Cannot view resources in pwa 2010

I have an admin rights ,I am not able to open and see resources in project pro to change their working times. It opens up but blank.
They are not checked out to me either

Hi Project Help,
What are you trying to do exactly? The resources' working time is determined by their calendar. The enterpries calendar is not set resource by resource but you'll open it from PWA, manage enterprise calendars. It will open the calendar in question (and not
the resource) in MS Project Pro so you can add a day off for example.
Then if you want to set holidays for a specific resource, you have to go to the resource center, select the resource, click on "open in MS Project Pro", add then change the working time of the resource adding an exception.
Can you please detail your scenario and tell us where you encounter an issue?
Hope this helps,

  • Cannot view pdf in outlook 2010

I cannot view a PDF file from 1 e-mail user in Outlook 2010.  My manager receives the same e-mail and he can view the attachment.  I can view the attachment on my web mail but not in Outlook 2010.  Our IT dept has uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook as well as other multiple things and we cannot correct the issue.

Hi - re "cannot" - the email comes through and the size in Outlook indicates a file however there is no attachement(paper clip).  My managers are copied in the same email and they can view the attachment.  My IT dept has uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2010 and it does not resolve the issue. My company just upgraged our Outlook to the 2010 version.  Please help!

  • Resources Cannot See Timsheet Tasks in PWA 2010

We have 4 resources who cannot see any tasks listed on their timesheets in PWA 2010.  For one resource this started a week ago, prior to that they could see the tasks.  For another resource the problem started today, earlier this week this person
could see his tasks.  For another resource it happened 3-4 weeks ago.  Nothing that we are aware of has changed with the projects, their Resource Records or on their computers.
In addition to not being able to see anything on their timesheets in PWA, they cannot see any projects listed in Project Center.
We are at a lose for what might be causing this.  Any ideas/suggestions?

    Hi Dennykat,
Are those resources part of the "team member" security group? Ensure that their permissions have not been modified in any ways. They also might have been removed from the project team.
When you go to the resource center, select the resources and view assignments, can you actually view their assignments?
    Then you could check:
Are the resource their assignments owner (insert the "assignment owner" column in Project Pro)?
Is the project correctly published with no error messages in the queue?
Is the "publish" value to "YES" for all resources assignments?
Are any filters applied in the PWA timesheet view of the users?
When they click on "add row" then "from existing assignments", can they see their assignments?
Try to open a delegation session for those users and check what you actually can see.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot view LAN resources

I can connect via VPN with the QVPN but once I am connected to my network I cannot view the resources available to me by LAN. I am nowhere near aware as to why.
    Please help.

    Hello Paul,
If you are connect via VPN and can ping the routers LAN IP but not the internal resources there are two main reasons for this symptom.
1- Default gateway of those clients pointing to a different router other than the QVPN router.
2- OS' firewall or 3rd party firewall blocking subnets other than its own.

  • After upgrade from TFS 2010 users cannot view source control

I recently did a in place of upgrade of TFS 2010 to TFS 2013.   All of my users permissions stayed in tact. The users (contributors) cannot view any of the source control in either in VS 2010 or 2013.  Since I am the administrator I
see everything and have no issue.   Is there something that did not get brought over in the upgrade?

    Hi Rrenn49,
    Thanks for your post.
You upgraded to TFS 2013 Update 4?  There’s no any issue or warning during upgrade process?
What’s the detailed message they received when the contributors try to view source control files?
Please manually check the contributors group’s permissions on your TFS Source Control.
If you add a new user into your contributors group, this new user can access TFS Source Control correctly?
If you have any further research of this issue, please share your experience here.

  • Timesheet Issues in PWA 2010

My company just upgraded from Project 2003 to Project 2010. In PWA 2003 timesheet view, we were able to see our summary tasks, as well as the Task IDs. I cannot find a way to display either in PWA 2010. I've read the above notes, and I have to believe that
there is some way to create a custom view or change the existing Timesheet View to allow the display of where each task is in the plan. I've tried creating a custom Timesheet View, using the "Timesheet" template, but that doesn't provide an option
to select either field (Summary task or Task ID).
Here's the deal: I have a project plan that has over 1,800 tasks, many of which repeat multiple times within each phase and across phases, and the resources are also repeating the work across the phases. This plan has up to NINE levels of tasks in various
places. So now, my resources see dozens of the same task name in their timesheet views with no context as to where each task falls in the plan.  The Task Hierarchy column is NOT a sufficient solution for my needs.
I would appreciate any and all help in figuring out how to display Summary Tasks and Task IDs in the Timesheet View.
    Thanks and happy planning!

