Cannot view SharePoint Online documents through CRM Online Outlook Connector - iframe error
We are integrating CRM 2013 Online with SharePoint 2013 Online. We have installed the CRM List Component solution. We have also modified the SharePoint master page to permit display of SharePoint content in iframes. We can view SharePoint documents within
CRM using Internet Explorer after setting the Documents link for an opportunity to point to a document set in SharePoint. However we cannot view documents through the CRM Outlook Connector. We receive the error that "This content cannot be displayed in
a frame".
We have tried adding *.sharepoint.com, *.dynamics.com, and *.microsoftonline.com to IE's Trusted Zone with no effect.
The application launched by the Outlook Connector is called Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.WebFormsHost and it's my understanding that it uses the IE engine to render online content.
Is there anyway to view SharePoint content embdedded in CRM via an iframe with the Outlook Connector?
I have the same problem here.
The integration works fine outside of Outlook, but if, for example, an account is opened within CRM for Outlook the error occurs.
- No masterpage modification
- Some security setting in IE 11 (perhaps IE 11 is the problem)
- Installed the solution in the used site collection
- Configured CRM settings

I cannot view rented movies (purchased through itunes) on my iPad2 in-flight
I cannot view rented movies (purchased through itunes) with the Video app on my iPad2 while flying. On a hunch, I purchased in-flight wifi and only then could I watch my rentals. What gives? Any suggestions on how to avoid paying for in-flight wifi is appreciated.
I don't think that he waited a day. From the wording, I concluded that he waited only minutes (during take-off).
I recall seeing this issue before. Apparently there is an issue related to copyright protection with some movies. I stopped flying when I retired so I didn't pay too much attention to the problem. Perhaps a search of the forum will shed more light. -

Is the error message displayed in Firefox or in IE, or in a customized window that doesn't identify the browser?
''If it displays in Firefox:''
It's possible that the Troubleshooter doesn't work correctly unless IE is your default browser. You could test that possibility by having IE make itself the default and testing the Troubleshooter again.
''If it displays in IE or embedded in another Microsoft application:''
In a web search I found these suggestions:
(1) Reset your Internet Explorer settings, according to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/cannot-view-xml-using-xsl-style-sheet/ccfe80c6-c0db-4594-a7e3-475f9eac0e85
(2) Try the System File Checker, according to http://ask-leo.com/why_do_i_get_the_xml_page_cannot_be_displayed_after_running_a_microsoft_troubleshooter.html
Any luck? -

Communicate (CRUD) with CRM Online from SharePoint Online
Hi,
I'm working on an offer to a client where I'm considering if I'll recommend SharePoint Online.
Most of the requirements from the client are out of the box SharePoint and doesn't affect the decision to go for SharePoint Online. However, the client has one requirement, which is that they need to be able to update Entities/records in their CRM Online
solution from SharePoint. I'm not sure how those updates should be triggered, but my guess is it should be triggered when an item in a list/document library changes it's status (a status field). This would probably require custom development of some sort (Event
Receiver? Workflow?) which uses the CRM web services.
Is this even possible in SP Online?
I've done a lot of searching for this in Google, but haven't found anything interesting yet. I come across solutions for integration the other way though (FROM CRM to SharePoint), but I need integration with CRM FROM SharePoint.
Thanks!Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to communicate SharePoint Online and CRM Online.
We can use the Business Connectivity Services (BCS) to communicate SharePoint Online (SPO) to CRM Online.
The following blog for your reference:

Can you provide me the steps to achieve this?
Thanks in advance,
SivaHi,
As my searching, currently Windows search federation has only enabled with Windows Explorer. So it may not able to integrate the search function in start menu with SharePoint.

I am attending an online class through WSU Online. The course has its own internal email and electronic forums. I have to send essays daily to my instructor, and occassionally record comments on an application they call Wimba voice board. The day I upgraded the Firefox version I lost the capability to search for my computer files when trying to add an attachment, I also lost the access to the voice board.
Hi Gabrielaa,
I work for WSU Online and believe I can help you with this issue. Would you go into your course space and select the Technical Support page. Email the support address listed with the salutation of Attn: wsu_mack.
I look forward to hearing from you. -
Can CRM 2015 Online use the CRM 2013 Email Router?
We are trying to plan our upgrade to CRM 2015 Online from CRM 2013 Online. We currently use the CRM 2013 Email Router and want to know if we need to upgrade the email router immediately after the CRM server is upgraded or if we could wait a short period
of time. I searched but could not find any information on the Email Router compatibility. Does anyone have any information? Why are you using the email router if your Exchange Server is also Online? Dynamics CRM Online has Server Sync built in so it will directly communicate to Exchange Online. Much better solution than rolling up an email Router.
Also, if you don't have access to the Exchange server, I' doubt there's much you can do, since you don't have all the tools you need to troubleshoot the issue.

