same difficulty for me when I checked it.
Please help me out.   Tried to figure it out on my own but I'm stuck.
Thanks!

Sounds like the problem I was having. Places like YouTube kept asking to upgrade to a new version (which I did) and to check that I had Javascript enabled (which it was). I tried installing new versions of FlashPlayer on several occasions and they seemed to work, but FlashPlayer 10 was clearly not working.
I found a support page http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/494/cpsid_49419.html that directed me to use the standalone uninstaller, then use a Microsoft SubInAcl Registry tool to fix some pemissions in the registry. Then I installed a new version of FlashPlayer and everthing has been working well since. I have no idea hour the registry permissions got messed up in the first place.

  • I cannot view any videos on youtube or embedded videos on other sites..

    I have upgraded to Firefox 13.0 and double checked all of my plug-ins and addons too. I just went through upgrading everything. I go to the websites to make sure they are working by playing a trailer or a video and they seem to be functioning on that site. When I go to Youtube though and push play it tells me "An error has occurred. Please try again later." I have even tried to uncheck the "Enable hardware acceleration" box too. Nothing seems to be working. Even going back to an earlier version of Firefox does not work or starting in Safe Mode. I can watch videos in IE though just fine, just not in Firefox.

    I also updated my Shockwave Flash too but today I was finally able to fix my problem by using the information I found on here:

    Thank you!

  • Cannot watch any videos from Youtube

    I bought a EA3500 router and the setup went fine. I have two computers on the network and both have acces to the Internet. But on one of them which runs Windows 7 and MCAfee Antivirus I cannot watch any videos from Youtube. On the other one which runs Windows XP all videos are running great. I've check the firmware version and it is the last one. I've try to disable the firewall in McAfee and it still does not work. Can someone help me. Thank you Artofmontreal

    Are you still on the classic firmware or are you using cisco connect cloud? It might have something to do with the media prioritization.  As long as you did not prioritize a certain device or computer over another, the router should allow all devices to stream.

  • I loaded 4.0 and now I cannot view any videos. Flash player causes Firefox to stop responding.

    I am running XP. I recently loaded Firefox 4.0 on my system.
    There were a lot of problems loading some web sites. Your help system suggested to disable all plugins. I did this and I don't have problems with web sites anymore but I cannot view any videos. I have tried reinstalling Adobe Flash but it just causes Firefox to stop responding.
    Ideas?

    '''''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Start Firefox in Safe Mode]''''' {web link}
    While you are in safe mode;
    Press the '''<Alt>''' or '''<F10>''' key to bring up the tool bar.
    Followed by;
    Windows; '''Tools > Options'''
    Linux; '''Edit > Preferences'''
    Mac; ''application name'' '''> Preferences'''
    Then '''Advanced > General.'''
    Look for and turn off '''Use Hardware Acceleration'''.
    Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart

  • Cannot play any video (even youtube vids) on my HP TouchSmart 520 with Windows 8 in Metro Mode.

    HP TouchSmart 520 PC
    Windows 8
    Just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.
    Upgrade was uneventful.. went very smoothly.
    Problem is now I cannot play any videos in the new Metro Mode (I tried using various apps... Video, youtube player, etc).. not even youtube videos.
    However, when I select Desktop mode.. everything still works fine.
    Any idea what is wrong ?

    Hello WongKO:
               Welcome to HP's forum. I do not know much about Windows 8. Reading this fact sheet it says that you need to purchase the media software and upgrade to Windows 8 pro. This fact sheet should guide you. http://www.windowsupgradeoffer.com/en-US/Home/Faq? Windows 8 system requirements section.Will DVD playback work after upgrading to Windows 8? This one is in general section. Will installation media be available for purchase? Back to Windows 8 requirements. Is Windows Media Center included in the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro? Least you are able to watch videos in other mode until you figure out what is best. Good luck frrw. Ounce you have figured out the software purchases you should post it to help others out. My computer is to old for upgrade. No drivers were made for it.

  • I am unable to view any videos on Youtube, my flash player is up to date.

    This morning it was fine, now I am not able to view any video's on Youtube, I followed the information on your blog under the flash player options and it did not work.

    Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
    Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache
    or
    Tools->Options->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]
    Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie and refresh page if above does not do it.

  • Whenever i try to view any video on youtube(or its videos on other pages), the color seems to have shifted giving a unpleasant video

    the colors are not aligned. i have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox,updated plugins but still no change. other browsers dont have the problem. plz help

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
    Try to disable hardware acceleration.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    *https://hacks.mozilla.org/2010/09/hardware-acceleration/
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers
    You can also try "Disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player.

    HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...
    Uninstall then reinstall the most recent version of Flash which you need for YouTube.
    Uninstall Flash
    Install the most recent version of Flash here.
    Now repair disk permissions.
    Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

  • Fix the: Cannot view PDFs in Safari Window after installing CS3

    All,
    To fix the problem of displaying PDF files in Safari after installing CS3.
    Open Adobe Acrobat 8 and then go to the preference menu, on the left hand side look for internet, select this option and then UNCHECK the options to use to open PDFs.
    Apply and quit Adobe Acrobat 8. Quit Safari if still running and then reopen. What Safari does now is use the default settings and will open the PDFs as before.

    If it's not essential that the Adobe plugin handles PDF files then try turning off the plugin support via Adobe Reader preferences -> Internet -> Unselect the option to handle PDF files (sorry, I'm not on a Mac to quote the exact text but it's words to that effect).
    If no other plugins handle PDFs, Safari should pick up the slack and handle them natively.

  • Every time I install Flash Player 14 and open my browser I get the message asking me to allow Adobe Flashruntime. I allow it and the message repeats itself constantly. My OS is WIN7 64 bit. My browser is IE11.  I cannot view any videos

    I would appreciate any assistance with this matter.

    I  resolved the problem by doing an uninstall and reinstall of IE11. I guess that was the problem all along. Got to love IE.

    When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.

     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
    and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.

    I cannot view any video clips requiring adobe flash player such as my facebook videos. When I download the adobe flash player nothing happens and it continually says to download. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?  I am using MacBook Pro O SX. Thank you.

    Just to check, in the directory /Library/Internet Plug-Ins do you see the file Flash Player.plugin?
    And after reading your last post I have to ask, did you install the plugin after you downloaded it?  Of course anwering my first question will answer this question.

    Hi, i had the same problem and tried this,
    Somehow iTunes is tied to Safari. Try this:
    Someone mentioned to clear all website data and history in safari, stupid but it was either this or the below that fixed it
    or this,
    Disable Wi-Fi Networking Services
    Many users have reported that they’ve solved their issues by disabling Wi-Fi Networking under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. This only relates to your location being used for Wi-Fi Networking, so it doesn’t disable Wi-Fi entirely.
    Please let me know if it works.
