Canon C7055 Delete Secure Print Job

Hi All,
I have an issue with a Canon C7055 in my company.
Last week we have "configured" Secure printing on every printer in the company.
Secure printing is working fine but as a normal user I can delete print jobs.
Could someone explain why this is possible?
I thought only an administrator could delete secure print jobs without password.
Is this a setting I can adjust?
Thank you in advance.
Jelle

I figured it out! I'm not sure if it will work for you but it did for me.
I went to the Canon website and then went to the support section. I then selected the Canon i960 Printer and attempted to download the most up to date printer driver. However, I had a problem. When I tried to click on the drop-down menu to select my OS the website wouldn't let me do it........I was running Safari on Leopard at the time.
I opened up FireFox and did the exact same thing hoping it was just a "Safari issue" but once again I couldn't click on the drop-down menu and get anything to show up. I did notice, however, that the drop-down box was highlighted. Once I had clicked on the drop-down menu I then hit the "M" button on my keyboard and it made the drop-down menu toggle between OS 9 and OS X. I selected OS X and then hit return. I then noticed that all of the driver information was listed below. I was able to click on the link to the driver (which appears to be pretty new......I think it said 11/7/07) and download it. Once I downloaded it, I then installed it and re-started my computer. Once my computer was restarted I went to my System Preferences and "added" my Canon i960 to my printer list (after I restarted my computer I made sure to turn on my printer before going into System Preferences). Once the printer was added I am now able to print without any problems at all!
Once I got past the hurdle of downloading the driver everything was pretty slick. I hope this helps cuz I know I was going nuts trying to figure this out.

  • Deleting all print jobs on a computer with network accounts

In a school environment, we are using a network server with individual student accounts. Is there a way to delete all print jobs for all users on a given computer? I can reset print system and it only clears the print jobs for that single user.

System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
    Click: Open Print Queue
You should be able to delete print jobs from there.

  • Deleting Completed Print Jobs in Mac OS X 10.8 ?

How can the job list of completed print jobs be deleted ?
The job list fills up with lots of completed and canceled (a 10.7./10.8 bug) jobs and many jobs are added multiple times after a time in the list untill closed and reopened again.
This makes it nearly impossible to find a specific job.
    Thanks.

This isn't really a good solution, but the only way I found was to delete and re-add the printer. I didn't see anything obvious in the prefs files. Maybe send feedback to Apple about this?

  • Print file deletes before print job is finished

I have been trying to print a file about 119 pages it has some color graphics and some photos within the text from adobe it printed about 25 pages good then it stopped and deleted the file I have tried to print 1 page at a time some print and some just print the first few lines of text then a blank page comes out and then it prints the same text on another page and the file is deleted no error messages of any kind I have tried shutting down the printer and restarting it . I have also done the print and scan dr from HP and it found nothing the text page printed fine. If I open the printer box I can see it spool the file it starts to print and the above happens and then I see it deleting the file. I am also printing wireless from my home network. I hope this give you enough information. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @ssward4,
Do large print jobs from other programs produce the same result? What happens when you print a smaller job from Adobe? I understand you have already run the HP Print and Scan Doctor but the issue remains, and you have checked the spooler.

  • Deleting Completed Print Jobs in Mac OS X 10.5

    Hello All,
On both my HP Officejet 7410 and Xerox Phaser 6200, after printing I am unable to delete the completed jobs from the Print Queue. The Delete functions are available, they just do not seem to work. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

It would be easier to open up a Terminal and use lpq to show jobs and lprm to remove the jobs.
Something is wrong here. Completed jobs should not be in the queue and do not need to be deleted. I would be taking a look at the printer error log. Use Console.app or open up a Terminal and look at /var/log/cups/error_log.
Most MacIntosh users don't need and shouldn't use Terminal or type a command line instruction to do anything. If they did, they would go back to Windows, or why not just use some flavor of Linux for free? Terminal is there for those that want it, but none of my clients use a Mac because of it's Unix core.
Just about every command for Cups is available from the browser of choice. The error logs: http://localhost:631/admin/log/error_log
No typo's or Sudo's, easy to understand and demonstrate over the phone. The html interface is fairly simple and seems to be pretty powerful.
Want to play with the print server settings and be able to reset to the default with a click? http://localhost:631/admin?op=config-server
lpq shows my Laser printer on it's IP number, but it doesn't show my epson inkjet on my Airport Express print server. lprm only shows there are no active jobs on my laser (but not my inkjet), and doesn't show the completed jobs. I'm sure there are more alphabet commands I can run, but I just want to get the work done. Both of my printers do show up in Cups and I can work with both of them.
Bookmark Cups and all of the terminal commands for all the reports, settings and preferences are clearly presented.

Hi @TJBar, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you're looking into how to cancel your print jobs.  I would like to assist.
When printing, on the front panel of your printer you will see a large red 'X'.  This will allow you to cancel any print jobs by touching the X.
Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • I can't delete or cancel a print job

I sent a photograph to print on my HP Photosmart B209-am printer.  When I waited over an hour for it to print and nothing happened I tried to delete it.  The status has said "deleting" for several hours.  I have run task manager to cancel, I have rebooted my Windows 7 64bit PC, and restarted the printer.  Nothing will delete the print job.  What can I do next?  I can't print anything else until this is resolved.  Thank you!

    Hi,
From the control panel, open administrative tools and select sevices.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it, select Properties and then click on the stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder.  Reboot the computer and you should be ok.
You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
    Hope this helps,

  • Print job deleted

I had a print job that was 42 pgs.  My battery on lap top died and it went into hibernation.  I plugged in my laptop and tried to continue printing.  It wouldn't work so I deleted the print job to start all over again.  It is still deleting after 4 hours.  I can't get it to do any printing while it is deleting.

