Canon 7D Body Only on Backorder

The body only Canon 7D has been on backorder for some time. Is there any predication as to when it will be available?

There are some pro-level photography stores who have a decent supply of the 7D kit packages (body with kit lens), who are willing to sell the body only. You're not going to find that option with a large retailer like Best Buy, though.
If you are set on getting the 7D, and you don't want to wait, one option is to buy the kit and sell the lens that comes with it. It will be a higher net cost than buying the body alone, but I'm guessing the shortage will continue for quite sometime. Before new orders can be processed, existing backorders need to be processed. Also, I'm guessing that distribution priority by Canon (to retailers) will be influenced by sales volume of those retailers.
My 7D was stolen a few months ago. I replaced it in early March. I decided to purchase it from a reputable online pro dealer who offered to sell the body only. When I received the camera, it came in a kit box, with the kit lens removed. It was a new camera body, though - fully covered by Canon U.S.A. warranty.
BTW - I LOVE my 7D! I've been using one since I got my first one in Nov 2009 and it's been an AMAZING camera. It is definitely worth the wait!

How to display current navigation on "Body only" page layout

I create a new page and applied "Body only" page layout which is basically PageFromDocLayout.aspx
But it doesn't show current navigation. How do I show current navigation on left side of the page? I have the code which will display current navigation but I don't know where to paste it inside page layout because there doesn't seem to be any space for that.
Or is it something that I can enable disable from somewhere?

There is no QuickLaunch snippet. There is one by the name of "Vertical Navigation" which I think is QuickLaunch snippet so I copied its code in PlaceHolderMain section inside page layout but getting error:
ContentPlaceHolder can only be used in .master files.

Ok I managed to do it by adding Vertical Navigation inside a separate <td> in my master page and then I only display it when page is not home page. So the is something like:

Just got a Canon G7 x only to find that lightroom 5 and PS6 don't support the camera RAW that it produces. Tried the Camera raw 8.7 and that didn't help. Will there be an update that includes this camera?

I'm sure there will be support for the camera eventually. But Adobe never announces that information in advance. It's possible that it could be added to the 8.7 final release and to the next update of Lightroom. But that depends on the timeline and if the engineers were able to get the camera in time to create profiles. You'll just have to wait and see.

Canon Pixma M860 only prints partial pages

Thanks in advance for your assistance. I had to take my computer in because of several stalling issues, and had to unhook my printer to do so. It was working fine then. When I plugged it back in, the printer won't work properly; it only prints partial pages. I checked the ink supplies, and they are fine. I cleaned the heads, they too are fine. I tried to open the Solution Menu, but it comes up blank. Can you help? I'd sure appreciate it!

Question: after this, how will I know where to go to add my printer queue again? I'm sorry, I don't quite know where/how to do this? Do you mean I just try to print some things again?
I need you to add the printer queue again by opening Print & Fax and clicking the + button under the now empty Printers list. If the printer is connected to the Mac via USB cable then you can select the Default icon and then select the MX860 in the list. This should automatically change the Print Using menu to 'Canon MX860 series'. You can then click Add to complete the printer queue creation.
If the printer is wireless instead of USB then please let me know as the procedure is a bit different to the above.
Also, you mentioned that the Solutions Menu isn't really needed. I had just hoped the troubleshooting button it is supposed to have could be of some use in repairing my printer, but it doesn't sound like it from what you say here? If not, that's okay. Just wondering.
To be honest I've never installed the Solution Menu so I cannot comment on how well the troubleshooting information is. Since I feel I know more than these guides ever provide then I've never felt the need to use them. For you it could be handy but having read other Canon guides I feel that they can confuse the user more than help them...
They just did the Repair Disk thing and it was better for oh, about a minute. I realize that's not the issue we are discussing; I just mentioned it to let you know I'm responding as quick as I'm able, and just in case you think Safari's weirdness might be affecting the printer somehow.
At this stage I would say that Safari is not the problem but the sluggish operation you are noticing when using it could be an indication that something is using resources on your Mac and this could also be impacting the printing. In this situation I would suggest a Mac user to check the Activity Monitor. This will show you every little background service that is currently running on your Mac and one or more of these services could be the culprit. An example would be the previous printer software. With older drivers many vendors install services with their drivers to provide users with information, such as ink status, because the then current OS did not provide them. This is fine when you have that printer connected but when it is removed and you use a different printer, especially from a different vendor, then these services can cause performance issues for the new printer.

