Cannot view photos or images on phone - N97

Hope someone can help me but I am having trouble viewing my photos taken on the N97 in the photo viewer.
They are on the phone as I can transfer to my pc ok just not view them on the phone.
I have also copied some images to the N97 using the Nokia PC Suite and I cannot view them on the phone either.
As you can imagine this is really annoying, can't even change my wallpaper
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks Nige.

I have the same problem I copy some pictures into the phone under the "Images" folder and I can not see them at all.  I created a sub-folder Pictures and still no luck.
I just don't get it, one of the reasons for not getting an Iphone is because I hate Itunes and the fact that you can only copy stuff through Itunes.
Is it that hard to see pictures in any folder or subfolder on your phone?   I can see the pictures with the File Manager (under Office)  but only one at a time which is so annoying.  The same happens with the Videos.
Come on nokia, how come the simpliest things are not working.
I already spoke to my network and they will come back to me in 48 hr, if they can not fix some basics issues (like signal problems, or things like this)   I will be returning my phone very soon and probably canceling my contract and everything.

  • Cannot view photos in the stream on iPhone 6 but can with my other 4 iOS devices

I just purchased an iPhone 6 and the setup  smooth but one thing..photo stream.  I can take pictures and they go in the stream and I can view from my other iOS devices but I cannot view photos taken with other devices on the iPhone 6. All use the same iCloud ID.

    Hi JinnaWinkas,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Try these steps first if the Photo Stream on one of your PCs is not updating:
you can't connect to the Internet, iCloud Photos will not be able to send or receive updates to My Photo Stream. If necessary, troubleshoot your Internet connection on your PC, Mac, or iOS devices.
Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, and click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Make sure that iCloud Photos or Photo Stream is turned on in the iCloud Control Panel. Click the Options button and make sure that My Photo Stream is turned on.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

  • I cannot view photos and videos from my Iphone 4 on Iphoto.

I just purchased a new Iphone 4 last week. When I connect it to my computer it recognizes there are photos and videos there but I cannot view them or import them. Can anyone advise?

Hello evanbn. I can help you with figuring out how to view your pics and music. Have you attempted to connect your device to your PC and view the files? Were you ever able to view your pics and music on your phone using your SD Card?
If you are unable able to view the files on your PC or your phone the SD Card could be corrupted or the files could have been erased. Do you recall re-formatting the SD Card? This erases all saved data. I hope this information helps!

  • LR 3.6 cannot view photos in film strip in Library mode.  Can view photos on Develop setting.

On LR 3.6 I cannot view my photos on the film strip in the LIBRARY setting.  On DEVELOP I can view on photo at a time on the film strip (the rest of the photos are not viewable).  This is a new problem which has only occured on the last two imports.

Sounds like a corrupted preview cache.  Close LR and find the catalog on the hard drive.  Rename the lrdata folder (Windows) / file (Mac) - don't touch the lrcat catalog file.  Then open LR and see if the previews reappear.  If they do, select all in Grid view tonight when you go to bed and go to Library menu > Previews > Render Standard Sized Previews - it take a long time so it's worth running overnight.  If everything looks good in the morning, you can delete the lrdata folder (Windows) / file (Mac) that you renamed earlier.

  • Cannot view photo album

Ever since downloading the 4.0.1 update, i cannot view the pictures in my photo album. it shows the number of pictures (87) but the screen is black. any one have any idea?!

If this is for the photos that were transferred from your computer, deselect Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by selecting Apply and a sync. This will remove all photos from your iPhone that were transferred from your computer. Follow this by reselecting Sync Photos followed by a sync to retransfer the photos to your iPhone.

  • Cannot view photos from Zire 71 Handheld

    Hi,
    Newby here
I'm having trouble with viewing photos from my handheld, the "Photo" option doesn't appear on Photo Desktop.
The expansion card is empty (when viewing My Pictures on Windows).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

What version of Palm Desktop are you using?  Was it installed from the Installation CD that came with the device, or downloaded from Palm.com?
If you're using the download, it often does not come with the Media/Photo conduits included.  Best bet is the version on the CD.

  • I cannot view photos in my albums in the finder window

This is a repost since my original post was over a month ago and I did not reply to any of the responses to my question.
I have my photos stored on an external drive (i don't even recall how i set that up), but here is my issue. When I try to view the photos in the Finder window (or use them as attachments) my named albums all show "0 items". All photos are visible when I look through the folders organized by years, but nothing shows up in the folders/albums I have created in iPhoto. I know I was previously able to do this, but cannot figure out what is wrong.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Somebody replied in a post that there are no image files in the iPhoto albums. In that case, I'd like to know where they are. My main interest is where I go to attach files to emails and such.
    Thanks!!!

    Raphael,
Same question as before... How is your external drive currently formatted? Is it formatted as Mac OS Extended?

  • I cannot view photos from pages of an on-line auction from Firegox, but I can view the photos when I view the page on IE. How can I correct this problem?

When I open to a page from the auction on Firefox, the photos added to the auction to picture the item are not shown. Only a numerical list of the missing photos is visible: 1,2,3, etc. But when the same page is opened on IE, the photos are shown with no trouble. I asked the web site for help, but they had no idea of a problem.

