CANON 350D with Apple camera connector problem !

Dear all,
Can somebody help me out with the following problem:
When I connect my 350d to my new Apple video 60GB via the original Apple camera connector I get the message device unknown and it simple will not import any images stored on the 350 D
Hope you can help since i'm now on holiday with a lot of phot

I just got one of the camera connectors today and got it to work with the A620. My iPod froze the first time; I think because I plugged in the camera before turning it on. I've only transferred a few pictures so far. I'll probably fill up my 512MB card this week and see what happens. I'll repost if I have any problems.

  • Canon a620 with Apple camera connector

    Hi
Is the Canon A620 compatible with the Apple iPod camera connector?
Its not listed in the supported camera list - thats only a subset. My existing camera isn't listed either , but that still works. Sooo, I'm wondering if the A620 works OK?
    Thanks

  • My apple camera connector comes up with an error "this accessorty is not supported.." on my iPhone 4 now that I have updated to iOS7, previously it worked fine.  Any suggestions?

I have an iPhone 4 and a camera card connector (bought from apple) which worked fine together, then I updated to iOS7 and now when I plug it in it says " This accessory is not supported by this iPhone."
Any suggestions on how to get my certified apple camera connector working with my iPhone again would be greatly appreciated.  I really wish I hadn't updated to iOS7....
    Thanks

You need to update iTunes to 11.1 on your PC

  • Will the Apple Camera Connector work with iPhone?

I have an Apple Camera Connector that I have been using with my iPod to store pictures on my iPod until returning home where I download them to my iMac. Will the connector work on iPhone?
My iPhone is on order, so there is no way for me to try it for myself.

Nope, it seems that for the most part, the only things that work are those that tapped into the audio exports. Anything that required the interface of the iPod to change or added a new menu item (including all mics, the FM Remote, etc) doesn't work.

  • Will Apple Camera Connector Kit Import .PDF files?

Will Apple Camera Connector Kit Import .PDF files? I need to import large (60MB plus) .PDF files created in Powerpoint to my iPad. They are too large to be practical for e-mail.

Open GoodReader on the iPad. Click on the wifi icon in the menu bar at the bottom of the app. A popup window will open up giving you your local URL. Open Safari on the desktop computer and place that URL in the address bar. A page will open up with directions on how to send a file. The file will be send over the wifi connection to your iPad.
To add a little... In Safari on the desktop computer. Select file to upload: Choose file--->Navigate to the file on your desktop computer---> Click on the Upload selected file button. There will be a red warning box in the popup window on the iPad. When that disappears the the transfer is complete. If you get a warning can't find page in Safari you don't have the wifi connection in Goodreader turned on. Just click on the wifi icon button in Goodreader to fix. You can bookmark the URl in Safari fir later use.

  • Apple Camera Connector

Can anyone offer advice on how to successfully view photos imported from camera (Casio Exilim 7.2) 1.0G memory card through the Apple camera connector to the ipod???? It seems like the photos transferred but when try to view them (by following the directions in manual) I cannot find them. I go to the main menu and choose Photos>Photo Import and then choose the roll but the manual says to then choose Browse but there is no Browse choice. I only get the choice to delete roll or cancel. Any ideas?

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem.

  • I pod doesnt' work with the camera connector and Canon EOS 20D!

    iPod Camera Connector: Supported Devices
The iPod Camera Connector requires a Fifth Generation iPod, iPod photo (also known as iPod with color display) and a supported camera or media reader. Other iPods, including iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod (Click Wheel), and iPod shuffle, are not supported with the iPod Camera Connector.
The iPod Camera Connector supports cameras with USB connectivity based on the following commonly used protocols:
    PTP
    Type 4 (or Normal)
    Mass Storage
For the complete list of supported cameras and media readers, see this webpage.
If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.x, you can use Image Capture to quickly verify what protocol your camera supports. To do this:
    Connect your camera.
    Open Image Capture.
Click Options and then click Device Options.
You can also check your camera's owner manual or the vendor's website to find out what protocols your camera supports. Also see "iPod Camera Connector: Choosing a photo importing protocol on a camera" for additional information.

  • Canon EOS 300d with iPod Camera Connector

    Hey folks,
I don't have a problem with this combination but just want to say, that it's working perfectly together! I've searched for a thread like this before but didn't found any, so I took my currage and bought the Camera Connector without being sure it will work with my Canon EOS 300d. Today I tested it and it works perfect from the first moment. Just plug into the iPod and the camera and it prompts directly the import screen on the iPod. Importing itself also works good, but due to the USB 1.1 port on the camera it's a little slow. There are time measurements on other threads dealing with the connector, but for me the time is secondary, aslong as I don't have to carry my PowerBook around to get the fotos from my camera. BTW: That's not faster!
So for all of you out there using a Canon EOS 300d don't hesitate to get the Camera Connector - with the latest firm- and software on your devices there should be no problem!

