Cannot view clips from apple homepage ?

Hi there,
have been trying to view the new i phone and top tips video clips from the apple homepage but i can only hear sound no video will play, what am I doing wrong ??? If you can help me please explain in baby language as am very backwards in the computer world !!

Go to system preferences-quicktime and under the browser tab make sure 'play movies automatically' and 'save movies in disk cache' are selected. Also under the streaming tab select '1.5 Mbps T1/Internet/LAN' is selected for speed, and enable instant on with a short delay.

Cut video clips from Apple Imac

Hoping somebody might be able to help me out..I'm not very techie when if comes to video editing etc on my Apple Imac. I have a number of large video files that are far too long in playing length to post to you tube so I am looking for the easiest way to cut 10 minute clips from each video file so I can upload them onto You Tube. I don't want to have to shell out money for software so what would be the simple way of doing this.

I have iMovie 09 and tried everything but I cannot see anyway to achieve this- Is it possible to do it with iMovie 09 or do I have to get iMovie 11?

The clip is intact and it has video and audio.
I have worked on it before and all was fine until I lost the work when it got frozen!
The issue is:
I have a (MOV.) ready clip that I wanted to edit a bit, hence I have imported the clip (import media) and whenever I try to work on it, the black screen prohibits me from doing anything.
Any ideas please ... It's really strange !

Purchased Mountain Lion about a week ago and still cannot redeem it from Apple Store. Getting a "please try again later" error?

I have Lion. I have software that is not yet ready for Yosemite and I need to download video editing software that will only run on Mountain Lion and above. With this in mind, I purchased Mountain Lion online LAST WEEK. I received the secure email/pdf and tried to redeem it from Apple Store. I keep getting this message: "This item is being modified. Please try again later". That was about 6 DAYS AGO. I gave it some time and tried today and I am still getting this message.
What is going on? Called customer service and got disconnected twice (I don't think intentionally though). The third person had more info on this and it seems that Apple is just finding out about this and it may be related to the Watch rollout. Why don't Apple people say something? I check online and my order says "complete" but I have not received what I paid for and there's an error occurring. Now I am just here waiting to see if and when I can get this software.
Can someone provide more info on this? Is there another way to get Mountain Lion? Is it available on disc?
Without the OS upgrade I cannot use the video editing software.

Cannot View Doc from Outgoing Payment under Approval Procedure messages

Hi Experts,
Both Originator and the approver cannot view the some of the pending and rejected documents when they are trying to edit the docuemtns from the approval procedures messages and approval decision reports.
In effect, the approval cannot approvbed the documents as he cannot check the document for approval. The documents can be viewed from the payment draft dopcument. It will be tedious for the approval to go back and forth to draft document and approval decesion report.
I already check the authorization for outgoing payment they both have full authorization. I can view the document as a super user. I need to know what other authorization do I need to check
Both originator and approver has full acess on outgoing payment since some of the documents can be viewed som3 documents cannot bew viewed.
Please help. We are in the data catch up mode for October 2009.

Go in Admin > Approval Procedure > Approval Decision Report >
Select first check box " No Decision Yet"
select the pending one and approved it > update > ok

Old MacBook cannot purchase pics from Apple with iPhoto 7.1.5

I have an old MacBook that has OSX 10.7.5 (Lion) and cannot be upgraded to Mavericks. I also have iPhoto 7.1.5 (iLife 08) and am now unable to purchase pictures from Apple. Is there an upgrade to iPhoto that will fix this on Lion (OSX 10.7.5)?

Buy an iLife 11 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

Cannot playback clips from timeline

Problem: in iMovie HD5, I can only see a white screen when I click on the video clips in the timeline of my iMovie projects. At first the marker moved across the screen with no picture and no sound, but now I can't even get the marker to move across. Basically nothing happens when I click on a clip from the timeline now. Tried several projects and same thing. However, I CAN play and view the clips from the clip section that's to the RIGHT of the screen. Has anyone encountered this before?
So far, I've tried restarting my computer, throwing away the iMovie.plst file in my Library, in movie preferences changing the quality of the playback. I also have about 100 gb of space on my harddrive, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Well, this morning I went through older iMovie projects and found that they worked fine. So I went back to the more recent ones where I was having the problem. It was strange, the pointer on the screen would scroll across as if it were playing, but again, blank screen and no sound. I tried different settings in imovie preferences but had no luck.
Then, on one movie I made a small change- I deleted a transition, closed and saved the project, and then when I reopened it it worked fine. So I did this with the rest of the lot and they all seem to be working normally again! Go figure!
So essentially - I went in to the project that was having the problem and made a minor change. Saved it, reopened it and then it was back to normal.
Also, when wierd things happen I like to shut down my computer and then turn it back on... I'm not technical, but I've had a lot of luck with that when programs are acting quirky.

Just uninstalled Adobe FlashPlayer and cannot view videos from several major sites such as CNN, VRT (Flemish Radio Television), etc...) Which version of Flashplayer is safe to install?

I uninstalled FlashPlayer because the last 2 weeks my fan was running continually and the CPU was hot!
I did this on advise of "mende1" and it solved the problem!
But now I'm stuck with the fact I cannot view those videos that work with FlashPlayer...
On the ADOBE site I can download older versions, starting at 10.1.
I'm confident that the heating problem does not exist with the older versions.
Any idea from which version it started? Which version should be safe to install?
From 10.3 they say that you can update directly to 11.7.
I guess that the problem entered somewhere here.
So I downloaded the file named "playerglobal10_3.swc", but it than it says that there is no standard program associated with it to open.
So what's the next step?

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

How to make a single multi-view clip from different cameras?

Hi,
I recorded one conversation between two people with two different cameras (i.e., a camera per person) and I'd like to create a single video clip where the two clips from the two cameras are positioned side by side, i.e., one clip of the two people talking. I tried creating a Multicam clip but I didn't see an option to export the sequence as a single clip (also there was no option of how to place the clips which suggested that Multicam clip may not be the solution for this).
Is there a way to do that in Final Cut Pro X?
Of course, this would also involve synchronising the two clips based on the audio waveform and then detaching the audio from the non-master clip.
Any advice and recommendations will be highly appreciated.

I'm having trouble with viewing photos from my handheld, the "Photo" option doesn't appear on Photo Desktop.
The expansion card is empty (when viewing My Pictures on Windows).

What version of Palm Desktop are you using? Was it installed from the Installation CD that came with the device, or downloaded from Palm.com?
If you're using the download, it often does not come with the Media/Photo conduits included. Best bet is the version on the CD.

I have downloaded Silverlight and that helps for Firefox and Opera but it does no good for Safar 4 in Snow leopard.

Viewing flickr from Apple TV

I just got the Apple TV today. It is working well but I cannot find a way to view my non public flickr pictures. How do I key in my userid and password for flickr?

Yes I appreciate what you are saying, there are a couple of other thoughts I have on this:
If Flickr works something like .mac gallery and I imagine it does, although you can't password protect your albums the general public would need to guess your user name before they view your photos.
Also your friends and family should be able to d/l your photos from Flickr and add them to their own tv's.
The process I prefer though is to share my albums via iphoto. All the changes you make to the albums are then updated on your f&f iphoto application, your f&f can quickly sync the shared album on their iphoto to their tv.
Maybe at some point the tv will support logins to non public photos.