I totally agree with your finding as above you mentioned It's possible in PWA 2003 but when it comes to PWA 2010 it is not available.
Many of my customer raised same issue for PWA 201o but unfortunately you can not see Summary task in the Timesheet view. Both you and your users have to live with this and accept the changes brought by MS.
The workaround of this problem is you can use group by first Project Name then "Task Hierarchy field".
As far as custom view is concerned see the
    link
I can also understand users raise voice and will not be happy to use it as they are habitual to use old functionality but many of the old features gets deprecated with the new version of several product.

  • PWA 2010 - Displaying summary task levels in the Timesheet

    LS
We use 2 summary task levels for some projects and I am strugging to get the summary task info displayed in the timesheet (needed for clarity to distinguish between same tasks under different summary tasks).
to display summary level one (of one) I use the task hierarchy field successully (if and only if I so the first project publish from the client - not from the browser).
With 2 summary levels present in the project plan, I can't get the task hierarchy field to display anything - if it did display what should I expect it to show - task summary 1, or 2, or both?
All help appreciated (what if i could just get those pesky PMs so simplify their GANTTS :) - working on that too...)

  • Views in Project Server 2010

    Hi,
I have an issue in Project Server PWA 2010, if i click on any of the views in any page like Project Center or Build Team page the views are not displaying( i mean if i click View button the drop down list not working)
I could not see the below page instead nothing comes if i click the drop down list, May i know how to resolve that.
Note: It is not only in Project Center page, if i click Build Team page same issue, i can see values on Filter drop down list but when i click View nothing displays.
Can anyone tell what is the issue and how to resolve that?
    K.Gokulraj

    Hi K.Gokulraj,
I'd like to be sure to understand well your issue.
When you select any of the views in the drop down menu, nothing happens meaning that you cannot change view? Waht about the default view when you access the page (like project center)?
Which IE version are you using? Can you tested on another machine? With another user? With another browser? Do you have admin permissions? Did you make any modifications on the views' definition in the server settings?
    Hope this helps,

Your PL/SQL code doesn't produce a valid XML document.
In the XML grammar, "&" is a special character and must be escaped using the character entity "&#38;amp;".
If you were using standard methods to build XML from Oracle (SQL/XML functions for instance), I'm sure you wouldn't have this error.
Please show us the PL/SQL code you're using to produce this XML output and we'll be able to help you further.

  • I cannot view my Flash slideshows in Firefox but I can in Safari. Why?

I have created some Flash multimedia packages for my company. You can view them on a PC fine, and you can view them on a Mac, but only if you view them in Safari with a FlipMac4 WMV installed. But I cannot view in Firefox on my Mac and I do not understand why. Here is just one link to my Flash work: http://english.cri.cn/6566/2010/04/23/902s565015.htm
I cannot even see the Flash file, let alone play the audio or watch the slideshow.

That is because you only have code for IE with an ActiveX classid. Firefox ignore object tags with a cklass ID.
    Use this code instead:
    <pre><nowiki><object data=" /mmsource/flash/2010/04/23/heaven.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="OBJECT1" height="600" width="600"></nowiki></pre>

    Hi Suraj,
That option is not available in FTP mode..
This option is applicable only for the File adapter. If you enter a value in this field when configuring the sender FTP adapter, it will have no effect.
    Yes, you're right !!
Are you sure that the message is not getting picked in half-way
Now, at this time, I can't see the XML data in the CC monitoring because the tool shows only the recent polling execute in the last 10 minutes. If the error recurs, I will check the payload of CC.
How can I solve the problem with reading incomplete file (FTP mode)?
...Meanwhile I will try with Full cache refresh.
    Thanks
    Daniele

  • Cannot Save Resources in Project Pro After Upgrade

I have recently migrated a test environment from v2003 to v2007 to v2010 to v2013.  All project plans, resources, custom fields, security, etc. have migrated cleanly and all functionality seems to be intact.
However, when I open any global resource within Microsoft Project Professional 2013 in order to update their information (cost rate tables in my case), the changes will not save.  There are no errors thrown to the client.  The screen "blinks"
and just doesn't finish the save.  The same resource can be updated from PWA with no issues.
    Errors I can see:
    ULS -
PWA:http://server/pwa, ServiceApp:Project Server, User:i:0#.w|domain\user, PSI: [ProjectServerError] Mismatched Attributes for PSErrorID CustomFieldRequiredValueNotProvided. List of defined attributes: mdpropuid. List of provided values: none., LogLevelManager
Warning-ulsID:0x62307279 has no entities explicitly specified.

