If your Menu Bar is Enabled -->
Tools > Options > Content
If your Menu Bar is Disabled -->
Firefox > Options > Content
After clicking on Content, you find Block pop-up windows.
On its right, there is a button named Exceptions.
On clicking on Exceptions, another window will open.
There you can type the address of the website that you wish to visit.
Then, click on Allow.
This should do the trick.

Did you buy the phone second-hand? There is a limit of three new iCloud accounts which can be created using any one device (it's tied to the serial number of the device, not any login) so presumably the previous owner had done this. There's no way of bypassing this restriction. You can create a new iCloud account on another iOS 5/6 devoce or on a Mac running Lion or Mountain Lion, and then sign into it on this phone.

Can' access websites after recent security update.

I recently updated to the latest Apple security update on my 24" Imac and now cannot access some sites like Google and others. Some work fine, some not at all. I haven't changed anything else since the update. Is there a way to remove the security update? Any suggestions, thanks.

The only way to remove a Security Update is to reinstall Mac OS X from the Install DVD, perhaps as an Archive and Install, and update the OS until just prior to the Security Update.
I installed the Update on two Macs, a Power PC G3 and and Intel, and we have not experienced any issues. Post a fewof the websites and let some of us test and see what the issues may be.

If this phone you bought was already running iOS 7 and had the new activation lock enabled, you can't do anything.
That's the whole point of the feature. If it could be bypassed it would be a pointless feature.
If you can't get the previous owner to unlock it, you've wasted your money.

Mac users cant access website

When trying to connect to a certain website my company is hosting Mac users are unable to connect to the site when the firewall is turned on. PC's and BSD does not seem to be affected. We are using win 2k3 server and the standard windows firewall which has TCP-80, 8080 and 443 open. Do Macs use another port that other platforms do not for connecting to websites? If so does anybody know what that port would be as I have had no luck finding out and blocking all macs from our sites is not sonmething I wish to do.

When I turn on the firewall I get people screaming at me that they can't get on the site, only mac's no pc's. Its not only one server either there are 3 and all have the same issue. I have tried the site with my laptop that has freeBSD as well as my desktop with isnt a Mac and have no problms but the second I turn on that firewall, BAM emails galore from Mac users.
I have tried opening the UPD ports on 80,443 and 8080 thinking that may help but that didnt work either. Theres some port I need to open that only Macs use and I have no idea what it may be.

We have been working for quite a while on a site with selling secure zone access as a core requirement.
I just learned, and confirmed with LiveChat, that this feature is broken - bug #3762945
Is there a projected repair date for this?

I received this from support on Tuesday:
we do have a bug (recently created). The bug has been filed for the problem: Form that is selling access to a recurring secure zone , don't create recurring orders. But our enginnering guys made some tests with test payment gateways and all works fine. So it's still under investigation.
This issue has been reported to engineering/development team and we and product management are already aware of the issue. Our development team will work on this and we expect this to be fixed with future updates."

Is it possible to access a secure zone using the login details of another application?

Given this scenario: A member signs in to an application on another platform (e.g. a MySQL application). Is it possible for that member to access a secure zone of an associated Business Catalyst website without needing to sign in again?
For example, a BC wesbite is set up to promote a MySQL application. The BC website has help files that only members can access. The member has logged in to the MySQL application and clicks a link to view the help files. The member is forwarded to the help files within the BC secure zone without needing to sign in to the secure zone.
I guess this scenario is based on the following:
That the other platform and the BC website are able to share the same member log details.
The other platform is able to communicate with BC to inform BC that the user has signed in, and this is the member’s log in details.
That the above can be done securely.
I’m keen to know if this can be done, and how it would be done. Or if there's a better/different way to achieve the same result. I look forward to your reply.

Thanks for reply. I am using flex builder 3. and i want to access .proerties file from flex application(web application) . The reason behind using .properties file is that user should be able to modify any property value in that file. This file should not be embeded in application swf means any change in .properties file need not compile flex application. This file would be under the web context where swf file reside in web server. It should be accessible from flex application at run time.
Is there any way to implement this. If any one know please reply.

