Cannoy view video and tutorial clips ?

No longer able to view video and tutorial clips..Have the latest Real Player and Flash player.Something is blocking these from running. I suspect some Ad blocker might be the cause or that your latest program has changed some default switches. Or an Add ON or Extension is the problem. Please help,

Very true ! My main point was to show how easy it was to sync. I still think apple has a way to go to make this a great tool. It was fast to edit but when I want to send somthing to AE 5.5 it was a nightmare. I do I love how it organizes keywords and the color correction tools are good if you want to do it your self (check out this site http://www.colorgradingcentral.com/final-cut-pro-x-color-grading-table-of-conten ts ) it will be a great program if apple listens to all the comments but does not make it too complicated the you cant create quickly.

Keep Video and Audio cuts in a Multicam sequence linked together when using the razor tool.
How would you like the feature to work?
Whether inside a multicam created sequence, or a multicam sequence that has been pasted into another layer on a separate sequence, I want the video and audio to remain linked together when a cut is made. Currently, when I make a cut, the audio and video become unlinked and I have to first a. make all the razor cuts, then b. go and relink the video and audio clips back together. Takes an extra 30 minutes every time now.
Why is this feature important to you?
To save time and stop the long redundant process of click selecting the video and audio and linking them, over and over and over, in a multicam sequence. Obviously if I can do it manually, it can also be done in-program.

When you create the multicam sequence manually (still the best way, I think), video and audio remain linked.

I am trying to use the auto audio-sync feature. When I select the video and audio clip to be synced FCPX says its syncing them and then once finished (at 100%) no compound clip is created and the video and audio file do not sync. Any help is appreciated.

No - but I guess that Double Click on clip/sequense or ctrl-Click on it might open it.

Lost 200+ pictures and many videos and sound clips

So, I wanted to update the iOS to iOS5, but something went wrong. It backed up (so I wasn't too worried), but it didn't restore properly. Error "-1". A pretty much unknown error. I tried again 2 day's later, and it worked like a charm.
BUT, in the 2 days, I went to a championship DTM race, about 600km (370 miles) away, shot over 200 pictures and many many videos and sound clips. We even stopped at the Nürenburgring Nordschleife before the DTM on the way and took the car to the track a few times. Awesome.
After the restore, I had all my previous stuff back, but lost all of the Nürenburgring Nordschleife and DTM pictures... Is there any way to get those back? iTunes restored my iPhone without asking me! So I lost everything as soon as I started up iTunes...

The camera is Sony Handycam HDR-CX550. I used the internal hard disc to record. I can's use MTS clips if it is recorded on the internal hard disc. I converted clips into MOV, MP4, and Final Cut formats, non of them worked on Final Cut Pro X. I tried to import the same clips on iMovie, it worked but super slow. MOV and MP4 formats used to work for FCPX, the only difference is I recorded the footage with HD 1920x1080.
The clip I imported showed as a blue thing with two rectagle shapes on it. I can hear the sound, but no video. I also imported my old clips with sam format, it worked. I tried a lot of things, no use.

Hello all. Basically, I'm trying to solve a problem before it becomes one. I'm going to put together a short iMovie project for a thank-you dinner. Several people from out-of-town will not be able to make the dinner. I want to give them the opportunity to "speak" by having them put together a short video or audio clip. I then need to gather up all the clips and put them together in one iMovie project. I guess I'm looking for some assistance in terms of format, what types of files/formats to use, etc. I've done a few movies (mainly from still pictures -- glorified slideshows with music). But, I'm still a relative neophyte when it comes to the computer world. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (feel free to point to a "How to " tutorial if there's a good one out there).

before making you a technician on video-codecs:
download and install the free tools Mpeg Streamclip and Perian.org
you have to relaunch your Mac after doing so...-
BEFORE adding any of your external sources into an Event, use Streamclip to manually convert to DV, or if source is HDef, to Quicktime/Appleintermediate.
the resulting files should import flawless into iM, proceed as usual.
iM 'swallows' a lot of formats, so it could be this manual conversion isn't needed ...

Video and audio clips not moving together on timeline

So every time I move my video clips in the timeline, the audio clips are not following.
I know "make a stereo pair" links up the audios, but is there any way to make the video and both the appropriate audio tracks move together?

The websites could be busy. Make sure you are using the latest version of the video viewers you are using as well as Adobe Flash Player.

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, ( unless you already have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.

HT1338 Viewing videos and adobe flashplayer

I have never encountered any issues with my Mac until recently. I now for some reason have a green below my menu toolbar that shows the bookmark symbol and other sites such as apple, yahoo, etc. This green box says McAfee and has a check mark in it. I am not sure how or why this has popped up but now I seem to be encountering issues with the internet, slowing and also not being able to view certain videos and web pages. It indicates I need the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I know this is not true but I am not sure what to do to fix my computer and get it back to normal. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.
QuitTime Player focusses on video playback, it's not made or intended to play flash files. Flash is a format made by Adobe; It's a proprietary format. Witch means it need a special program, made to specifically play flash files.
make sure you installed the latest version of adobe flash player installed. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=FlashPlayer_10.1_for_Mac_OSX
after downloading the file, you need to double click on the file and run the installer. The installer will want you to quite safari; before it will install flash.
After installing adobe flash, restart your computer and verify your computer recognized adobe l flash player is installed.
you can do this by going to. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
if flash is installed, you should get a message like, "You have version 10,1,102,64 installed"
If you still cannot view google street or youtube. you could try resetting safari:

and reseting DNS cashe using a program like DNS flusher.

just download the program, copy it to applications, and double click it to run.
