Canon MX 870 printjob mgr failed for everything
Hello,
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard hoping I will then upgrade to Lion. However, now my printer will not print. It recoginzes that something has been sent to the printer but will not print by saying that printjob mgr failed. Using a flash drive I tried to print the files directly from the printer and it states that the files are too big. It does not matter if the format is .pages, .numbers or .pdf. The same message is displayed for everything.
I uninstalled all the pdf updates and the acrobat but it did not help. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the printer and it did not help. I tried to search for the disk utility repair but could not locate that either(as suggested by a post from 2009). I am now lost. I am not sure what to do. Can someone help me please?
Thank you in advance for your help!
If you haven't done so already, try resetting the printing system.
How to Reset the Printing System
Open System Preferences > Print & Scan/Fax
Move your mouse over the Printers list
Hold down the Control button and click the mouse
Click the "Reset printing system ..." popup
Restart your Mac
This will remove your print queues but not your printer drivers. So you will only need to add your printer queues again.

I am attempting to distribute Adobe Flash updates using SCUP 2011, SCCM 2012 R2, WSUS ver4 and Windows Server 2012. Everything installs without error. I have acquired a certificate for SCUP signing from the internal Enterprise CA. I have
verified the signing certificate has a 1024 bit key. I have imported the certificate into the server's Trusted Publishers and Trusted Root CA stores for the computer. When I attempt to publish a Flash update with Full content I receive the following
error:
2015-02-13 23:00:48.724 UTC Error Scup2011.21 Publisher.PublishPackage PublishPackage(): Operation Failed with Error: Verification of file signature failed for file:
\\SCCM\UpdateServicesPackages\a2aa8ca4-3b96-4ad2-a508-67a6acbd78a4\3f82680a-9028-4048-ba53-85a4b4acfa12_1.cab
I have redone the certificates three times with no luck. I can import metadata, but any attempt to download content results in the verification error.
TIAHi Joyce,
This is embarrassing, I used that very post as my guide when deploying my certificate templates, but failed to change the bit length to 2048. Thank you for being my second set of eyes.
I changed my certificate key bit length to 2048, deleted the old cert from all certificate stores, acquired the a new signing cert, verified the key length was 2048, exported the new cert to pfx and cer files, imported into my Trusted publishers
and Trusted Root Authorities stores, reconfigured SCUP to use the new pfx file, rebooted the server and attempted to re-publish the updates with the following results:
2015-02-16 13:35:44.006 UTC Error Scup2011.4 Publisher.PublishPackage PublishPackage(): Operation Failed with Error: Verification of file signature failed for file:
\\SCCM\UpdateServicesPackages\a2aa8ca4-3b96-4ad2-a508-67a6acbd78a4\3f82680a-9028-4048-ba53-85a4b4acfa12_1.cab.
Is there a chance this content was already created and signed with the old cert, so installing the new cert has no effect? In ConfigMgr software updates I see 4 Flash updates, all marked Metadata Only (because they were originally published as "Automatic."
No Flash updates in the ConfigMgr console are marked as downloaded. I can't find any documentation on how the process of using SCUP for downloading content for an update marked Metadata Only actually works.
Comments and suggestions welcome. -
Portmap translation creation failed for udp src inside dst inside
Hi!
I have a problem with allowing traffic to UC500 subnets on ASA 5505 inside interface.
My asa is a main router with addres 192.168.1.1
UC500 voip box is connected to ASA's inside interface through UC500 WAN port with UC500 with 192.168.1.2 address.
Firewall and NAT on UC500 is disable
UC500 sip traffic works fine. voipbox creates its subnets for data and voip - 192.168.10.0 and 10.1.1.0. another important address is 10.1.10.1 which is UC500 CUE.
My problem is that from within ASA local network (192.168.1.0) i cannot reach UC500 subnets, neither can I reach ASA's local network from the UC subnets.
the log says

portmap translation creation failed for udp src inside:DC/53 dst inside:PBXCUE/32901
I tried exempting uc500 subnets on ASA but that didn;t work.
Funny thing is that I CAN reach the UC500 subnets when connecting with VPN to ASA...
Please help! I am not familiar with CLI.
I configured static route to 10.1.10.0 and since then I was able to ping 10.1.10.1 thorugh ASA;s VPN.
I would be grateful for ideas.

dynamic-access-policy-record DfltAccessPolicyHello Julio!
Thank you for your advice.
I have managed to solve my main problem by reconfiguring my switches vlans - enabling trunk port configs for required ports and allowing them access to both vlans.
Now I can see everything from all of my inside networks.
I continue my ASA adventures - I have managed to configure L2TP client access for my windows users, RADIUS authentication for domain users and yesterday night I have managed to configure site to site VPN with my RV120W router.
I am only an enthusiast but my recent successes have given me apetite for more...
I keep reading forums and trying to solve most of my problems myself but I have faced another one now and thought that maybe you could give me another tip on where to look for the issue:
I still have one problem with my L2TP VPN config - I have configured split tunnel on the group policy to tunnel only 192.168.1.0 network requests.

