Cant access iTunes Store on G4 running OSX Leopard

I can't access iTunes Store on G4 running OSX Leopard. It's telling me I need Safari 4.0.3 in order to have access to iTunes and I have the latest version.

try if this helps:
download iTunes from here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and run the installer over your existing installation.
you can also try to run the 10.5.8 combo updater (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx1058comboupdate .html) to see if that fixes your issue. be sure to repair permissions prior to and after installing the combo.
when done, check software again for any updates offered.

    Hi Doomtrooper,
When you updated your iPhone 4S and iPad3 to iOS6, what exactly do you mean when you can't access the iTunes store? Have you checked your connection to the network?
Please be a little more specific

    Hello lucy295
Continue your troubleshooting with the article below to get access to the iTunes Store.
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Regards,
    -Norm G.

  • Cant access itunes store network

since i upgraded itunes, i can't access the itunes store. Help!

    Hi, all!
I had the same problem a couple of days ago, but it had nothing to do with the upgrade.
I got in touch with Apple Support, and they advised me to make sure my date and time were correctly set, that my firewall software was correctly set to allow iTunes, and to make sure that iTunes was a "trusted application" for my AV/Internet Security software.
I did all that, but nothing worked.
I then got back to them, and they advised me to completely uninstall iTunes and QuickTime, giving me extensive, detailed instructions on how to go about it.
I did that, rebooted, and re-installed the latest version of iTunes and QuickTime.  (I had also disabled the AV - Kaspersky PURE, by the way).  The installation seemed to go OK, and I duly rebooted as instructed.  I also disabled Windows Firewall and kept Kaspersky disabled while I tried starting up iTunes.  It started up, store login went OK, but the store was still blank.  I couldn't even see my iTunes Store account.
I then completely uninstalled Kaspersky, left Windows Firewall disabled, rebooted and tried iTunes again.  Still no good.
After much fiddling around, I found that I had another conflicting application on my machine:  it was a video accelerator from a company called SpeedBit.  Apparently it had been installed by RealPlayer, which I also use from time to time.
I uninstalled the SpeedBit Video Accelerator, and all other SpeedBit software, and, guess what?
    iTunes suddenly started working!
I re-installed Kaspersky PURE, re-enabled Windows Firewall, etc., and iTunes still works OK.
My conclusion:  iTunes is incompatible with any kind of video or download accelerators.
So, if you check the Support FAQ and follow all the instructions about Windows security settings, internet security and firewall settings, uninstalling and re-installing iTunes, etc., and it still doesn't work, also look on your machine for any other download accelerators, video accelerators, etc., get rid of them, and I think you might be OK.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards to all

  • Cant access itunes store from ipad

I changed my apple id to use my email address, after upgrading my ipad to IOS5. The problem is, whenever I try to sign into Itunes or the app store on my ipad, I get the error " Cannot connect to itunes store". If I try and sign into itunes from my pc then I have no issues at all, and can access both itune store and app store on the pc.
So its not an issue with my apple ID otehrwise I would get the same error on both devices. Anybody have the same issue and/or a fix?
    Cheers

Ok, Heres the fix..you need to do a restore on the Ipad..Go to settings, then general,..down the bottom you will see reset, go into those options and you want the first one.. Reset All Settings...
The Ipad will reset and then it will walk you thru the steps to set up things such as your network etc.
You will be asked if you want to set up as a new ipad, restore from icloud, or from itunes. I restored from Itunes from my pc.
When you connect to Itunes on the pc, your ipad will sync. On the left side of itunes ,under devices you will see your ipad connected..put your mouse on the device icon and then right click. One of your options will be restore from back up, chose this option and then you will be given a drop down list of backups to restore from (i only saw the one from a few minutes prior). Select this and then let the ipad restore, restart, and reync.
When the ipad tell you restore is completed then disconnect from your pc, The ipad will ask you to set up network and a couple of other things, it will then ask you to sign into your apple account.
After I had signed in and was told my setup was complete, I was able to go to intunes store and app store without any issues.........

  • HT4743 Tv shows purchased wont play through tv, error says cant access iTunes store

Need assistance viewing tv show purchased on ipad, through Apple TV, get error can't access iTunes Store

Hi - I am now having this same exact problem on my Mac laptop.   I have many Breaking Bad, etc TV shows that I purchased through itunes & have watched over the years & now all of those, as well as, any new shows I purchase will not play on my laptop.    Just same as above person -- a black screen that appears to be playing movie (the timer is actually playing)  but no video or sound.    Shows / Movies all work fine on my home computer.
On my laptop it keeps saying .. "Not authorized to play .... & then says  "Sign into Itunes.. "   - but I  do sign out & sign  back in & still nothing happens.   Very annoying and frustrating as I  can ususlly figure things out with perserverence and trial & error.

I am unable to get to itunes store and itunes does not recognise my ipod when I plug it in. Everything was working fine until a recent update to itunes.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. Also tried flushing and reseting winsock (whatever that is, thought socks went on your feet!).
Anyway, this is now the second day fo trouble and I'm getting pretty fedup with it. Any answers anyone please!