Sometimes images may be blocked by site-specific permission settings, and in other cases by extensions such as ad blockers. (If the images are displayed by a plugin, such as the Flash player, there are additional possible explanations.)
    (1) To check permissions, open the Page Info dialog and click into the Media tab. You can do this using either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Media
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Media
Click in the list and arrow down through the various images and watch the box above the image preview area that says "Block images from {site}". If that box is checked for any of the source sites, uncheck it. When you're done, reload the page.
    (2) If the images weren't blocked by permissions, try the page in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)
If the images display in Safe Mode, then most likely one of your extensions is blocking them. You might be able to solve that puzzle just by reviewing them, but if you can't find the culprit right away, you can selectively disable them in groups to narrow it down.
You would do that in the Add-ons Manager:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > ''click'' Extensions ''on the left side''
    Can you track it down?

  • Okay, so now I cannot view photos

Trying to put up a web with photos has been a challenge....I get it but yet I don't. All I want to do is share some kids sports photos with other team members....
Can't seem to get the album I created in iphoto to transfer to a group or .mac site.....and then when I go back to trying to open a photo for editing in iphoto it will not open....I just get a square with a dotted line and exclamation point....
    This cannot be this hard....

    NicknMadison:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Did you at any time rename or move any of the image files or folders inside the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder?
The exclamation point means that iPhoto has lost the path to the full sized image file inside the Originals folder. Normally rebuilding the library does not fix it. I'd try it any way by launching iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the option for the database and orphaned files.
Do you know if those problem photos are just those that have been edited? If so select them and choose the Photos->Revert to Original menu option. That may get them back.
If none of those fixes work you may be looking at starting a new library and importing the Originals folder from the old library.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • I cannot view photos on my ipod after syncing from imac 10.9.5

I have a 5th generation ipod, 80gb. I have synced to my late 2012 imac 10.9.5 and am unable to see photos. It says cannot sync as file can't be found. My music has all synced but I just see blank squares for photos, is this an incompatibility issue?

i took my ipod on vacation where it became very important I be able to dowload my pictures to the ipod in order to clean out the 1gig card. To my dismay my ipod crashed after about 90 pictures and the only way I could reset the IPOD was to let all the battery run out by keeping it on until it discharged. I then began to download 30, 40, 50 at a time and once in a while it crashed and would not let me see the previous rolls i had saved. Once again i discharge the ipod and the rolls reappeared once i recharged it. I'm dissapointed with this feature as I was really hoping it would be easier to use it as a storage device for photos.
I have a 5G 60Gb Ipod. Using the Apple camera
connector I have successfully uploaded 59 pictures
from my Sony Cybershot camera. While transferring
the pictures it showed a thumbnail. However now
under Import Photos, Roll#x, there are only Delete
Roll and Cancel Options. There is no Browse Option
as indicated in the Apple Support.
The pictures do upload to my computer when I connect
my Ipod but I would like the reassurance of being
able to view the photos I have transferred in the
field before wiping my camera memory
    card

  • Cannot view photos in iPhoto 09

I have iLife 09 and am new to the Mac world. I am wondering why iPhoto will not allow me to see pictures I was once able to. I used some of my photos in iMovie and iDVD, and they worked just fine. I went back in to view the pictures and edit them for something else and there was a huge exclamation mark instead of the picture. I can see the picture when I open the event but when I try and open the picture there is nothing there.
    Anyone heard of this before?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The exclamation mark occurs when iPhoto loses the link to the original file. As long as you're running a managed library, i.e. photos are copied into the library upon import, run the three fixes below in order as needed:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
2 - rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos.
3 - start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
    1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
    2. Open the library package like this.
    3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
    4. Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.

  • Cannot view photos after a Time Machine restore.

    Hello,
I am running iPhoto 09 version 8.1.2. I attempted to install the SL 10.6.3 update on 3/31 and all of my CIFS shares become slow and unresponsive to the point they were not useable. I chose to do a full Time Machine restore from the TM backup I had initiated just prior to the 10.6.3 upgrade. Now the last 40 pictures I imported on 3/28 appear in the events but when i click on them I get the screen. I selected the iPhoto Library and exposed the contents of the package and the none of the pictures are in the originals directory. Why are the thumbnails still present but the photos are missing? i thought about performing a library rebuild, but it does not make sense if i cannot find the originals.
    Your help is greatly appreciated

No there's no point in making a rebuild if the originals are not present. As to why this happened? More a question for the Time Machine folks.
    Regards
    TD

  • Cannot view photo attachments but must save first. How to fix?

When I click on an attached e-mailed photo thumbnail, I no longer get the option to view or save. My file cabinet opens instead asking me where I want to save the photo. This has happened twice before, and I managed to figure it out but am having trouble doing so now.

You can change the action that is associated to a file type. For more details, see [[Managing file types]].

  • Zen Micro Photo - Cannot view photos while playing mu

Played with the ZM Photo at Creative's showroom.
No video playback function - very disappointed but learned to li've with it.
No AV Out - Bigger disappointment but convinced myself it's no big deal.
Selected 'Photos' from the menu, and found the music suddenly stopped. Tried every setting but still couldn't get to browse images while listening to music. The showroom staff didn't know any better *shake head*, so can any Creative people here confirm the (non) existance of this feature?
This would really be a deal-breaker for me. What's the point of a photo mp3 player if I can't have both photos & music together. Olympus has it, as do many other generic Korean & Taiwanese brands. I might as well get myself a m:robe.
I'm actually rooting for Creative. But Creative, give me a good reason.

The lack of album art and AV out is bizarre. I said way back when the player was first announced that if it doesn't have this it'll be pointless.
It also sounds like the firmware is far from optimal. So basically we just have a colour screen Micro.