Reports successfully execute but generate a login failed for user 'sa' err
I am running Crystal Reports Server XI R2. Classic ASP is used to generate embedded reports within our application. The crystal reports use ODBC to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database. The reports successfully generate in our Classic ASP application. However in SQL Server 2005, the following error messages are being generated each time a crystal report is ran:
- Login failed for user 'sa'.
- Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 8.
We know that we are passing the correct username/password to the crystal reports, becuase they execute successfully.
It appears that when the report is called, Crystal Reports appears to conect to SQL Server using a username/password that we didn't provide it at execution time, this fails and the SQL Server 'login failed for user' is generated. Then it runs the report using the username/password we provide and it successfully generates a report.
I have ran Profiler against the SQL Server Database and the 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors have a ApplicationName of either 'Seagate Crystal Reports' or 'Crystal Reports'. Therefore I know it is Crystal Reports generating these errors in SQL Server.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop these SQL Server 'Login failed for user 'sa' ' errors being generated?What happens if you use Profiler when running the report using Crystal Report Designer?
If the report is ran through Crystal Report Designer, NO 'Login failed for user' error messages appear in profiler. Everything looks ok when ran in Designer.
Also, need to know what patch level you are on?
We are running Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2, Version: 11.5.8.8265
No additional patchs have been applied since Crystal Reports Server was installed.
We may try the SA account if one of the connections fail to log on with the credentials you provided. Verify the user you logged on with has rights to all tables.
The reports were running through our application using the SA account. The SA account has permissions to these tables. The reports do generate results and appear perfectly fine in the application. The issue is that when our application requests the report from Crystal Reports Server. Crystal Reports Server delivers the correct report to our application. However during the process to generate the report, 'login failed for user 'sa' ' errors are being generated in SQL Server 2005.
Also, I have tried creating a completely new SQL user called 'crystaluser'. I ran the report using Crystal Report Designer and used the crystaluser logon and saved the report. Then I ran the same report through our application. SQL Profiler will then display 'login failed for user 'crystaluser''.
Its seems as though Crystal Reports Server is first executing the report using the default SQL user saved with the report, but is either sending a blank password or no password at all. This generates the 'login failed for user' in SQL Server 2005. But it then uses the SQL username/password my application gives it and successfully generates the report. Of course this is only speculation. -
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool' on SQL Express 2012
I am new to both ASP.NET and SQL Server.
I have IIS8 installed on my Windows 8 PC, together with SQL Server Express 2012. Given my ignorance, I have just set everything up using default values.
I have a very small web site set up in its own folder and set up in IIS 8 as a virtual folder under the default web site. I have also set up a very simple database called 'StockControl' via SSMS, which contains one table called 'Colours' which has two columns.
One page in the website is a simple ASP.NET form which runs on localhost without any problems.
On the second page in the website I added a GridView ASP.NET control, letting Expression Web 4 generate the connection string and place it in a web.config file. I tested the SQL query and the connection as I went along and both came back as successful. So
far, so good.However, when I try to run the page in the browser I get the error message:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Stack Trace:
[SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'IIS APPPOOL\DefaultAppPool'.]
I have spent two days trying to find out what I have done wrong and even uninstalled and re-installed SQL Server just in case i'd totally messed up and corrupted the database.
I would really appreciate some help please.I changed the IIS default identity to NetworkService and got this error instead
Unable to open the physical file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\StockControl.mdf". Operating system error 32: "32(The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.)".
An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA\StockControl.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share.
There is nothing running that is using the database.
I have also set a login up for the Apppool and set the user mapping to the database but the problem persists,
What is so infuriating is that a week ago I had several pages in this website that displayed, inserted, updated and deleted records on this database using ADO as well as ASP.NET running just fine. Then this problem came out of nowhere. -

However, I believe my issue has to do with a CVUHOME/cv/admin/cvu_config.

Hello,
I have 2 SQL Server 2008 R2 machines that are configured with database mirroring (using certificates as authentication), there is no witness configured. My issue is that the mirror server is receiving at least one of the below pared messages every
second and filling up my sql error log quickly.
SYSTEM is the service account user for the MSSQLSERVER service.
[298] SQLServer Error: 4060, Cannot open database "<databasename>" requested by the login. The login failed. [SQLSTATE 42000]
[298] SQLServer Error: 18456, Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. [SQLSTATE 28000]
The database has a status of: Affected database state is: Mirror, Synchronized/Restoring...
When I checking the database mirror monitor, it shows that its mirroring ok and everything has green checkboxes.
Is there a way to stop all these errors being logged, I'm assuming this isn't normal.
MarcusYes i have faced the same issues and tried everything and nothing was using this account, system was ended up with creating few GB's sql error log files everday.. and finally i had two options, 1 -- Rebuild the instance completely 2. Change the SQL Server
Audit settings to Only successful logins and restart the instance.. ( May be your current sql server level Audit setting is set to Failed & Successful logins..
Remeber my server was a DR so I have changed the SQL Server Audit settings to only Successful logins.. but production servers we will monitor both... :)