Prospective Account Sales Area Data on CRM Online
Hi Experts,
I am using CRM2007 SP4, and i am trying to assign Sales Area Data to a Prospective Account on CRM Online. However, unlike a reqular Sold-to account (CRM000) there does not seem to be a Sales Area Data Button where the Sales Area can be maintained for a Prospective account.
The BP Role for the Prospective account is BUP002.
It only seems possible to maintain this through the Web Client. Is there anyway which the Sales Area can be assigned to a Prospective Account through CRM Online.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JonathanHi Sasha,
I've been checking it in our system (CRM 6.0). The field Price group (cust) from ECC (KNVV-KONDA) gets standard replicated to field Price Group (Cust) on the billing tab of customer data (BP).
No additional customizing or development is needed.
The field is stored in: CRMM_BUT_SET0030-PRICE_GROUP

Unable to view documents through Adobe Reader
Hi,
The following are the softwares which we have installed.
1. Adobe Reader - 7.07
2. Adobe Acrobat Professional - 7.0
3. Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1
4. Adobe LiveCycle Forms 7.2.2
5. Adobe LiveCycle Form Manager 7.2.2
6. Adobe LiveCycle Workflow - 7.2.2
7. Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions 7.2.2
8. Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server 7.2
We have performed Turnkey installation on all the above mentioned softwares.
We are facing some issues in viewing the policy documents through Adobe Reader.
We have created a Policy through the Policy Server. Then using Adobe Acrobat Professional we added this policy to a document.
But when we try to view the policy added document through Adobe Reader, it is throwing the following error.
"You are attempting to connect to a policy server using an insecure protocol. The connection attempt has been cancelled. Please contact an administrator for assistance".
In one of the installation documents of LiveCycle products, it is given that we need to enable the SSL while running the Configuration Manager. But since we have done Turnkey installation the SSL enabling option did not appear in the installation wizard.
Can someone please let me know how to enable the SSL using Turnkey installation.
Regards,
SurajThe guide Chris mentioned talks about setting up SSL, but you need to import the certificate into the "trusted root CA" store in Internet Options on every machine which will open the document.<br /><br />You probably have got the SSL set up correctly, but just to emphasise there should be absolutely no warnings what-so-ever in IE when you hit the https://hostname:8443 address -after- closing and reopening the browser, and it should show the Padlock symbol to indicate the SSL is on. In my experience this means that the first part of the CN must be the exact hostname which you will access the server to avoid the "cert doesn't belong to this host" error which will appear in addition to the "untrusted CA" error.<br /><br />And if you are using the server in production where clients may not have permission to add trusted root CA's then you will need to use a proper SSL certificate. This guide worked for me:<br /><br />http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2006/10/configuring_jboss_325_with_a_r.html<br /><br />(p.s. I'd recommend NOT using any symbols in the keystore password, or you may have to change it to get it running with JBoss)<br /><br />______________________<br /><br />Once you are absolutely sure the SSL is spot on, this is the step which you may have missed:<br /><br />On the Policy Server administration panel, go to "Configuration" -> "Server Configuration", then update the base url. It should look like:<br /><br />https://<cn_on_ssl_cert>:8443<br /><br />Once you've updated that address, you will need to reapply any policies, since the server address is stored in the PDF document itself. Don't forget to update the policy server address in Acrobat too.<br /><br />Hope that helps,<br /><br />Robert

View word/excel documents in ITS
Hi,
Have any of you come across the following...
In transactions like FBV3, we can attach word/excel documents with a sap document. We can then view these documents. When I try to view the attached documents through Portal and ITS, I get a 'Select Program' dialog box from windows. I then have to find and select 'excel.exe' or 'word.exe' from program files for the attachment to open. Is there anyway to avoid the windows dialog ...
Thanks,
SmithaIf you wanted to role the execookie.txt file out to your user community, assuming they all use Internet Explorer, you could role a file which lets IE determine which application to launch. The following file worked for me:

Solution to sign legal documents through SharePoint online
All:
I want a solution to get documents signed by 4000 employees in my organization. What I came up with is to create a content type with all three documents and creating folders with name of employees in a document library and use the collect signature workflow.
But users are new to SharePoint and it will be hard for them to use create new document from the content type and save it and to sign.
I came across something called Docusign app which can be used for signing, and in that case we will have to create the folder and add documents to it and then invite them to sign one by one. which is kind of not practical
I tried to create the document to be signed as a list but the column name field cannot take that much information.
Same is the problem when I tried to create it as a survey.
I am looking to create it as a document library/ form library and create a document with instructions on how to open, fill and save the document. So that will be three document libraries for three documents which will save the confusion from content type.
And no signing as such, we will put a field to put user name in the document and it will be considered as acknowledgment and signature.
Any other easy ideas on this??
Thanks in advance!!