During the migration, there are 7 project and resource fields that are tagged as "required".  If I reset them to not be required within v2013, the problem persists.  However, if I delete those fields completely, this problem goes away.
Since I have 4000 resources (and 2 of the fields are Cost Center and RBS...), I am desperate for an alternative solution!
    Thanks for any thoughts.
    Jason

I can definitely save resources in the 2010 instance (even though the SPs and CUs have not been applied there).  The 2013 instance is only running SP1.  CUs have not yet been applied to catchup the environment.  While that is planned to occur
in the next couple weeks, do you think that is an activity we should prioritize as it could potentially address this issue?
    Thanks for all your suggestions.

  • Exchange Admin Cannot View Full Room Calendar Permissions

We are a brand new Exchange 2010 SP3 (14.3 build 123.4) shop with Outlook 2010 (14.0.6112.5000), so no older versions of Exchange or Outlook exist in our environment.  I have full Exchange administration access to the system and Full Access to
    all room calendars.
If I open a room calendar in Outlook and view the Properties, Permissions the Default access only shows two Read options available: None and Full Details. Whereas if another Admin views the permissions it shows all four options.
So if Admin #2 views the room the Default access will show it has access to Free/Busy time, subject and location, but when I view the same room it shows Default as None since the other options are not available to me. So I am not getting a clear indication
of the real Default access nor can I set the correct access.  If I view it in PowerShell I can see the correct access.  I have cleared my Outlook cache and I am set in non-cached mode and I have even rebuilt my profile, and yet I still only see the
two options rather than all four. I can see all four options if I look at the permission of my own Outlook calendar, but if I look at any other calendar, person or room.  Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

    Hi,
According to your description, we understand that you have Full Access permission to all room calendars folder. If the Default calendar permission is set to Free/Busy time, you cannot view the exact Default permission. Instead, it shows None. It is normal
    phenomenon.
Based on my test, if the Default access permission of room calendar is set to reviewer or higher permission, you can view the
    corresponding permission in your Outlook.
I think the reason why Admin #2 can view the real default permission of room calendar is that Admin #2 may have full access permission to the room mailbox instead of room calendar. In other words, you can try to add full access permission to the room mailbox
for yourself to check whether the issue persists:
Add-MailboxPermission –Identity RoomA –User “Brit Whittington” –AccessRights FullAccess
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang

  • Cannot render resource resourceWrapper

running 5.4. we patched our publishing instance to the latest crx 2.2.73 and security updates and now we're getting this error:
    23.10.2012 13:49:24.974 *ERROR* [127.0.0.1 [1351000164957] POST /content/usergenerated/content/sample-site/2012/submissions-test.form.html/content/sample -site/submissions/view HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.servlets.get.impl.DefaultGetServlet No renderer for extension html, cannot render resource ResourceWrapper, type=foundation/components/form/actions/edit, path=/content/sample-site/submissions/view/jcr:content/body/start_0, resource=[JcrNodeResource, type=foundation/components/form/start, superType=null, path=/content/sample-site/submissions/view/jcr:content/body/start_0]
this is caused by a form used only to redirect to another page...
i have it as a edit resource(s) action type with a text field that the element name is :redirect and value is './edit'
which is the way it's done in the geometrixx site
still works on our authoring instance (which is up-to date with patching) but our publishing is getting this...
if someone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated

The bug is logged. As a temporary workaround overlay & add an empty /apps/foundation/components/form/defaults/action/cleanup.jsp to the form action.

  • Purchased movies on my ipad now i cannot view them

I purchased movies thru itunes and watched them in the past. Now for some reason when I try and watch a movie I get a message that tells me You do not have permission to access the requested resource.
    Whats that all about?
When I click on videos it shows all my movies that I have purchased. They don't show the cover picture just a white square box with a screen in the middle and the name of the movie underneath it. So they are there I just cannot view them. It seems I know longer have permission....whatever that is.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Click on the device when it is connected to iTunes then under setup, specify which movies to sync.
