Cant add new resolution on VGA monitor

I did a fresh install on my system.
I installed nvidia drivers, xorg and kde from official repo and my system booted perfectly for first time.
After this, i had a problem with my system not booting kdm and stopping to a certain point every time.
I found a solution for this on the forum, i added to
/etc/mkintcpio.conf
MODULES="nvidia"
and i did
mkinitcpio -p linux
but now im with resolution 640x480 while my monitor supports 1920x1080
the monitor is connected with vga cable and adapter to dvi
i tried to use my tv monitor with hdmi cable and everything works fine there

and i get this

so im stuck here.. i dont know what to do..
(If im in wrong section, sorry! and i hope i ve written and described my problem nice, if not feel free to correct me or ask me something to do, i really need help..)

Please post some hardware details, such as: nvidia card model, any integrated card (intel / ADM), laptop or desktop computer.
You can use the following command to configure xorg if not already done:
# nvidia-xconfig
Look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA#Configuring for further information about Xorg configuration with nvidia. You can also go to the nvidia control panel for advanced settings.

Pinned tabs no longer there & cant add new ones

When I open Firefox, the areas where the nine pinned tabs used to be are blanked out.
I can no longer click a site that was in them and I cant add new ones.
I have done an uninstall and reinstall of Firefox, this didn't work.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).

Add new Alerts to system monitoring

My Name is Tomas Piqueres and I'm working with Solution Manager. I'm monitoring one of my systems and I'm setting up some alerts.
The problem is when I'm trying to add some alerts that are outside the last node (the corresponding with the server name).
For example, I want to activate an alert to see the free disk space in database, at satellite system I select the alert and set properties. Here I found the full name of the properties:
<SID>\Microsoft SQL Server\Space management\DB:PRO\N:/MSSQL/PRODATA1/PRODATA1.mdf\PRODATA1 Free Disk Space
With the full path, I go to my Solution Manager> transaction DSWP>Select my solution>Operation setup>Setup System Monitoring
Here I only can add new User Defined Alerts for my server and my SAP System. If I select User Defined Alerts for my database I get the error No properties can be maintained for the selected node (MTE).
If I try to add an alert for the server, the path for all of the alerts possible is <SID>\<server name>\.....
So I can't add the alert I've got from satellite system.
Is there any way to add more alerts?
Please, could you help me?

Cant add new printers

Hi,
I've had my macbook for about 3 mnths now. I never got around to setting up my personal printer to this - but I plugged in a brother usb printer a mnth ago and started printing with no problems. Now i'm trying to share with a pc printer, only during all of this i have discovered that i cant add any new printers at all.. Please help!!

It's not quite clear when you say "share with a pc printer" as to what you mean.
Is this printer hooked to the PC? If so did you add it on the PC to Printer Sharing?
If Printer sharing is ON on the Mac you must turn it off & reboot, as it'll only see Printers directly connected to the Mac.
Or are you trying to share the Mac's Printer with the PC?

Cant add new music after ios 5.0 update to iPhone4

Ill add music like i have been doing and the songs that i try to add just sit in the list grey like they would when you would first try to upload, but they never upload or even start to. All my old music still plays as far as i know, but i just cant add any new music. Is there something i need to set up in summary or something?

Cant add new contacts to Address Book Server

I would like to have a Global Address Book Server where all the user can add/delete contacts. I have done all the setups but in the iMacs (the users) I can see the Address Book Server but NOT the + button to add a new contact. Why ?
In the group name, together to "Address Book Server" there is not any error icon so I understand the client-server connection is well done.
Can someone tell me what should I check ?

I was look ing at this last night. I think there's an 'add new contacts to' type pop-up somewhere in the client account settings. That might be it.

Cant add new contacts to favourites in iphone4

Unable to add new contacts into favourites section in iphone4. When trying to add new contact the phone simply reverts back to home screen. Any one knows a solution.

i'd do a backup ASAP. then try doing a verify disk in disk utility, if shows any fatal errors, then the drive, likely it's at the end of it's useful life, esp if it's the originial that shipped with the mac.

Cant add new iCloud because my device iphone reached maximum number

I am giving my iphone 4s to a friend but cannot add a new iCloud account. Why there is a limited number? This mean that he cannot use the iphone? I find this not good and why Apple don't specify this matter when you apply the first time?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately once all the 3 iCloud accounts have been created on your device, you cannot create any more regardless of what you do. You will need to re-use one of the accounts that you have already created or create your new account on another iOS device or Mac computer.

Cant add new songs to ipod

when i originally sync it, it worked fine. but i have other songs i want to add. i cant drag and drop the songs to the play list. i do see it in the device, and even if i go to file>add file to library and pick one, it still wont add it to the play list.

If that's the case and you were able to drag songs to it previously then the only other thing I can suggest is that you try restoring the iPod. Just be aware that restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings, so if you have songs on your iPod that aren't on iTunes you will lose them if you have no back up. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

I have an iphone 4s with 2gb of free space and when i try to put music on it, it tells me i cant because there is no space and im only adding 8mb so i cant add new music.. PLEASE HELP!

I'm having this same problem. I've got 21.36G audio, 8.73 photos, 11.64 apps, 2.12 other, and negligable books and video. With all of this, I have 13.27 gigs free, and the sync error says I need about 8 gigs more. I've got an iPhone 4S running the latest iOS 6. Also, I've been using checked items to manage what gets downloaded to the iPhone, and I noticed that the checked items add up to much, much more than is on the iPhone, even though I've downloaded within the last few weeks and have songs from a few weeks ago on the iPhone. Even so, there are about a hundred fewer songs on the iPhone than are checked in iTunes.

There is no need to install the Torbutton extension in case of problems with lost bookmarks.
You can skip that step if it doesn't apply (you do not have Torbutton in the first place).
You can uninstall that extension via Tools > Add-ons > Extensions