Aleatory One factory fails for the operation "encode"-JPEG
I've a very strange problem with JAI.write using JPEG, but is happening aleatory. Some times it works, some times I get the exception and some other times don't. What I've seen is that when I got first this error, then all the rest of the images throws it. I mean, I'm working OK and then I got the exception, from there, all the images, no matter that they were not trowing exceptions before, now they do, so I don't know what is happening. I'll post some code snippets and the full stack trace of the exception. Hope you can help me:
First, I have a class that is a JSP-Tag:
RenderedOp outputImage = JAI.create("fileload", imgFile.getAbsolutePath());
int widthSize = outputImage.getWidth();
int heightSize = outputImage.getHeight();
try{
outputImage.dispose();
}catch(Exception e){}
outputImage = null;That's the first thing, now, the second, this is a Servlet that writes the image to the browser (GetImageServlet its name, which appears in the stack trace):
FileSeekableStream fss = new FileSeekableStream(file);
RenderedOp outputImage = JAI.create("stream", fss);
int widthSize = outputImage.getWidth();
int heightSize = outputImage.getHeight();
if ((outputImage.getWidth() > 0) && (outputImage.getHeight() > 0)) {
if ((isThumbnail) && ((outputImage.getWidth() > 60) || (outputImage.getHeight() > 60))) {
outputImage = ImageManagerJAI.thumbnail(outputImage, 60);
} else if (outputRotate != 0) {
outputImage = ImageManagerJAI.rotate(outputImage, outputRotate);
OutputStream os = resp.getOutputStream();
resp.setContentType("image/jpeg");
ImageManagerJAI.writeResult(os, outputImage, "JPEG");
outputImage.dispose();
os.flush();
os.close();
outputImage = null;
imgFile = null;The code of ImageManagerJAI.writeResult, which is a method I use above:
public static void writeResult(OutputStream os, RenderedOp image, String type) throws IOException {
if ("GIF".equals(type)) {
GifEncoder encoder = new GifEncoder(image.getAsBufferedImage(), os);
encoder.encode();
} else {
JAI.create("encode", image, os, type, null);
}And the full exception trace is:

Download the Fireworks updater from here:

When you have downloaded and extracted the file right click and then click "run as Adminstrator".
It should work for you. I had the same issue and did this and everything worked, -
Hi Everyone we are facing following issue in GRC-SAC-SAE 5.3_16.3. So far our CUP was connected to Enterprize portal (7.01) and auto provisioning for group to users worked. However now it is not working with below error.
Role Provisioning failed for System(s) : <Connector Name>. Error Message :
malformedRequest
Failed request now
Successful request used to provision
Regards,
Arpan PaikArpan,
We used to get those "malformed request" errors. We dealt with them by requesting the portal to be re-booted during the weekend maintenance window, making the portal security changes manually, cancelling the CUP request and notifying the requester. It's not a great solution, I know, but it was all we could come up with at the time. Then they upgraded the portal to NW 7.31, which is incompatible with GRC 5.3, and we have to do everything manually, so our situation went from bad to worse. Good luck!
Cheers,
Gretchen -

UsmanBelow is the solution provide by the SR Team its works perfectly our enviorment.
Please perform the following steps:
1. Stop all middle tier services including the concurrent managers. Make sure no FNDLIBR, FNDSM, or other dead processes are running.
(restart application and database OS (i have done this step additionally))
2. Stop and then restart the database.
3. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following :
EXEC FND_CONC_CLONE.SETUP_CLEAN;
COMMIT;
EXIT;
4. Reference Note.260887.1 regarding the Steps to Clean Nonexistent Nodes or IP Addresses from FND_NODES.
5.. Run AutoConfig on all tiers, firstly on the DB tier and then the APPS tiers and Web tiers to repopulate the required system tables.
6. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following statement :
select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
If the above SQL does not return any value please do the following:
cd $FND_TOP/patch/115/sql
Connect to SQLPLUS as APPS user and run the following script :
SQL> @afdcm037.sql;
Reference Note 218893.1 How to Create The Service Manager 'FNDSM' on Oracle Applications
to create libraries for FNDSM and create managers for preexisting nodes.
Check again that FNDSM entries now exist:
select CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME
from FND_CONCURRENT_QUEUES
where CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME like 'FNDSM%';
7. Please run the Concurrent Manager Recovery feature to address any Concurrent Manager / Concurrent Processing issues within the Oracle Application Manager.
8. Start the middle tier services including your concurrent manager.
9. Retest the issue.
