Canon 20D and ipod video not compatible?

like many other users, I have a canon D20 and it is impossible to import the pictures from the D20 to Ipod. the various messages after several attempts are:
pas de carte insérée
file : 0
import failed...
we also tried with our Leica digilux 1 : same errors
we finally tried with Canon powershot pro : miracle! it works.
those who succeed with their D20 to import pictures to ipod video 60G, PLEASE describe the procedure... maybe the user nick... may help me?

I followed the Camera Connector instructions and switched both the iPod and the EOS 20D on before connecting. The messages 'Unsupported Device' and 'No Card Inserted' were both shown at different times. Upgrading the camera firmware from 1.0.5 to 2.0.3 didn't help. Then, with everything connected and 'No Card Inserted' showing on the iPod display, I switched the camera off and then on, and the iPod recognised the camera. Photos were easily downloaded to the iPod and then into the computer using Adobe Photo Downloader, which automatically started when the iPod was connected to the computer

Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! Ipod video not compatible with my pc.........any ideas please?

I bought an ipod video but cannot get started with it.I have windows ME which I thought was the same as windows 2000.....I`m useless with computers. It will only work with 2000 or XP. Can anybody recommend a download or advise me what to do without speding a fortune.Many thanks in advance.

The best option will be to upgrade to Windows 2000 or XP.

Hi - I wish I could go into a camera shop or an Apple shop to get this sorted. But there are none where I live so I hope someone can help me. I have a legal version of CS2 and use a G5 mac. I'm a professional photographer and I want only to open my RAW pix in PS without converting via Digital Photo Professional or anything else. I never have my G5 hooked up to the internet and therefore have not imported latest versions of anything. I have tried an illegal CS3 and that cannot open my RAW files either so I am loathe to buy a legal version if it does not solve my problem. While I know both my camera and CS2 back to front I am not a computer geek. I have had a look through the forums but cannot find any answers. Chao and thanks. H

Adobe doesn't offer "forever" support for new cameras, except for offering an ongoing update for their DNG converter. So, to get your canon raw files to open with CS2 you need to download the most recent version of ACR+DNG. See:

I cannot help too much, being more familiar with Windows, but the DNG converter does not need to be installed - it just simply works by pointing it at a folder of raw files.
The version of CS3 you tried probably didn't install with the most recent version of ACR, which is why it didn't work with your Canon files. ACR v4 is much improved over v3 - you might consider CS3. Another option, for approximately the same price of upgrading to CS3, is Lightroom (v2 in beta test). It offers a slightly different approach to digital photography that includes a library (i.e., database approach as opposed to Bridge's "browser" approach).

Downloaded photos from Canon 20D to iPod

I was not able to get my 20D to downloard to my new iPod. It says unrecognized device. The iPod specs state that Apples Photo Reader Adapter ($35) works with the 20D but I couldn't get it to work. I tried another adapter at the store and got the same result on my iPod and another one at the store. I don't see any settings to change on my 20D so not sure what's wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I have th canon 20d and ipod 60G video. Make sure your camera is set to PTP you'll find it in the settings menu on your camera then Soft reset your iPod(hold down menu and the center button till it resets), then plug everything back in and it should work. . Make sure you also have the upgraded firm ware for the 20d. it should be 2.0.3 and you could get it from the canon website.

Another solution would be to find a Compact Flash-to-USB card adapter that is compatible with the USB adapter in the Camera Connection Kit. Some such adapters draw too much current from the iPad.
You can also get a Secure Digital-to-Compact Flash adapter that would allow you to use SD cards in your camera.

I recently purchased a Belkin TuneBase FM for iPod to use in my car as a mount, FM transmitter, and car charger. After installing it into my car's power outlet and inserting my Ipod Video into it, I get the message "your Ipod is not compatible with the attached accessory". It does charge up my iPod battery, however my iPod screen does not display the FM frequency that the Belkin TuneBase is transmitting on and so I cannot adjust the frequency to get it to work. When you plug in your phone go to the sidebar on the left, select the device, and select the menu you want to sync.
For example at the top there is summary, info, apps, movies, etc.
If you wanted to sync movies go under there and pick and chose the movies you want on the device.
Let's assume you are doing that and syncing is not going properly. Then first double check that there is a checkmark in the top left of that page that says sync movies
If there is uncheck and then hit apply. Then it will take all the movies off. Now re-check everything and hit apply.

My advice is to install Firefox Portable ESR to your hard drive for use at that Blackboard website and continue to use Firefox 34 for other purposes. The "portable" version will instal and use a Profile that is totally separate from your regular Firefox installation - so you can have two separate Firefox versions installed without any problems.

You can do one of two things, first is to locate the songs on your computer by looking in the iTunes Folder. Once found then drag and drop them on top of iTunes to import them in. The second option is to revert back to a previous version of your iTunes library to get the data back before you installed. The articles below will assist with those steps.

I don't think it's possible if you are stuck in recovery mode but I may be wrong...
Since your device qualifies for iOS 8(.1), that is the version that will be downloaded/restored to the iPad.
I do know that you can restore your iPad (from backup & as new) and keep the same iOS version if you restore using the iPad itself under Settings/Reset/Erase All Content and Settings but since you can't access this because your stuck in recovery mode, the point is moot.
Have you tried downloading the update in the middle of the night (2 am or so) where dropouts are much less likely to occur?
It's always possible to take your device in to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar reservation first) and do the iOS update there in the Apple Store.. I'm sure they will gladly help you out with it and not charge you a thing. The trouble with that would be if you don't have an Apple Store nearby.