Is it possible to connect a Canon EOS 300D via iPod
camera connector to a 5th generation iPod?
The EOS 300D isn't listed in the compatibility list,
but i'm sure the camera supports the protocols.
    Any experiences?
    Thanks, Krycek
/edit: I recognized the thread before, but I like ro
    hear more experiences.
i, use it and works but is very slow....

  • Problem with ipod camera connector

i am trying to use the ipod camera connector. there are 3 recurring problems.
sometimes, the ipod says that there is no picture in the connected camera. in the apple support website, it says that i have to reconnect the camera connector but that does not help.
recently, altough all pictures are still on the ipod in the same files as before (i have checked by using the ipod as an external drive), the ipod said that all rolls were empty.
finally, when going on the "photos" part of the ipod, it sometimes does not even show the "import" menu and therefore does not allow viewing the existing pictures altough they are on the ipod.
    any help welcome

I have the same problem as you but after reading through all the posts I found this worked for me "Ipod reset (on hold, off of hold, press menu and centre buttons for 6 seconds) then after it has rebooted unplug then replug your camera connector (at this point it may well work but if you still get "Unsupported device" or no card inserted then power cycle your camera, a bit long winded but this is the only way I could get my Canon 20d to work!

  • Problems with iPad camera connector kit

I used the camera connector kit yesterday with my sd card and it worked fine. I have tried to use it again today and it comes up with Contents not available, cannot read the connected storage media. Any suggestions as to how to get it to work?

How are the photos getting onto the card, directly from the camera or are you copying them onto the card from your computer ? If you are copying them onto the card then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them.
If the card has come straight from the camera then try a reset of the iPad and see if the photos are then recognised : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • HT4101 Camera Connector problem

When I plug in the Camera Connector on my IPad 3,  I get an error message "This accessory not supported by IPad".  It is a genuine Apple Camera attachment purchased from Apple Store.  The SD card reader works great, so no problem with it.

Make sure the 30 pin dock connector on the USB adaptor isn't damaged or dirty, if that isn't the case, plug the camera in, and then the adaptor. If that doesn't seem to work the adaptor may be defective.

  • Camera connector problem

I have a Fujifilm F10 digital camera, iPod 4G with click wheel and camera connector. I have once successfully managed to transfer 6 photos from the camera to iPod with the connector. I just plugged them together and it did it automatically. I have now taken a lot more pictures and a few short videos. I tried the same again and it keeps saying "Card not inserted". I have checked the card is working in the camera and that all of the leads are tightly together. Any idea what the problem might be? Could it be due to the video clips?

  • IPhone not compatible with Apple camera adapter

FYI: I tried to use the little white Apple camera adapter with my Olympis and iPhone this morning. Got the "Accessory not compatible" message.

Does it say "Not Compatible with iPhone" or "Not Made for iPhone?" Because from what I understand, some accessories that come up as "Not Made for iPhone" will still work, they just haven't been designed to specifically work with the phone.
In any event, the phone may offer to put you into Airplane Mode to avoid any kind of wireless interference but that's just a precaution, and the adapter may still work.
My iHome comes up with a message that says it's "Not Made for iPhone" but it still works with the phone.

  • Canon HF200 with FCP - importing footage problems

I apologise first if this is a common problem but I have searched away with no avail. I cant get the footage off this Canon HF200 I have been given to use...
In the log and transfer window if I try to drag the mounted camera drive into the window (or any of the files within) I get the error:
"BDMV" contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.
If I try to add the mounted disk on the log and capture widow - it does not allow me to select the disk. I am using the HF200 plugged in as opposed to just the SDHC card...
    Any ideas? FCP 7

thanks for your response...what happened was when I went to add volume - then select the mounted Camera/Card I could click on the drive but then the selector would 'pop-off' and jump to another drive...strange behaviour
I switched SDHC cards in the camera and the other card I have - when I open Log and Transfer - simply crashes FCP. If I eject the disk and re-open FCP and Log and Transfer - it doesnt crash and I can scroll thru available volumes...
Having re-entered the first SDHC card - I can now open Log and capture and select the NO NAME volume - it very briefly thought about it (in the process box below) and then nothing happened and it didnt accept....
I just updated using software update also...
