Cannot view BBC live streaming since late last week

I could view BBC live video streaming until Friday of last week and it is not working again today

There must be a problem or conflict with another program on this machine because I ran the update on another machine configured similarly and it plays streamed material just fine. I'm going to download just QuickTime and install it.

Cannot get HLS Live streaming to work

I'm struggling to get things going on the HTTP live streaming side.
I'm using FMLE 3.2 w/ Flash Media Server 4.5.
Format: H.264
Frame Rate: 29.97
Bit Rate: 800Kpbs
Profile: Main
Leven: 3.1
Keyframe Frequency: 4 Seconds
I'm streaming to:
FMS URL: rtmp://hostname/livepkgr
STREAM: livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent
I have verified the stream is working by connecting via flash to
rtmp://<HOST-NAME>/livepkgr
livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent
I can't get the stream to play in iOs/Safari. I've been trying using the instructions via this doc (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/devguide/WSd391de4d9c7bd609-52e437a812a3725df a0-8000.html)
If I try to access the following file: http://<HOST-NAME>/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8 I get FILE NOT FOUND.
Looking on the FMS machine under /opt/adobe/fms/applications/livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent is see no files other than Event.xml and Manifest.xml
So...it seems like no stream is being created in the livepkgr. What can I do to troubleshoot?

Sounds like the hls-live alias isn't working? Off to check Apache. That alias is supposed to be set up by default isn't it?

Firewire issue - Cannot see my camera since upgrade last week

Hey all,
I just did all of the iTunes/QuickTime updates last week and it knocked out my crappy Canon ZR30 DV camera. I was digitizing in Final Cut just the week before. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix? The camera does not show up in QuickTime or any other Firewire app.

That sounds frustrating! I'm here to help. It sounds like both of your devices are not recognized in iTunes for Windows. In my experience, the following resource usually provides a solution:

No wifi since update last week on 4s

Since the last update my wifi is completely greyed out so can't select a network. Have tried apple's fix, which worked for all of 20mins. Any other suggestions before I take it in to Apple tomorrow.

Since updates last week Firefox crashes each time open google maps even in safe mode

Last week Firefox updated itself and there was a java update too. Since then I have been unable to access google maps within my browser, every time I get the grey background and then FF crashes. Have tried clearing cookies, safe mode, disabled the few plugins installed and a complete reinstall... same problem.

N8 Belle cannot view BBC News Live with BBC iPlaye...

I have recently bought a Nokia N8 with Belle and BBC iPlayer.
I can play BBC1, BBC2, BBC4 & Parliament live (& maybe others) but when I try BBC News live all I get is "Loading".
I am using BT Broadband Wifi, I'm on O2 SIM free, and live in the UK.
Everything was OK on my previous N97.
I can't seem to find anything about this on Nokia forums or the BBC. I have just put a query to the BBC but they don't guarantee to answer them all?!
Does anybody have any ideas on this problem please?

Update:
The Nokia Care Team seem to be assuming it is recorded items that I can't view and havesent me another copy of WMDRM DLA iPlayer plugin version 1.02(1) . I did install it as requested but I still have the problem.
I can view, live, BBC1, BBC2, cbbc, CBeebies, BBC Parliament.
I don't seem to get the option to view live BBC3 or BBC4 (today anyway).
When I view live BBC News I just get "Loading".
Nokia Care are also asking for:

Software Version: 111.030.0609
Strange . . . Is no-one else having this problem?!

I have Safari. Why can't I view live web cams?

No real idea since you post no details about the webcams. Perhaps they're streaming in a format not supported by the iPad. If you can post the URL to one or more of these webcams, we can check them out and then perhaps offer suggestions.

Cannot view BBC or channel 4 media players

I am unable to view any online TV through either Realplayer or Windows Media Player. When I click on a link for either the BBC or C4 video clips (UK based user) then I just get a blank window opening. Any idea why this is and how I cna get round it?

