Cant add email accounts

ok just bought a macbook pro retina. im trying to add email accounts to it. i have yahoo msn gmail and hotmail accounts i need to add. every time i fill in the add accounts it will not accept any passwords nor will it save any under preferences.im not stuck,any help? my ipad accepts them as does my galaxy note phone,but this will not no matter what i do?

I have one Mac pro workstation on a all windows network, its added to the domain. i can give network users administrative permissions on the pc by selecting allow user to administer this computer in the accounts in system preferences but they dont have file permissions unless i add them explicitly on the file or folder. i'm new with macs and not sure on what to do.

How to add email accounts on Ipad 2

I can't add email accounts on my Ipad 2. When I select Settings, Email-Contacts-calendar the Ipad returns to the begin screen. I don not get any possibility to select an email provider or add an account. Just the begin screen.

iphone does support hotmail, but Windows Mail (Windows Vista) does not support Hotmail. you also need to have a subscription to hotmail (aka windows live)....they no longer allow IMAP/POP access w/ free accounts. i purchased the Hotmail Plus subscription for 19.95 yearly ($1.66/month) - this is the cheapest one.
here are the Hotmail settings for iphone:
Select OTHER for mail account:

Cant add hotmail account to Mail on Iphone 4S

I have recently reset an old iPhone 4s 32gb for work purposes, and am trying to set up my email account.
Ive tried using the 'exchange' account however shows up saying "Outlook Account" Unable to verify account information.
So ive tried using other in the hopes of adding it, and its coming up saying - A WINDOWS LIVE HOTMAIL PLUS SUBSCRIPTION IS REQUIRED TO USE HOTMAIL ACCOUNTS WITH MAIL. VISIT

Ive tried visiting the above website and I get nothing, saying its offline or something.
I select Next, and it goes through the stage saying 'verifying' and it comes up with another pop up saying" The POP server "pop3.live.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "Incoming Mail Server" field. I select OK. I try and Re-Save the info, which goes through "verifying" again, and it comes up with;
Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
Yes or No?
My passwork is correct? I have no idea why this is becoming an issue, when before the reset everything was working perfectly.

Short answer: when you are in settings, add email account, scroll down to outlook.com and use this to enter your hotmail account. Hope it works for you.

You can add an email account by connecting to your computer's iTunes, selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes and on the right-hand side use the Info tab to sync the account's settings from, for example, Outlook on your PC or Mail if using a Mac. Or you can add the account's details manually via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
If terms of a security lock do you mean for the iPad as a whole ? You can't password protect the Mail app, but for the iPad you can set one via Settings > General > Passcode Lock - but if you do set one remember it, as the only way to remove the lock if you forget it is to restore the iPad via your computer's iTunes

Sounds like you hav Restrictions set that prevent changing accounts. Go to Settings>General.Restirctions to check/change . It portected by a passcode if Restrictions are set.

Unable to add email account in mail settings

On my ipad model MB293LL I am unable to access the 'Mail, Contacts, Calenders' menu in my settings. i am trying to add an Email account in the settings, but the tab 'Mail, Contacts, Calenders' will not open, but returns to the desktop. Does anyone know a workaround please to add a new account?

Help - How To Add Email Account To ITunes

I’ve added a Gmail account to my iPhone (original model using iTunes 7.7 & OS 2.0) and Entourage and Mail applications. It works fine in both applications and the iPhone.
My problem is that it does not appear in the list of my older mail accounts in iTunes when I sync my iPhone. It appears that iTunes does not recognize the newly added Gmail account even though it is fully functional.
Does anyone know how to add an email account to iTunes so that its settings will be synced?

I am having the same problem. Two mail accounts on the computer but none show up in itunes. They did the first time I synced the phone and now they are gone, unfortunately the first time i synced I didn't sync the mail accounts and on the second sync I was going to set up the mail accounts but they've vanished. Very strange. I've searched and have seen another post on this problem, but no solution.

N97: Impossible to add email accounts

When I initially set up my Nokia N97, I added several email accounts with no problem. But now when I need to add an account, it is not possible any more.
The Help tells me to go to Messages > Options >Settings > Email > Email accounts and choose Options > New email account. But under Email accounts > Options there is no option New email account any more. Why is that??

I am not desperate to have this mail working on my N97, just would be really nice - currently i just use my webmail which looks 1000x better anyway (roundcude) - and I get HTML mails...
However with that said I am troubled with the fact that Nokia cannot make a simple think like IMAP work - yes sure it works - then one message comes along and the whole app chokes. I believe that they also broke the scheduled retrieval of messages with IMAP. Sure I could use POP3 (seems to be OK) but that really is a pain as then I have to go through and manage mail on one client. If I have read a msg on one client i like it marked as read on the other, etc. What I don't understand is that IMAP works perfectly on the N95 and it did work on up to v12 FW.
Also given that it is 2010 and the messaging app does not support simple HTML is also bothersome. Bottom line is that Nokia $ucks.
I fail to see why they have developed the other "Ovi / Nokia" messaging before fixing the other built in client - and why they have the same name also escapes me..... While it does support HTML mails it is such a terrible app that it is sad, the amount of messages it lets you store is pathetic, it looks terrible and it is not integrated into the phone. Not to mention all mails go thu Nokia Servers so security is out the window - maybe good for a MOM with a LOW end phone, not the kind of thing for an enterprise user that paid $800 for a flagship phone that was touted by Nokia as the "most advanced mobile computer in the world"
Is is a flaming hunk of $%# ! 10 months later and they can't fix a few small email bugs? ridiculous. This is why I am not buying another Nokia.
I love my purple screen, 1/2 day battery, sketchy touch screen and $800 price tag - I call it my Lumia 900

Can not add email account

Hello All
Just got a blackberry curve 9220 to but my extra number on it as it was for a very good price.
The thing is i don't want to register to my network data plan i want to use this device only with wifi
the thing is i can not add my Gmail account!
All toutrials shows that when i click add an email account i shoud have internet email account or enterprise account.
Every time i click on the setup an email the next window is "Activate Enterprise Account"
Is there anyway around this or that's it i have to get a data plan to use my balckberry?!!

TS3899 Unable to re-add email account after updating to IOS 6

Hi,
I have tried to search to see where this has been covered previously and have followed many of the helpful suggestions.
I have updated to IOS 6. On IPhone 4.
I was unable to send email. I have followed all tips such as switching phone off.
I have deleted email account as it kept saying "null accout is already configured..".
Now I can't add my email account again.
I have been on email providers website and can get web mail fine.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

precisely the same issue on 2 computers on 10.9 and 10.10
- the accounts are google apps for business accounts
- imap is on
- 2 step verification is off
- upgrading the 10.9 machines resulted in the same issue/error
- running onyx and cleaning out everything did nothing
- trashing mail prefs nothing
- creating new user account on the macs...same issue
- i can setup the accounts on my own 10.10 machine (ios also works for those 2 accounts)
completely dead in the water....my next step to try is to clean install the 2 effected machine....

Cannot add email account

I have been trying over the past 7 days to add a 2nd email account using the nokia messaging website, but after inputting the mailserver and port details continually get the error message "Cannot process your request, please try later". Is anyone else experiencing this?
I purchased my new Nokia 5800XM so I could get access to my email and this not very satisfactory.

I keep getting the same error.
When I try to add one through the phone interface i get an error that my username or password are invalid. After that i try using the software normally and it tells me my credentials are expired andasks me for a password. and the my nokia email password does not work!!!! I need to reinstall the app every time.