Can't access several websites after last security update

After upgrading both my Macbook Air mid 2011 and iMac 2008 (with SSD) both running Mountain Lion 10.8.4 to the last security fix, I can't access from any of those two computers a variety of websites, for example:
www.opennicproject.org
www.gentoo-el.org
www.adslgr.com
These are only three. Almost half of Google's results are blocked. Using the terminal utility I am able to resolv some of them but not actually 'ping' them. I get no ping replies. I can access all these websites from other computers or devices (iPhone/iPad/Ubuntu desktop/WindowsXP laptop) on the same LAN. This problem exists only in the 2 macs which are up-to-date. I am sure that this problem is related to latest security update I did a couple of days ago, to both computers.
I'd like to know if anyone who have all patches installed up to the latest OSX version (mountain lion 10.8.4) has the same issues and can ping/resolv/access these websites.
Note that although I can't access these websites directly using any direct network connection, I can access them using TOR browser bundle for mac, which means that something is going on at a computer level.
I have checked so far:
- Applicationn Apple's firewall is not creating the problem (disabled/enabled all)
- ipfw/PF is not running with any ruleset
- LittleSnitch blocks just a couple of annoying outgoing connections. Nothing there (I disabled/enabeld it, same thing).
- Other computers access the websites/ping them/etc.
- I can access websites using TOR.
NOTE: It's not just 3 websites, it's something like 1 out of 3 DuckDuckGo links.
Ideas and thoughts are welcomed!

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.

BT infinity installed and cant access secure sites...

Had BT Infinity installed last Friday and now cant access secure sites such as my Bank to check my account or Credit Card site to check latest outgoings. My laptop accesses but PC doesnt using the same router. Any suggestions please.

Seen this hundreds of times, the most likely cause is CMOS battery in your PC running flat, it means that whenever you unplug your PC it loses the date and time.
SSL certificates are valid for date periods and your PC things it's not in that date period.

Problems accessing secure zones in admin panel from Chrome

Is anyone else having this issue? I have tried everything I know and every time I try to access and individual secure zone in chrome it just tries loading and never get anywhere (like after hours) but works fine on safari.
I contacted support but they seem to think it is a cache issue with me (but I don't have cache enabled and have cleared my entire history). urg.

I have the opposite view. I would expect people in the industry to frown on AdBlocking since we often build projects for clients that rely on advertising to survive so you can appreciate the negative effect AdBlock has on client's revenue. I don't know how you're pumping money into Facebook besides buying ads which you are then blocking. If anything, you are directly removing money from the pockets of the owners of these free sites which provide a valuable free service to you and yours.

Best practice for secure zone various access

I am setting up a new site with a secure zone.
There will be a secure zone. Once logged in, users will have access to search and browse medical articles/resources
This is how an example may go:
The admin user signs up Doctor XYZ to the secure zone.
The Doctor XYZ is a heart specialist, so he only gets access to web app items that are classified as "heart".
However, he may also be given access to other items, eg: "lung" items.
Or, even all items. It will vary from user to user.
Is there any way to separate areas within the secure zone and give access to those separate areas (without having to give access to individual items - which will be a pain because there will be hundreds of records; and also without having the user log out and log into another secure area)

Simple - don't expose your server to the outside world.
As long as you're running on a NAT network behind some firewall or router that's filtering traffic, no external traffic can get to your server unless you setup port forwarding - this is the method used to run, say, a public web server where you tell the router/firewall to allow incoming traffic on port 80 to get to your server.
If you don't setup any port forwarding, no external traffic can get in.
There are additional steps you can take - such as running the software firewall built into Mac OS X to tell it to only accept network connections from the local network, but that's not necessary in most cases.
And 2. The best way to ensure secure AND encrypted file sharing via the server...
VPN should take care of most of your concerns - at least as far as the file server is concerned. I'd be more worried about what happens to the files once they leave the network - for example have you ensured that the remote user's local system is sufficiently secured so that no one can get the documents off his machine once they're downloaded?
