I'm not sure what is wrong. I can't transfer picture or tether my camera to my laptop. When I connect the usb cable, camera says busy for few seconds then returns to normal. I installed latest EOS utility and DPP.

The term "server", while technically correct, is misleading. A print server takes the low-level protocol spoken by a printer and serves it over a higher-level protocol. For example, parallel printer port (a.k.a. Centronics or IEEE 1284) and serve it over USB. Or parallel or USB and serve it over Ethernet with a variety of printing protocols (lpr/lpd protocol, JetDirect protocol, port 9100 protocol, the names are confusing).
In reality, a print server looks nothing like what we usually associate with "server" (which is typically a biggish computer). Instead they usually look like adapter plugs or even adapter cables, or like a little network hub (just with printer connectors instead of network connectors).
Here are a few examples (I'll use Amazon as a guide book, without implying that I endorse them). Let's start with USB to parallel; it seems they tend to look like adapter cables. Then there are (really cheap) Ethernet to printer adapters. But they are cheap.

Both of those you put next to the printer, use your existing parallel printer cable, and connect them to the network. Don't get scared by the astronomical price of the HP; it's commonly available used.
There are even some wireless models around. In theory, you might be able to use a parallel-to-USB adapter cable and then plug the USB cable into your trusty Apple Airport (as a good Apple fanboy or fangirl you've bought an Airport, right?), but I don't know whether that will work. With the HP JetDirect box I'm quite certain that it will work (but it's old-fashioned, doesn't come in white, doesn't do wireless, and is not the slightest bit hip or cool).

Mac Air cant detect a logitec bluetoothspeaker. Iphone finds it and connects fast and easy.

What you definitely need to do, is not use the disk in question anymore. Deleted files' disk space is sometimes simply marked as "available to be reused". And you don't want to keep running this Mac on the same drive. So if these files are really precious, then physically remove the disk, put it in an USB drive enclosure and see if you can use some utility to recover them.
Buy a new disk to install in your Mac, and buy a Time Capsule to go along with it.

Motu 2408 mk3 won't connect with my mac.

I have set the audio in logic to PCI and have set the preferences on my mac to pci both audio in and out. I have the fire wire connected and the main outs to my moniters but no sound! It has been a year since I have set up my rig and probably have forgotten some stuff. The Motu unit itself is not registering the PCI on the led in the front so I think the problem is probably there. I have turned the mac on and offbut still no luck.

CD or DVD Sharing with new Mac Air on LION!

I was thinking that I would be able to put in audio CD I was going to be able to watch it. If I put a cd I get the following error: The operation can't be completed because the original item for "Audio CD" can't be found.
I also trie to play a DVD. With the DVD I am able to open the DVD and look into the files but it won't play the movie.
The Apple Genius stated that this is how the CD or DVD Sharing works. It was not intended for you to you to play an audio cd from another computer or watch a DVD from another computer.
Do you guys agree with this?

My iPod won't connect to my Mac... Help?

My iPod won't connect with my Mac anymore.
It connected last time I tried it (four months ago, about). It's a Gen Two or Three (I don't know the difference, sorry) and I haven't changed anything about my Mac since then, or my iTunes.
If you can help at all, please reply. And don't hesitate to ask for more info.
EDIT: Oh, and I've tried resetting the iPod, putting it in Disk Mode, using a different USB port and restarting the computer (several times).
The iPod says "Do Not Disconnect" and the iPod symbol appears on Finder and I am able to access it, but it won't appear in iTunes.

I was having the same problem--no iPod on Desktop, no iPod in iTunes. This fixed it for me, at least:
1. Open Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. (My iPod DID show up here, though it wasn't mounted.)
2. Select the iPod in the disk list on the left.
3. Click "Verify Disk." (In my case, this revealed an underlying error.)
4. Click "Repair Disk." (If this works, great--stop here. It didn't work for me...)
5. Click the "Erase" tab at the top of the right-hand main pane.
6. Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) for Volume Format.
7. Click "Erase" button at bottom right.
Almost immediately, my iPod showed up on my Desktop, iTunes launched, and it was as though I had completed a Restore of the iPod.

oke i'm not done with the whole thing, but i'm doing that right now. I've had a similar problem. On my first boot up after installing 10.7.4, Firefox would not open. Crashed every time. Safari was not affected. I have no idea if it was related to the flash plugin, but I did install a the latest version of that a couple of weeks ago.
Here's what fixed it: a second boot up.

Deskjet Advantage 3540 (Envy 4500): Computer won't connect with printer during software installation

I just bought this printer and I am trying to install it by using the HP installation CD but I am running into difficulties to complete the process. The problem is that the computer won't connect with the printer (but my printer connects fine with my Wi-Fi network) and installation does not complete.
The HP software installation process appears to go normally (at least no error messages are shown) but when it gets to the part where it asks me how I would like to connect to the printer (Wireless or USB cable) I get an error message when I select Wireless Mode. My printer appears listed but as soon as I select it, a dialog is shown stating that "network installation could not be performed".
Below are the dialogs and what happens (text is in portuguese but you get the idea)
Dialog 1: selecting wireless connection mode
Dialog 2: printer appears in list and I select it
Dialog 3: Error message is shown, no further details
Here are some more facts:
(1) Printer connect fines with my Wi-Fi network: the connection details are correctly shown in its display (Wi-Fi SSID and IP 192.168.0.6) ;
(2) If I go to a web browser in my computer and type in the IP address, I can access the printer's webpage fine;
(3) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling HP software;
(4) I've resetted my router;
(5) I've executed "HP Print and Scan Doctor" utility and it states my software hasn't been installed (which I don't understand) and it tries to download HP software and install one more time and I get to the error.
(6) If I go to "Start" menu, I can see the HP group is empty (installation only creates icons on my desktop). See picture below:
My OS is Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate (Service Pack 1)
EDIT: I've just discovered the inkjet Advantage 3540 and Envy 4500 appear to be the same printer, each target to a different market.
Help is much appreciated as I tried a lot of things to make this printer work wirelessly with my computer but without success.

After I installed CR 5.6 I can see MRaw files in Bridge CS4, but the files still do not open in PS element 8
Can anything be done to fix this?

CS4)\Fileformats". As it happens, the camera raw.plugin 5.6 was already
installed for CS4 but not for CS3, which I therefore proceeded to do. When I
tried to open a Canon 7D MRaw file in CS 4, PSE opened with the same error
message as before, i.e the file format was not recognized.
However, just for the fun of it I tired to open the same file from CS3 in
PSE 6 and it works! but with the warning that the ACR expires in Jan 2010, I

So, there is still something wrong with the CS4/PSE 8, but I think I like
PSE better so I am OK for now - although the irony is that the only reason I
bought PSE 8 was to be able to work on Canon 7D raw files.....

Turn off wifi. Use wireless signal. reenter password at settings. This should work. Turn wifi back on if you wish. Wait for next occurrence within hours or days. Have not found a permanent preventive solution. Thinking of replacing my four year old wireless router.

If the HDMI input to the Samsung is not compatible, does it have a VGA or composite input? I have both the HDMI and VGA adapters for the iPad, which work with the small Vizio HDTV I tried. I understand a composite video adapter is also available.
