CANT ADD VIDEOS TO ITUNES!!!???

i try going file, add folder then hit my video folder and i try just dragging and dropping and i gave all the videos small names and yet itunes only puts in 1/4 of the vids im trying to put into my itunes and on top of that sometimes it will only add like the first 6seconds of a half hour long vid or just first 5 min.
all the files im trying to put into itunes are mpeg but even if im putting the wrong fil types into itunes i should still be able to convert them in itunes in the advanced menu. so what's going on? there a bunch of other people i know having this problem and none of them know what to do

Everyting was perfect earlier. Used to convert all my videos into iPhone mp4 format using Any Video Converter - then add it to my iPhone 3GS. But last few days, I cant add video files to iTunes. and the iTunes doesnt even specify the reason except for that "files are not supported"
    Everything is fine.
    -They are the right format
    -Quicktime is updated
-I have tried simply dragging them into the 'movie' library
-I have tried going to file<add file to library
Nothing works, has anyone else had this problem and found a way around it?
    Any and all help appreciated.

In addition to Mike's suggestions,  you only have 4GB of RAM and Mavericks does use more RAM than other versions. You may also want to look at the apps that startup on login and the possiblity of upgrading RAM.

  • Just downloaded 10.7 and it won't let me add videos to iTunes.

Just downloaded 10.7 and it won't let me add videos to iTunes. Previous version worked fine. I tried to "add file to library" nothing. I've tried to drag the file....nothing. Just a red circle with a line through it. Any suggestions?

These sound like interrelated problems that are probably system errors/issues on your computer.   I see you are already pursuing them here  https://discussions.apple.com/message/16835461#16835461

I am unable to add videos into itunes?

We will need to know full details about your issue -  format of the videos, version of iTunes, and what exactly happens when you try to add them - before anyone can be of any help. If you're referrring to iTunes on your computer, you may be more likely to get a quick and useful suggestion if you ask the iTunes forum appropriate for your computer platform (Mac or Windows).
    Regards.

  • Updated to the newest itunes and i now cant add videos from my computer

So i just updated my iTunes to the newest one, and now for some reason I can't add the videos I have on my computer onto iTunes. I re-downloaded it, repaired it, and yet still nothing. The files are .mov so I know they can play on iTunes but for some reason I cant add them.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
For device connectivity issues see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, and TS4062: iTunes 10.5 and later: Troubleshooting iTunes Wi-Fi syncing.

  • I can't add videos to itunes in windows xp & windows 7

I'm using windows 7, I cant add the vdeos to the library of tje itunes. There isn't any problems wtih video formats, 'cos this videos i had in my iphone 4s before I used windows xp. First time when I used windows XP i can add videos, but then i can't add

There are settings that you can set when the ipod is connected to itunes that you can set on how the tv shows and movies load onto the ipod.
    1. Open itunes and connect the ipod to the computer.
    2. Find one of the tv shows that are not moving over to the ipod and double click on it to play it. If the computer is not authorized to play the content, a window will open for you to put in your account name and password to authorize the computer.
if your ipod is set to automatically sync with itunes, follow these steps
    3. once the video or movie plays on the computer. Click on the ipod on the left hand side of itunes so that you see a summary page on the right side of itunes.
    4. at the top of the summary page, you will see a row of tabbs, click ont he tv shows tab.
    5. then select how you want the tv shows to load onto the ipod.
If your ipod is set to manually manage
    3. drag and drop the tv shows or movies onto the ipod on the left side bar of itunes.
Here is a link to an article on the apple support website that will help you out.

  • Cant add song into iTunes, the song used to be in iTunes

hello, i used to have many song in my iTunes library and they can be played. ok, here let me define songA..songZ that are the songs in my iTunes
today, when i am listening songA, i want to listen songB, so i double click on songB in iTunes but it just response nothing and stop! i try to double click it again, still nothing happen. but when i double click on songA, it works(i can listen songA).
so i think that's something wrong with my library, i delete songB from library, then, i drag(also try add from the menu botton) songB into library again, it DOESNOT work!! i cant add songB to my library. what's the problem???
songB had already been in my iTunes for some months, i was fine and playable. but now, i cant listen it using iTunes.
songB is working fine using other mp3-player. i tried to reinstall iTunes, but it doesnt help.
there is more than one song that have the same problem! songB is just an example
hope i made the question clear
so i am looking for help.
    p.s. i am using WinXPSP2, iTunes 7.0.2.16
again, those song i cant play and add now was okay before.

I have the same problem. As soon as I edit a song's ID3 tag via windows XP, iTunes does not add the song back to my library. There is no error notification or something like that, I simply select the song through "add song to library", and than nothing happens.
The annoying thing is that I edited a lot of my music this way, and now I can't play any of these songs through itunes. This has never been a problem before, but since itunes 7 all this crap started. I have removed libray files etc., but nothing seems to help. Furthermore, all these songs still play with other media players.
Guesss we simply have to pray and hope that everything is solved with the next itunes update,
    Gregorius

    Anyone who's got a clue?
    Pleaseeee!!!!

2MB are really small - maybe conversion failed due to whatever reason.
Mabe there are better converters available ... ?!
Try a google search for something like "video convert itunes ipod" - as I own only own some macs I'm not aware what kind of applications are available when using a Windows PC.
    Sorry.
Or just try repost asking for free video converters. - I suppose there will be lots of helpful answers and links from other PC Users.
