Cannot view featured apps in store

I upgraded to IOS 5 on day one and it has been working fine. Today I was browsing the app store and was on the featured app page. I clicked on Real Racing 2 by mistake.. I already have this game. Now I'm stuck with Real Racing 2 under the Featured tab. I don't have a button to return back to the main Featured page. I can view Categories, Top 25, Search, and Updates fine and can even download new Apps from one of these other tabs.
I've closed out the App Store app and even turned off my iPhone 4 and turned it back on again. Now my App Store starts with the Info for Real Racing 2 and I can't get back to the Featured Apps main page any more. I've searched the forums and have seen others who have had a similar problem, but they were using IOS 4. I've never had this problem until now. I can try to restore my phone but I just went through hours of loading IOS 5 a few days ago. I don't want to go through that long restore again with my 30GB of apps, music, and photos.
I'm thinking this may be a bug and Apple will have a patch out soon. Anyone else find an easy way to resolve this problem?

  • "Cannot connect to App Store"

    I know this has been asked a million times, I have gone through the steps listed under support.
    when I tap on the App Store or iTunes Store it says:
    "Cannot Connect to App/iTunes Store."
    Also, I get a network error in Facebook- I don't know if that's related, but I can't delete and reinstall the app because I can't get into the app store.

  • Shocked ! Featured apps in adobe market place - 30 downloads quanp slideshow

    Hi,
    I am confused, how does adobe choose the featured app in adobe market place. I am shocked to see today morning that quanp slideshow an app which was downloded only 30 times and not even rated once was in featured app, now it has 90 downlods.
    Same case for another featured app peypa paper downloaded less than other apps. Atleast if any highest rated app is there i would have been happy.
    Also for months staff picks are same. Adobe Wake up! We are already late in montezation. If we keep adobe market place like this. App developers like us will loose confidence. We together have to prove adobe flash platform no1 and make droid ahead of any other phones and adobe market place no 1 store than any istore in world

    Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
    If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.

    Change your country on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    At the bottom of the Featured page, tap Sign In.

    Try this:
    1. App Store>Feature>Apple ID (at bottom of page)
    2. Tap on Apple ID>View Apple ID
    4. Enter your password
    5. Country/Region>Change Country or Region

    If you are in the Philippines, check to see if the country is changed in the iTunes Store settings on the iOS device.  These steps will show you how to change the preference.
    Change your iTunes Store country
    Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. TapSettings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
    Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

    After updating my iPad2 to iOS6 I cannot update my Apps anymore. Error message says "Account not in this store". I changed my iTunes store to Philippines and synced my iPad. Didn't do any good.

    Go here:
    Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
    and confirm that it's set to the correct country for your account. If it is, try signing out of your account and back in.

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    Hi - you can do what you want to do with AirPlay from your iPhone - but unfortunately it is not as easy as the people in the Apple store told you - your first problem is that you have a non Apple router - you cannot extend a non Apple router wirelessly with the Express - you can only join the network and connect an ethernet device to it - you can however connect via ethernet and have it create a wireless network of its' own - you can set this up from your iPhone or the XP - but this is a complicated setup and would involve many different discussion areas of this forum - therefore I would suggest that you use your 90 days of support and consult directly with Apple to do this - go to this link - http://www.apple.com/support/contact/

The message that I cannot connect to the itunes store is strange that it offers no option and I have to hit OK to get out and use my ipad or iphone.

    Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
    If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and changing the date to a few months (or maybe a year or two) in the future and then re-trying
