i reinstalled itune and know i cant add movies or songs to my iphone. but i can do it to my ipod
any body know what i can do????

Some things to check:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings

It sounds like you and your husband are sharing an Apple ID, a version of iTunes on your computer, or both.
I recommend you share neither your Apple ID nor your version of iTunes. You can still share music by using Store > Authorize this computer and enter your spouse's information. But it sounds llike this sharing is the cause of your problem.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

The iPhone like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in the library to which it is synced.
If you wish to sync to a new computer, the first step is to copy or move the iTunes media library from the old computer to the new computer. This can be done via the network or by using an external hard drive.
Once the library has been moved, simply sync to the new computer.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases. FIle>Devices>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

iTunes will not transfer non-purchased media from you phone to your computer (only purchased media). Non-purchased songs only sync one way: from computer to phone. If you want to transfer non-purchased music from your phone to your mac you will have to purchase 3rd party software such as Touch Copy. You should first uninstall iTunes completely.
This is not an easy task!