Reboot your computer. That should reset your print job.

  • HP Laserjet 2100m endless printing with no print job loaded

I sent a print job to the wrong printer. Then I deleted that print job and re-send the print job to the HP Laserjet 2100m. It prints a line of garbage at the top of the page and feeds it through, then it continues doing that endlessly. I've even rebooted the PC, but whenever I turn on the printer it continunes just as before. There isn't even a print job in the que. What can I do to fix this? Thanks.

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • How do I purge print jobs on an officejet 4215 using windows 7 64 bit OS?

The all-in-one officejet 4215 will not print a print job nor will it delete the print job from the queue. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled, unpluged and disconnected from the network and nothing works.

    Hi,
Please clarify your meaning "reinstalled" the printer - The driver for your printer already included within Windows7, any software you may use is not intended to Windows7.
May the stuck print job being printed upon restarting the PC?
If so, i would recomment you to try and disable the USB Ports power Management. It may cause connectivity issues with the LIDIL printing language being used by your printer:
    Right click on Computer.
    Click Manage.
Open the Device Manager from the left pane.
Locate the Universal Serial Bus Controller category, double click to expend it.
Locate the first USB Root Hub
Double click it, then click the Power Management tab.
Clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
    Click OK.
Repeat steps 6 through 8 for each USB Root Hub listed in the Device Manager.
Now follow and check for any improvement.
Please let me know of any progress,

  • Print Job remains in queue even though it prints OK?

    Hello All,
I am trying to help a friend of mine setup wireless printing from her Macbook. Unfortunately I don’t know very much about Macs and OSX but I am a quick learner
    The setup:
Virgin Media Cable Modem -> connected (RJ45) to a Wireless Linksys Cable Modem -> connected (RJ45) to a Belkin USB Hub.
From the USB hub I have two printers connected:
    1 x HP Deskjet
    1 x Samsung ML-2240 Laserjet
Both these printers install to the Macbook perfectly as default USB devices (wirelessly) via the USB Hub. They also appear correctly in the Belkin USB Hub software console.
The HP printer works perfectly every time it is used, no issues whatsoever. The Samsung printer prints ok the first time but the print jobs do not disappear from the print queue on the Macbook, the print job doesn’t appear to complete even though it has actually printed without any issue.
The problem this causes is that after the first print job has been printed it is not possible to print again. Even if I delete the print job from the queue manually I cannot still not print a second time. The only way I can get the printer to print again is to unplug and then plug back in the USB cable that is connected to the USB Hub. When I unplug the cable the print job disappears from the queue on the Macbook. I can then reconnect the USB cable and connect to the printer and it will print again.
I have made sure that I have the latest firmware on the Macbook which is running 10.5.* OSX. I have also installed the latest Firmware and Drivers on the Samsung Printer and the USB Hub.
Is there a different way to setup the print queue that you think may help? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I spent 5 hours on this yesterday and it still isn’t working
    Thanks
    M

It should bring up the Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) 1.3.11 manual if you're running 10.5.8 (hint; 10.5 is meaningless). Since it doesn't, I suggest doing an Archive & Install installation, followed by running Software Update.

  • Cannot Delete Adobe Printer

On Vista Ultimate x64 machine, I cannot delete the Adobe printer.
Adobe Professional 8.1.2 - I uninstalled it, since it was unable to convert anything into PDF.
There is a job stalled in the print spooler that cannot be deleted, no matter what.
I've tried stopping the spooler service, but then I cannot an error message that I can't delete the printer, until that service is running again.
When I run the spooler service, I get an error message that says I can't delete the printer or its drivers, because the print job is still running.
I cannot seem to delete the print job.
My aim is to delete the printer, then reinstall Adobe, in the hopes it will again convert to PDF.
    Any suggestions?
. . . you pay hundreds of dollars and the software won't work. Am I actually one of the few people attempting to run Abobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 on a Vista x64 machine?

I was, at last, able to delete the printer. Then, I uninstalled Adobe Pro. A couple of days later, I reinstalled it. Upgraded to 8.1.2. When I ran a couple of documents through, I found that it would only convert to PDF if I used the Acrobat PDFMaker toolbar.
Unfortunately, I also tried to convert using the printer. Now I've once again got documents stuck in the printer. They won't complete, won't end, won't delete.
8.1.2 doesn't work entirely for me. Woe be it to someone who attempts to convert by selecting the Adobe printer; they might find they've got documents stuck, as do I.
Any suggestions as to how to delete those documents that are stuck? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Adobe everytime this happens?
CutePDF is looking more attractive, for converting to PDF. . .
With all this grief, I'm now supposed to upgrade to Adobe 9?!
Oh, and I am running Vista Ultimate x64 SP1.

  • Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue

This has been going on for way too long.  It's been happening with Windows 7. It happens with HP Laser jet 500 Pro color Printer.
Print jobs won't print; but, when you try to delete the print job, it just stays there.    Cancel
    does nothing.  Delete
    does nothing.    Stopping
the spool via services does nothing. Powering
off the printer then re-powering does nothing.  Rebooting
does nothing.    After everything...still...."1 document pending".   It won't go away.  The only way to fix it is to
delete the printer and re-install.   This is getting really flipping' old!
I have tried print spooler services stop and start. after that its works but some printing
its stuck again. very fedup about it.  i am using Microsoft windows original software. please help me out on it.

  • Print jobs hung up in print queue and blocks further printing

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A and an IMAC running OS10.9.5.  Whenever I print something, it (if it is the only print job) prints; however, it doesn't get deleted from the queu.  Therefore, all subsequent print jobs get held up in the queue and I have to go in and manually delete the completed job so the others can print.  If more than one job in the print queue, I have to continually go in and delete each printed job.
    Any ideas/help would be appreciated.
