"canon mp navigator ex has stopped working" cannot get this to work - fresh install on windows 8.1
Trying to get LiDE 110 scanner working on my laptop. I keep getting this message once scan is complete "canon mp navigator ex has stopped working" and then a corrupted pdf is saved - fresh install on windows 8.1 I have used most up to date drivers and software and tried these two "fixes" from an internet search on this topic (it seems to be a common problem that hasn't been addressed by Canon) - I'm on the verge of returning the scanner!! 1) Delete this file: C:\Users\<user name>\App Data\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Network Shortcuts\My Web Sites on MSN. RESULT - "My Web Sites on MSN" does not exist in that folder on my computer. 2)Remove "sdc330Twain.ds" from windows Twain-32 folder RESULT - didn't have any effect Thank you, in anticipation!
Currently running the scanner on "Advanced scan to pdf" but would like to have access to the canon software with more options

See for yourself which version of ACR is needed for that camera’s RAW files

then check your version (Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw).
Your version of Photoshop does not support that version of ACR.
You could use the free DNG Converter. -

The error you are experiencing may be related to the user account you are currently using. Please try using the MP Navigator in a different user account or create a new account for testing purposes. Perform the following to create a new administrative account:
1. Click Start and open the Control Panel.
2. Under User Accounts, select 'Add or Remove User accounts'.
3. In the Manage Accounts window, select 'Create a new account' at the bottom.
4. Create a name for the account, then select 'Administrator' and click 'Create Account' at the bottom.
5. The new account should be visible in the Manage Accounts screen.
Once this process is complete, close all windows or programs. Then log out of the current account using the Log Out option from the start menu, then log in to the new account. Once logged in, attempt to scan from the MP Navigator on the new account.

I have an old IPad 2 and a new IPad. They are both registered to my name . I would like to leave the old one at home with my husband and call him on FaceTime when I travel. I have tried this at home with the two iPads and cannot seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

You'll want to have your husband sign up on the older iPad with his own Apple ID. First, on the old iPad, sign out of your Apple ID:
To sign out of your Apple ID
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, and select Sign Out.
Then, sign in with the other Apple ID, and that should work. If it doesn't work after having separate Apple IDs on each iPad, check out the following document where, towards the bottom, there is a "Troubleshooting FaceTime calls" section:

No.Then generic format string tags like %I or %G aren't going to work. Those are there for use with certain source control systems or IDEs.
When you do a get from the source repository (depending on the source control system), the repository will automatically replace those tokens with the correct version number based on the "labels" or "tags" that certain versions of your code have been marked with.
%I and %G from what I found on google appear to be information tags for SCCS.
The "-version" argument to javadoc merely tells it to include your @version comments in its output which is disabled by default. It won' automatically generate your version information for you.
If you aren't using source control, you'll have to go through each file and put real version numbers in place of %I% and %G%. -
This update does not work. The software update shows 1 update but the iOS 7.0 does not allow download and install. It is gray.
Try a full power down reset and reboot.
Also, make sure you have WiFi enabled and are
connected to a WiFi network. iOS upgrades are
not supported over a cellular connection. -
Cannot Get Acrobat X .MSI to Install Through Windows MDT
Hello All,
I am attempting to install Acrobat X using AAMEE. I've created my standalone package and give the command "msiexec.exe /i Acrobat.msi /quiet" (without quotes). I add the application with source files pointing to the build folder, nothing installs. When I take the full folder that is created through AAMEE I am met with the error "1619".
However, in the guide it says point the install to the "Build" folder and not the whole folder. So why is nothing installing? No error or anything, it just completely skips over this. I have two applications under the "Adobe" section. All my other applications install fine. Chrome, Firefox, Flash but not Acrobat X. Just like it doesn't exist at all.
My other applications have this command line instead: "msiexec /i APPLICATIONNAME.MSI /qn /norestart" I don't include the ".exe" part but I have tried and no luck. This has nothing to do with MDT or WDS, as I remake and refresh all my boot images, so the file is there but I don't get why it won't at least give me an error.Hi Abhijit Kr,

Unfortunately, this did not work. When I create the package I end up with a folder which I title "Acrobat X" which now includes both Acrobat X and Photoshop as per your instructions. Under this folder I have "Build" and "Exceptions" along with a "AcrobatX.aamee" file.
Now you asked me to point directly to the 'Exceptions' folder. I did this but the install did not go through. When I point to the Exceptions folder it ignores every other folder outside of it. I noticed there is a "Build" folder as well, am I also ignoring that?
I noticed in the AAMEE guide the guide says to navigate to the "Build" folder and install the "Standalone.msi" package with the command "msiexec.exe /i 'filename.msi' /quiet".
So I basically have two seperate instructions telling me to point to two completely different folders and two completely different folders so I'm completely confused. I'd assume every file is crucial in this process no?
I'm also rather confused, for all my programs all my other .msi files work fine. Why doesn't AAMEE just create one .MSI file I can import? What's up with all these little extra files and folders hanging around?

Cannot get handoff to work in iOS 8
II'm tying to Get handoff to work on my phone to my iPad and back it seems to work from ipad to phone sometimes but never consistently but not from phone to email I have everything enabled on both devices but cannot get this to work. I can get phone calls on iPad and texts but only from people with an iPhone i need a step by step of how to get this working like if I start an email on my phone and want to finish on my iPad.
What generation of iPad do you have? Total compatibility is only available on iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, and iPad Mini.

I tried to configure 2 windows users accounts using a single library per the instructions in HT1203. My iTunes library is on an external drive. I cannot get this to work. Any suggestions?
To give other users read-only access to your iTunes library, use the Sharing features of iTunes. Sharing works over the local network as well as on the same computer. See the built-in help for details.

My Canon Pixma iP8500 printer has stopped working with Mavericks
Hi, my Canon Pixma iP8500 printer has stopped working in the past few days and I made no alterations that could explain why this might happen. I am using OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks on a Mac Pro desktop computer. I can print a test page when selecting it on my Canon Printer Utility from my desktop so it seems that there is contact between the computer and the printer but it will not print from iPhoto, Preview or Mail. When I select Print from any of these nothing happens and there is nothing on the Print List. I have checked the Printers & Scanners in my System Preferences and my Canon iP8500 is listed and highlighted as Idle Default and Share this printer is ticked. I have tried deleting this printer then adding it but it still will not print. I would appreciate any helpful suggestions bearing in mind that I am fairly elderly and have a limited knowledge of IT and some of the terminology.

Oaky, at least we got that far. Next step is to determine if all those "numbers" are really numbers. Changing the format to "number" doesn't necessarily change the string to a number. The string has to be in the form of a number. Some may appear to you and me as numbers but will not turn into "numbers" when you change the formatting from Text to Number. Unless you've manually formatted the cells to be right justified, one way to tell if it is text or a number is the justification. Text will be justified to the left, numbers will be justified to the right.