When I went to the BBC Four homepage, they wanted to play the clips in Real Player. Do you have the Real Player application installed? Or are these clips somewhere else? Do you have a link?

I want to hide my time capsule so a burglar cannot find it (we were broken into last week and our imac taken).

So, I would like to keep it separate from my BT wireless router. Is this stupid? Will my wireless connection be weaker as a result?
I would like my BT router to sit in the downstairs study with my macbook and replacement imac connecting wirelessly to it. Then I would like my time capsule to be hidden away elsewhere out of sight in the event of another break in. It seems silly connecting it to the router so that a thief could easily swipe it if they try to come in again - and then my backups are gone. But on the other hand, don't apple recommend that the time capsule is your main wireless hub rather than simply annexing it to your existing network?
Will the backups be much slower if the time capsule is stored elsewhere?
Will I be unable to connect my printer to the wireless network?

Not stupid in the circumstances.. i hope you had contents insurance and got it replaced and had backups of your files.
You cannot wireless link the TC to the BT router.. you can ethernet connect them.. or use ethernet replacement like EOP adapters.

You can use it in bridge as a wireless access point plus hard disk. That will not affect the network.
Backup speed will depend on the wireless connection to your BT router.. that will be the issue. Unless you do some tricky stuff and use a secondary wireless client in the computer.. a usb stick could be plenty for the internet access but stick with TC for local lan.. but this might be getting too complicated.
Is the printer a wireless network printer or needs to be usb connected?
If the printer is wireless type then no issues.. but even that can be worked around.
The TC doesn't have wall mount holes, unlike the old discus version.. which was very neat.. On the other hand you can remove the rubber mat easily with a hot air gun and easily remove the bottom aluminium cover so to add wall or ceiling mount holes.. ceiling mount is excellent as a thief will probably never look there. or find it too hard to reach and if you screw it down well.. which you have to as it weighs a bit, then the rf radiation pattern is near ideal. Stupid apple for removing design features from one model (eg POE as well) in the old model for aesthetics only design.

I used to be able to right click in the bar above the address bar and click Size and move any one of the sides in or out to resize the popup window. Now since the upgrade, it will let me select Size but won't let me size the window, it doesnt go anywhere. Please help!

Live streaming just stopped

The server is up and running, the VOD items work fine. The server recognizes the streaming application when I output to the server, but we cannot view the stream. ? This was working fine and all of a sudden, nothing. Any ideas?

Yes, our live streams were working fine than just stopped. When I start to broadcast a live feed. The server sees the input but not able to view the live stream. VOD works fine. We are looking into the server itself. There was a pushed update and after that this issue popped up. All the FMS application services look to be started and running, but still nothing. FMS sees when a user connects to the live stream and is outputting, but nothing on the Flash player end.?

Issues on publishing an f4v live stream

i use the FMLE to push an f4v live stream to my FMS 4.0's livevideos app. then i set the strobe media playback to play the live video. unfortunately, i cannot view the live video in my strobe player. then i make a change (just delete the steam type : mp4 and the extension : f4v and the h264 to vp6 format) in the FMLE to push a flv live stream, and configure the src (just delete the steam type : mp4 and the extension : f4v) of strobe player, this time i get the live stream. what is the matter?
BTW after i get the flv stream in my strobe player , i restore the FMLE to push an f4v stream to my FMS, and restore back src on my strobe and this time i can get the f4v live stream.
the main.asc on my fms 4.0 is so simple and i am sure of the configuration of my FMLE is correct.

my main.asc is very simple. but add some authenticatioon via webservice. the FMLE's fms url setting is like the following string :
rtmp://192.168.1.2/livestreams/266?username=abc&videoId=89edrs; the fms dev guide says that the fms url is like rtmp://192.168.1.2/livestreams/266 without the query string. the query string added is to send some useful infomation to the fms 4.0, then i can parse the query string via client.uri to get the infomation to authorize the publisher. does the query string matters?
the live application seems OK. i just copy the live application's application.xml and make some change to the "LIVE_DIR". all 3 occassions use different OS on different machine from the same xp client .
