  • Canon IP7250 - Color won't print - Please help

I have a Canon IP7250, two day ago, my printer showed me error C000. I resolved this error, but now my printer won't printing in colour. Black working properly. I tried many times to cleaning a toner in mainteace. When I go to "print head alignment" then shows error 2500. ? In nozzle check black colour is excellent but no other colors on paper.
    Please, help me.
    Thanks.

Again, the username/password, would either be your logon username/password or your "root" username/password if you have enabled it.
Another option would be to update your CUPS software. Multi-functional printers are usually "tricky" to get full-featured drivers for. It's possible that a newer version for this particular printer may exist with an update.
Still another option (and possibly a better one) would be to download and install the latest Gutenprint printer drivers. These were formally known as Gimp-Print drivers. (ref: http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3)

  • Canon Selphy CP730 won't print anymore

After installing the latest iPhoto (7.0.2) my Canon Selphy CP730 Compact Photo Printer won't print photo's from iPhoto anymore. The light on the printer blinks for a second, goes red and then back to green, while an icon in the Dock shows the CP730 with a red exclamation mark.
The strange thing is that I can print from all my other applications to this device. And with the previous iPhoto there where no problems either. I already reinstalled the drivers for the CP730, without succes.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Michel

    Michel:
Try deleting the various printing pref files. One would be located in the User/Library/Preferences/ByHost folder. It would look something like this: com.apple.print.Cache.0016cb3791b6.plist (number will be different). Also com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist and any obvious Canon prefs for the printer. There will be a lot of other Canon prefs but look of any that are obviously linked to the printer. You may not fine any, however.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Canon iRC3080-J1 – won't print

We have a Canon iRC3080-J1 printer networked andused by about 20 users. It's not shared through a server but working as a "standalone" printer.
This far it has been workin ok, but a a couple of weeks ago it just stopped working from my workstation. No one else has problems with printing (all workstations are MacPros with 10.6 so thery're quite similarly configured) but when I try to print, I get the message telling that the printer driver has been installed incorrectly and it should be installed again or I should ask help from the manufacturer.
So I've reinstalled the driver several times, no help. I've called Canon; they told me to reinstall the driver and if it won't work then I should do a clean install of OS X. So no help - I won't reinstall the OS, all the programs and configure the machine; I suppose that if I use time machine or migration assistant, the problem comes along with the restored data.
So any ideas how to get the printer working without a clean OS install and manual data and setting restoration?

There was no official driver for Snow Leopard for the imagePASS-J1. So the procedure for 10.6 is to download and install the J1 driver for 10.5 and then to run the Snow Leopard update.
From reading the post it sounds like the update has failed - that message is typical for the 10.5 driver on 10.6. So you could look at applying the 10.6 update again.
If that doesn't help then I suggest you delete the existing printer in Print & Fax and then trash the PS3 folder in HD > Library > Printers > Canon. Then you can install the J1 driver again followed by the 10.6 update.
Also, just to check that the printing system is not the cause, on your Mac you can create another print queue to the Canon but this time using Generic Postscript in the Print Using menu. If this prints then it does point more at it being a driver issue rather than an internal print system error.

  • Epson Stylus Photo 700 won't print in OS 9.2

    HI,
I got my usb to parallel adapter to work with my Stylus Photo 700 on my Blueberry with OS 10.3.9 and usbtb and gimp=Print. I have been trying to figure out how to get it to work in the classic environment-9.2.2. The Epson window comes up and Ii have access to utilities there but the "*printer is not available*"
Any ideas how to overcome that little problem?
    Thanks,
    Warren McNeely

    If this article doesn't work:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300849
Then you need a Mac OS 9 version of both the printer driver and the USB to Parallel adapter. Unfortunately the company that makes the older version of the driver has a website domain that no longer works if Keyspan's drivers don't work. That company was Strydent, and their driver was called Powerprint. You may want to toss that printer and get one known to work in the Classic environment. Only Canon has on their support pages listings of printers that do work in the Classic environment. You may find more info that is relevant on my FAQ*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/printersx.html
You may be able to find someone whos still has Strydent's software, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

  • Black Ink won't print & "Ink System Failure"

I have a 3 year old HP Photosmart Plus e-ALL-IN-ONE B210, Product # CN217A.  I was doing a lot of printing yesterday, noticing that I was getting low on Black ink.  Then I got a very light page and changed the black ink cartridge.  I installed it and....nothing!  I cleaned the print heads...nothing.  Thinking I had a bad cartridge, I went to the store and exchanged it.  Again, nothing.  So following direction's on HP's website, I removed the print head and gently wiped it off.  I placed it back, following directions, reinserted the ink cartridges and now I get the "Ink System Failure."  I also cannot align the print cartridges, either.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As it's 3yrs old, it's likely out of warranty (typically warranty is a year from purchase date). It might be worth soaking the printhead as described by @Bob_Headrick below....
    1) Get a pan and put 1/2" of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
    2) Next remove all the ink cartridges, then remove the printhead assembly.
    3) Gently put the printhead nozzles down in the water and let it soak for five minutes.
    4) Remove the printhead and gently dry the electrical contacts.
    5) Put the printhead back in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.
Please let us know if this works

