Cant backup - Please help!

Hi,
I am unable to backup my computer. I usually use Carbon Copy Cloner but it doesnt work now, it freezes in applications.
I then tried SuperDuper, this also stopped. The timer carried on going but then amount copied number didnt go up for about 3 hours. It was the unregistered version, i dont know if this makes any difference?
Can anyone recomend a Back-up application that will clone my entire hard-drive to my firewire hard drive?

My system has become quite slugish but that is probably because i have only 768mb ram. The main reason i want to reinstall tiger is because of the problems i am having with my logitch keyboard and mouse.
I have the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX and also a Logitech MX 1000 Laser Cordless Mouse and i want to use the keyboard from the Desktop MX and the MX1000 mouse but the only way i can get it to work with the custom buttons is by unplugging the mouse starting up and plugging it in when the computer has started up.
Any ideas?

Cant login please help

Running power mac, latest version of Tiger
When it boots and login screen appears I cant. The mouse and keyboard work fine, but the computer will not click the user names to bring up the password box. When I mouse over the login names its like they are not there. So I cant use the computer at all. I tried keyboard also and it wont work. Same results booting up in safe mode. Its like it gets to the point of login and locks up. Please help

I can't delete my icloud backup, please help

i want to delete my 4s backup on icloud, because it occupied too many storage
but a message which said "this backup cannot be deleted because it is being used to restore another device, or a backup is currently in progress" always pop out and stop me from deleting it. i' ve been tring to delete it for the whole week, but can't figure out a way to solve this. i never use icloud to restore my devices, and i tried log out my account from my 4s, still couldn't work. please help!!

There is no way out.
Restart the restore procedure and make sure you are connected to the wall power adapter and have Internet connection.
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
At the end it will ask whether you want to restore, choose iCloud backup.

IPhone5 won`t restore backup. please help

Hello everybody. I just got my iphone5 replaced by apple a couple of days ago due to a few issues I had with my phoone and I have backed it up on my hp laptop before going to Apple and then I tried restoring the back-up to the new phone but it will not restore the backup, I just get this message after the back-up restoration " The settings for your Iphone have been restored.Please leave your iPhone connected.It will appear in the iTunes window after it restarts." and then a countdown from 10 begins and the message dissapears and my iPhone is basically set up as a new phone. Can somebody please help me and explain to me what am i doing wrong? I have restored a backup many times before successfully but this time it doesnt seem to be working. Thank you in advance for your help!

You won't be able to. Here's why:
Since both your phones are new, they likely had the newest iOS version installed. For AT&T it's 4.3.3; for Verizon it's 4.2.8.
Since the Verizon phone has a LOWER firmware number than AT&T phone, you cannot restore a Verizon phone (older firmware) from an AT&T (newer firmware) backup. You could, however, restore an AT&T phone from a Verizon backup since the AT&T phone has the same, or more recent firmware update.
No way around this. If you search this forum, you'll see many similar posts.
If you used your phone as intended, you shouldn't lose much data at all, other than perhaps some application data. Photos are stored on your computer in iPhoto (unless you didn't do as recommended and upload photos taken by the iPhone into iPhoto), contacts should be synched with Address Book so they should be on your computer. Your iTunes media (videos, music, podcasts, apps) should still be in iTunes ready to be synched onto your new phone.

ITunes wont open, cant uninstall, cant upgrade, cant reinstall. please help

with those symptoms, let's try the following procedure.
first, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. if it goes, good. if it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to itunes.
next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. use it to clear any existing itunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.

next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of leftover itunes and quicktime program files:

now try another itunes install. does it go through properly this time?

If you don't know your rescue email address (you won't be able to view/change/add a rescue email address until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

The e-mails just give you status updates on the progress of your activation - You don't need them for codes or anything...
If I were you I would just check the phone every now and again... Just so you know, mine took 6 hours to become active.

Ipod touch not responding blank white screen cant reset please help?

I Just got the new a new ipod touch which was working fine. I began updating to new apple software and while doing so I lost internet connection and ipod was unplugged. Now all I get is a blank white or green screen even after reset. The ipod won't even register when plugged into computer or itunes. What can I do?? If I wait until the battery dies and run a restore will it work?? If so How do I get the games back I purchased recently? Please help I'm pretty new to all this.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Can't Connect to My Time Capsule Backups, Please Help!!!

I have been using Time Machine/Time Capsule to back my data up for over a year. I bought a new MacBook Pro this morning. I did not want to use Migration Assistant to transfer everything over because there were many bugs and corruptions on my old disk and was scared that would all be transferred to my new machine. It was time for a fresh start.
I set up my new computer and transferred most of the files I needed via a flash drive. I am now trying to set up my MacBook Pro to connect to my Time Capsule backup disk via Time Machine, but once I enter Time Machine it does not allow me to go "back in time" to see all of my previous backups and restore points. There are some really important files I am trying to get to, but this computer isnt connecting to the Time Capsule backups. The old computer has already been completely reformatted, but it is still able to access the Time Capsule backups.
I have done some internet research and learned that Time Machine uses a computer's ethernet MAC address to allow access. There are some codes posted on various websites that allow to alter what Time Machine thinks you MAC address is so that you can access your backups with a new computer/different logic board. None of these Terminal workarounds worked for me. The Genius Bar and Apple Care couldn't help either.
I am hoping somebody can help me out. I understand I can use my old computer to get into Time Machine and retrieve what I need then transfer those to the new machine. But there must be a way to allow a new computer to fully access Time Capsule backups, but curiously, I can't find it. I rather have my new computer have full access because I am selling the old laptop and so I wont be able to use it to access my backups any longer.
Sorry for the long explanation, but I hope that gives someone all the facts required to both understand what I am saying and help me fix the problem.

Right now it is just empty because I have unmounted and disconnected my Time Capsule. I'm trying a low-tech work around to see if this works, but much rather do it the "right way."
What I am doing is this:
(1) Use Migration Assistant to copy everything from the Time Capsule to the new machine (this is exactly what I was trying to avoid initially). Migration Assistant has been copying files for about 5 hours now (still not sure what is going to happen).
(2) Create a full backup on Time Capsule with my MacBook Pro now that it has everything from the Time Capsule on it.
(3) Do a fresh install of Snow Leopard.
(4) Hopefully, have the fresh start on my machine I wanted, but still have access to at least one archived copy of my old computer and files/folders.
Does this make sense? Basically, the new machine does not allow me to access the old backups. So I am handicapping the machine now by reverting to my old settings via Migration Assistant, will back that up, then start all over from scratch again but hopefully have the peace of mind that my files are not gone because I will at least have that one copy of all my old copies in a Time Capsule backup that the new machine can access.

Time machine cannot complete backups - please help

I hope somebody can help me - my Time Machine has been unable to complete backups for about six weeks or so.
Having read some useful information on the support forums yesterday, I verified both my internal HD and my external disk. The external disk appears fine, yesterday my internal disc needed some 'minor repairs'. I booted from the Leopard disk, but could not find where to repair disk so simply verified disk again and it was apparently fine.

Ok so, im trying to update my ipod 4th generation on 4.3.5 iOS To iOS 6 But it wont work. When i am in itunes it says Itunes could not contact the ipod software update server because you are not connected to the internet. Please check your internet connection and try again. BUT I AM CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET FOR SURE. I Dont have it blocked on my firewall or anything as far as i know and i think i have the latest version of itunes but i am downloading it again to be sure as of now. I dont know what to do.