Can I print on a Canon MP480 using only a black ink cartridge?

Hi BKJen, Both ink cartridges are required to be installed in the printer in order to print, even if one of the ink cartridges are low or out of ink. If you are receiving a low/out of ink warning and need to continue printing, you can disable the ink level detection function of the printer by pressing and holding down the Stop/Reset or Resume/Cancel button on the printer for at least 5 seconds, then releasing it. Once the low/out of ink cartridge is replaced with a Canon genuine ink cartridge, the ink level detection function of the printer will be re-enabled. You can also set the printer to print using only the black ink cartridge from within the printer driver on your computer. If you would like instruction for doing this, please reply with what operating system is on your computer (version of Windows or Mac OS X), and we'll be happy to assist you.

HT3771 how can i get my canon mg2100 to only print in grayscale/black i have an mac os x10.6.8

I have a canon mg2100 i want to have it print in only grayscale for somethings. However, there is no place I can find to select this option.
It is connected to my mac desktop with an os x 10.6.8 operating system. How can I fix this?

The only way I know is to have yor doc ready to print, command P, then when the printer window comes up, select >presets>fast plane paper black and white. Hope this helps.

Can't see email body only subject line

Can not view email body on my I pad, only subject line.

Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logou appears and let go of the button.
If that didn't work, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Canon Borderless problem, only me?

I've 3 Canon printers, s200x, ip1500, ip2600....
but i have NEVER been able to print "borderless"....
Canon says it IS possible... so my question is, is it only me? is it a bug?
I choose 'US letter borderless' size... or photo paper (canon's) borderless.... but it does never print borderless...
any advice or help will be appreciated....

Canon selphy CP510 only prints the left side of the page

can anyone help me figure out the problem? It printed fine last time I used it. Today I plugged it in and only the left side of hte page prints. I inserted a new print cartridge and same problem.

Junk characters in email body only for specific user IDs

While sending mail from SAP I am using
        SENDER = CL_SAPUSER_BCS=>CREATE( LV_SENDER_ADD ).
        CALL METHOD SEND_REQUEST->SET_SENDER
          EXPORTING
            I_SENDER = SENDER.
now while using 'User1' and 'User2' in LV_SENDER_ADD give a perfect result.
But while using 'User3' and 'User4' in LV_SENDER_ADD sends Junk chars in the email body

all the above four user have SAP_ALL authorization.

Checking the Type CMOD says that they are call to 'C' routine 'kernal calls'
the above code is executed withe the user id of user1 2 3 4 and all of them give the same results.

Have looked at all the discussions around log and transfer, but am confused as to why many go through brilliantly, but about a third have an 'error unkown!' sign. Why sould some go through and others not? What can I do about this?
Any suggestion welcome

I haven't run into this problem with this format. Do you mean that typically a third of tthe Log &Transfers fail or that a third of the clips in an L&T typically fail to import?

It looks like the Canon 5D Mark III body only is currently selling for $3,399.99. I do have to agree with xl that you should contact stores in the Orlando area to see if they have this camera in stock. I do see that some stores in this district could have the camera in stock.

My canon printer only prints in green.

My canon pixma mx922 only prints in green, yellow, and sometimes cyan. My theory is that the problem is caused by the ink not being made by canon (it is cheap ink), because te printer did this as soon as all but one ink type, black was not made by canon, the print doesn't print anything but green, yellow, and cyan, and confuses red for yellow. Does anyone know what to do?

I guess I would recommend replacing all inks with genuine Canon and run one or more deep cleaning until the test prints look right.