  • Canon Pixma 8120 won't print after new hard drive + TC install

I have a great Pixma 8120 which was previously successfully networked wirelessly to an intel imac SL 10.6.8 and
a Macbook Pro running Lion.  Our internet connection is Fios via router and the imac had been connected via
    ethernet to the Fios router.
Last week, the imac's hard drive needed to be replaced - Apple Geniuses
installed the new hard drive at the apple store and restored all of the data.   I bought a new Time Capsule
and backed up the new hard drive as soon as I got it home (yes I got religion).
I now have the TC connected via ethernet
to the router and set up a new network -- connected both the imac and the macbook  via airport no problem.  Nice
    fast internet (safari).
The problem is the Canon printer.  I configured the printer to recognize the new network over the TC and was able to
connect it via wi-fi to the access point.  When printing however, the printer icon pops up in the dock and looks like its starting
to process the job but then the job disappears fromt the print queue screen.  poof.  nothing.
I  suspect I may have a problem with the TC's security settings not being compatible with the canon - the canon manual does say something about the canon not supporting "enterprise" and I did see that in the TC settings.
I have a huge work project due tomorrow so I decided to forego the wireless thing for now and just hook the printer up
via USB to the imac.  I reinstalled the Canon software following the all directions for when to plug in the USB in the process.
It didn't work.  Then  I went to the Canon support page and downloaded/installed  an updated driver. Now I have
a nice new looking printer icon but when I try to print it starts and then gives me a "communication error has occured"
    message -- error 306.
Does anyone have advice for me?

Never mind.  I realized that I needed to ethernet the imac to the TC.
I just got the Canon to print. Sorry to bother.

    Hello,
Please visit the following website, click "Software," and download the "My Image Garden" software.  This should allow your printer to be able to print onto CDs.

  • IPhoto won't print - where are themes? but this is really annoying.

    What does this mean?
"There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable."
I have always been able to print. I hate Events, but this is really annoying.
    Thanks

    Dean:
Look in your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder to see if there's a folder titled Themes in there. If so move it to the HD/Library/iPhoto folder and reboot. If that doesn't get iPhoto back up and printing as it should you'll have to reinstall as follows:
    Restoring iPhoto Themes
1 - delete the current application.
2 - delete any files with iPhoto in the file name that reside in your HD/Library/Receipts folder.
3 - delete any Themes folder from your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder.
4 - delete any Themes folder from your HD/Library/iPhoto folder.
5 - boot into the system disk that came with your computer or use the iLife 08 disk and do a custom install selecting only iPhoto.
If you have problems with a custom install from your system install disk you can use Pacifistto locate, extract and install iPhoto from the disk.
After installing reinstall the iPhoto 7.1.1 updater again followed by a repair of disk permissions with Disk Utility. Also make sure you're running the latest Quicktime, 7.3.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Black only error message when all inks are full

My printer ran out of a color some time ago and popped up the black only message box. I have since replaced all of the colored inks and it still gives me the black only message when I go to print and says I need to replace magenta. I just replaced it! My printer is the photosmart C6280. Thank you

    Hello Sudharshan,
"Status can only be set when all originals are stored" Also I see that the model is not having Status in CAD VIEW.
This is error is indicating that your original CAD model is not checked in and as per your configuration you require the original to be checked in before moving to next status.
    Please:
    1. Check your document status network.
    2. ensure that you have proper set up for the fields "check in" in the current status. This indicator should be set. This ensures that the document is automatically checked in before moving to the next status. This will solve your problem.
When I double click on that object in CAD VIEW, it takes me to DIR creation screen with Document Type DES. Can someone help me in this ?
Because of the above set up missing the original DIR is missing the original document and hence the system assumes you are creating a new DIR when you click on the object in CAD view.
    regards,
    N K

  • Canon i80 won't print

Having a problem with Canon i80 which won't print. The document goes to the que but does not print. Any suggestions?

    Hi tunanut1,
Removing and reinstalling the printer on your computer may resolve the issue you are experiencing.  You can also try removing the USB cable from the printer and the computer and then reconnecting the cable to both devices to ensure that the connections are secure, or try using a different USB cable if you have one available.

  • Acrobat Standard Won't print first 1/2 page of scanned document

I have a previously unseen problem.  I've had the program for a few years, but now it won't print the top half of the first page of a scanned document (some of them).  I tried to print something I scanned a few weeks ago, and it works fine.  That one's also in color.  The ones that won't print fully are black and white.  Any ideas?

You're going to think this is impossible, but the problem only seems to occur with a couple of particular documents I was scanning.  I tried deleting the file, rescanning and resaving, then printing with the same 1/2 page result.  I tried scanning, saving, and printing a couple of sample documents (thinking I would send one of these to you), and there was no problem!  After multiple attempts with the problem document, I fed it through the document feder backwards, and then it scanned, saved, and printed with no problem.
I'm using a Brother MFC-J6710DW printer, Windows XP Pro, Acrobat Standard 7.0.  I've actually tried to update Acrobat, without success for some reason.  The actual problem document is too sensitive for me to send out.  I'd like to hear ideas, in case this repeats.
    Thank you.

  • Printer not producing image despite ink being full

I am having trouble with my printer. although it is working it only prints very faintly - and in colour only the yellow. it tells me the inks are full and in fact ive not had this long so shouldnt think it needs new cartridges as y et. its an hp deskjet  wireless model 3050A J611
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS

    Hello-
If you are using the cartridges that came with unit, they might be empty. Try to print a "printer status page" from the printer. This give more exact ink levels.
Also, remember a click on the Kudos star to the left is a quick "Thanks" for a helpful post.

  • My canon 5320 has ink but won't print on mac os 10.7.5

my canon 5320 has ink but won't print on mac os 10.7.5

    Hi olschoolmike_1,
To try and resolve the issue, you will want to confirm that the inkjet nozzles are dispensing the ink correctly by printing a nozzle check pattern from the printer.  If the pattern does not print correctly, we recommend performing at least one cleaning and two deep cleanings on the printer to try and get the ink to print..  To print the nozzle check pattern and perform the cleanings, please follow the steps located here.  If you still experience difficulty after performing the cleanings, please call or email us using one of the methods on the Contact Us page for further assistance.
