Cant add or delete any contacts :(

Hi,
I am trying to delete some old phone numbers but when I go into Contacts there is no 'Edit' button which my old 3S had. I can only add contacts if I use the keypad to type a number in and then touch the +contact icon otherwise there is also no 'add or +' in my contacts either. I am using a new iphone 4S and when I first plugged it in to sync it just updated it with my contacts from my last phone so I never really noticed til i wanted to delete a number.
Is there anyway i can fix this without having to restore the phone? I have also looked in the user guide which says there should be an 'edit' button in contacts.
Any ideas?

Do you have iCloud turned on? I have read that can cause a problem with editing contacts. If you do, try cycling it on and off once and see if that fixes things.

Some things to check:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings

I've searched to no avail for this problem. Similar posts but none that tell me what to do. I can't add or delete any bookmarks on my iPad 2 running the newest iOS. I know how it's suppose to work, it just isn't working!

It started after the major update to iOS 7.
I can't believe that this is so hard to do. It's just not letting me. I can add a bookmark to the home screen just fine, just not in a bookmarks folder anywhere I try.
I've used Apple products since 2001 and have always loved how intuitive they are. But the Safari browser since iOS 7 has been the worst I've experienced. At least right in the beginning after that update.
I'd really appreciate any help that doesn't just tell me how it's suppose to work...I know that.
My iPad 4 is not affected with the problem and works as it should.

Contacts file, cant add or delete!

Ive a curve 8900 one year old, had a few small problems with it fixed by the 02 shop but now I cant add or edit contacts, but I can delete (which doesnt help) even from a text or call I cant save their number, have updated software recently but it didnt help. Have 2 week waiting list to see a guru at the shop. Any ideas?

If the Edit button is missing and you have enabled iCloud, check Settings>iCloud, set Contacts to ON.

Cant add or delete in Address Book

Address Book has become very weird. I cannot add or permanently delete cards or edit the existing cards. When I select a card, the edit button is unavailable (grayed out) as are New Card, New Group etc in the File list. I have used Edit to delete cards but they reappear when Address Book is reopened. I am working in OS 10.4.7, Address Book 4.0.4. I am using Missing Sync 2.5.0 b2 to synch my PDA. I have not made any changes in Address Book in some time so have no idea when this started. Have tried restarts, trashing Address Book.plist, I would reinstall Address Book but can’t find it in Mac downloads.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas?

There could be some corruption in the AB database.
Turn of syncing (I never trust it!).
File/Back up address book (so we can recover if everything goes wrong)
Select all your contacts
File/Export vCards
Quit AB
Find and delete ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data
Restart AB
File/Import/vCards
Hopefully, anything bad in the database will be cleared out by this, possibly at the expense of one or two contacts.
Another thing to try is to check your fonts. AB uses LucidaGrande and Helvetica; use Font Book to verify that they are OK.

Cant add or delete brushes

i cant seem to add or remove brushes in cs5 is it them same way as cs4? go into program files,adobe,photoshop,presets brushes then add or is diffrent ? someone please exaplain

can u use brushes from cs4 because there in my folder but there not showing up and its making me very mad i dont know wats going on. the brushes are the right files type and its showing tht they are the right type cuz they have the little brush picture next to them and i delete the brushes tht i didnt want and went on photoshop and its showing the same brushes and none of the ones i put in

Music 'frozen' in itunes - cant add or delete music

i recently got a new laptop - so i downloaded itunes..connected my iphone wanting to add music and transfer music to my comp - but all the music is 'frozen' and so not clickable :/
what do i do.
it worked normally on my normal comp.
but not on the laptop.
it can charge on my laptop..just cant do anything with music

iphone can sync with only one computer at a time. You cannot access the music from a different computer. You cannot move music from the iphone to the computer - the music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The iphone is not a storage device ( it does not support disk mode like ipods). You should move your itunes library from your old computer to your new one, before you sync.
In order to sync with the new computer, itunes will erase the current music from the iphone.
You can transfer itunes purchased music. With iphone connected, in itunes click File>Transfer Purchases.
You should really keep a back up of important info/music/pics on an external source.

I cannot delete any contacts from my I phone 4. It is not indicating any delete or edit button for contacts.

I tried to delete some old unnwanted contacts from my I phone. But it does not show the delete or edit option in the contact list page.

My settings are fine. I believe the issue is because there is a typo in the email address to the person I am trying to send the email to. I am trying to open the email to correct typo but every time I try to open the email I get a message saying, "Cannot open email, email is being sent." I also cannot delete this email either.

Can't add or delete any music on my iphone 4S

I plug my iphone into my iMac, where all my music is, and I click on the music I want, and unclick the music I want to change, hit apply and......nothing changes. I've looked up other people's issues and none of their suggestions help at all. I even did a complete restore and then used my iCloud back up to get things baack.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

I just got my first MacBook pro and dedicated an external hard drive for time capsule. I also have a WD 3TB hard drive with all my old files, photos and movies (mostly from a pc). My Mac book pro would not allow me to add or delete any files from this har

This hard drive so I copies all the files (400gb worth) to my time capsule hard drive (WD 3 TB but set up by the Mac book pro). Now I am not sure what I need to do. I wiped the other WD hard drive cleAn on my pc and want to set it up in a way that I can access the files on both a pc and a Mac. If I partition it on my MacBook pro will this work? If I do it do I need to save the file twice on both the pc and Mac partitions or simply by partitioning it the hard drive will ave files in both formats regardless of if it's from a pc or a Mac. X

Welcome to the Apple community.
This is happening because you are both using the same iCloud account, one of you needs to create an account for themselves.
Please note, that whilst you need to use separate iCloud accounts, you can still continue to use the same iTunes account, thereby keeping access to your shared music, movies, books and apps.
