I have a WP8.1 Nokia Lumia 1020 and I have tried to setup my exchange account on the phone but it will not allow it, I have used my old WP8.1 Nokia Lumia 920 with the same account and server setup before the 1020. Any ideas why this has happened and how
I can fix.
Note that it works on the 1020 with another username.

• Calendar readonly access on mobile device

Hi,
We have a 'company' calender where all users have readonly access (one users has admin access to post new events.)
This works fine in Outlook/OWA but now those same users want access to this calendar through their mobile device.
How can I accomplish this?
kind regards

Hi,
I suggest asking ActiveSync Forum for help so that we can get more professional suggesions.
For your convenience:

• Cant install apple mobile device windows7

Hi everybody,
I have a problem with my itunes. First it started with not recognizing my iphone.
So I looked up how to solve this problem. So I uninstalled everything like it was described on apple support.
Well, what happened next?
I tunes was installed "succesfully" but then when I put the iphone on usb it said, you installed the wrong version of itunes, install the version for 64 bla bla
kind of confused, I reinstalled it again and tried it again and again...
Then I read somewhere that maybe I should turn off my antivir program, I did. No change.
So I had some problems with my windows 7 while installing some silly updates..
Oh, and the last time I tried to install itunes, it stopped to install and said,
apple mobile device cant be installed bla bla, then itunes stops to install and thats it.
So,
I hope somebody experienced the same problem and can tell me how to solve it?
Because now I m thinking of getting out of this apple circle, because this costed me hours and hours of my
precious time. :-)
And please dont tell me to uninstall itunes, because at the moment I just cant install it anymore !
Thank you in advance for your help,
sincerely,
desperate
Diana

okay, I tried it again, and made a screenshot,
so, I would have the option to use the button ignore, but then its not going to recognize my iphone. Its in German, but it says that apple mobile device can t be started. and I should figure out if I have the rights to start the services. Ridicule.

• SAP system access from mobile device

Hi Techies,
One of my client requirement is as below:
For WMS operations they need to access SAP from mobile devices, SAP suggested to use SAP Console for their requirement.
What are the available options to achieve this?
And any sample docs/Install guide links?
Env is SAP 4.7
Regards,
NIck Loy

Hi Nick,
1) We are running on ABAP engine(SAP 4.7), is it possible to use SAP ITS ?
Yes, it is possible: you can use the ITS 6.20; SAP note 325616 will provide you with more information.
2) If possible what are the mail installation kits, R/3 activities to activate the ITS service?
You can go through the installation guide:
htp://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Frontend Components (ITS / GUI) -> SAP Internet Transaction Server -> 6.20
Here you find the Installation Guides, for example SAP @WEB 6.20 (SAP ITS) Inst. Guide Patchlevel 23 or higher
I hope this helps,
Cristiano

• Cant get Apple Mobile Device to start since recent update

In my contol panel servies its already set to automatic and start is the only option it will allow me to do and when i do that it says the AMD serivce on local computer started and stopped, some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other programs.

"The apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped. some sevices stop automatically if they have no work to do for example the performance logs and alerts service."
Although the following document is usually a better bet with a 1067 error when starting AMDS, it might also be worth a try with your one:

• Exchange 2010 activesync, Personal archive access from Mobile devices like Iphone,IPAD and Android based Phones

Hi,
As of what i have found from different blogs is that all the activesync devices including IPhone , IPAD and  Android based phones cannot access online archive/Personal archive in exchange 2010.
Is there any third party app in the market for the above devices which can support access of Online archive?
Thanks in Adavance

There must be a way! Since you can view the online archive through webmail with supported browsers on PC(IE, Firefox, Safari OSx) (so activeX is no must).
All it takes is a browser that can set a different 'agent' and that can interact with the webmail(OWA) website just like Safari on OSx.
I tried different browsers on the iPad, they all display the Online archive, but the navigation is broken. (scrolling by sliding your fingers does not work correct) The result is that you can not open(read) any mail in your online archive.
The browsers we tested and show the online archive but where the navigation doesn't work are:
On iPad:
- Kissmyagent
- Atomnic(the free AND payd version)
On android:
app: 'OWA for Android' (does not show the online Archive)
Maybe someone can come up with a browser and/or app that can show the online archive!

I recently was able to fix a similar error. It was very difficult to diagnose, but the symptom was this error or a similar one depending on what I was doing. I also found that windows updates were failing and had several applications giving me a similar error when I was trying to load them. After visiting numerous sites and trying multiple things I finally stumbled on how to fix it. I will attempt to explain it here.
First, try running the sfc command. If this works you can avoid some fairly tedious extra steps.
- From the Windows Start menu, open Accessories, right click on a command prompt and select Run as administrator.
- From the command prompt, Run the 'sfc /scannow' command. With any luck this will run several minutes. It will produce a fairly detailed report of what it finds and fixes in the Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log file. To view that file you may need to copy and paste. Much may not make must sense if you aren't to computer literate but it will fix a host of issues.
- In MY case, this command was failing with the following error: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
I looked into why I got that error and that led me to finding out I had a TrustedInstaller issue:
- Open the Start menu and type services and open the Services application.
- Look in the list of services for Windows Module Installer. In my case, this application was not there.
- Look in the Windows\Servicing folder. There should be a file called ‘TrustedInstaller’ but in all likelihood there is not.
- Open Start and search your system for TrustedInstaller. Mine was in
- Copy the TrustedInstaller to the Windows\Servicing folder.
Your first attempt will likely fail with ‘Access Denied’ even if you try to do this as administrator. This is because TrustedInstaller user ‘owns’ the Windows\Servicing window. In order to copy you will need to view the security properties on the Servicing folder and set the owner to your administrative user:
Right click on the Servicing folder select Properties. Select the Security Tab. Select Advanced.
Select Owner and set the user to an admin user on your machine.
You can then paste TrustedInstaller into the folder. IMPORTANT: after doing so, set the owner back to Trusted Installer:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/159360-trustedinstaller-restore-owner.html
Once you’ve done this, reboot. Open Services again and you will see Windows Module Installer is now in the services list.
Open a command prompt using instructions above and again run ‘sfc /scannow’. It’ll take several minutes.
Once I did the above, I found that Windows updates now installed and all the applications that I had been trying to install (iTunes, Cyberlink PowerDirector, Visual Studion C++ 2008 Redistributable were some) now installed without issue.
I hope this helps someone as I tried all sorts of stuff before stumbling on this combo of things.

• Event ID 4 while attempting to access Mobile Devices list in ECP/OWA

Hi Community!
We just recently setup an Exchange 2013 (CU6) environment migrating away from Exchange 2010.  Our 2013 environment has 1 Mailbox server and 1 Client Access Server.  Everything appears to be functioning correctly between 2010 & 2013, except
when attempting to access the Mobile Device list from a user account within Exchange Admin Center in 2013.  We receive an error 400 Outlook Web App Options and Event ID 4 on the Mailbox Server.
Thank you to anyone who can shed some light on this issue.

I has error MSVCR80, followed instructions to delete itunes etc as itunes help suggested, but I cant delete Apple mobile device support, it stays present. how can i delete it?

b noir  I am now trying to download itunes as you suggested, but as I press download it goes to the next screen and thanks me for downloading itunes but hasnt actually downloaded it ?? not in downloads. not asked to run or save.
turingtest2 has you covered with his advice for that one. I concur.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
If you still can't get a working installer from the standard download page, try the following direct download links for 11.1.5.5 (these are actually from the version of the user tip that tt2 linked you to in his reply:
