Cant Browse Over wifi using opera
i have problem over LAN while using opera mini in my x3-02. whenever iam trying to browse with opera over wifi its saying to review my network settings i dont know what is the problem. i downloaded another version but that also doesn't work. please help me. i can use wlan in built in mobile browser.
TRY THIS---------------
1.setting-->configuration--->personal setting --->delete all(press &hold)
2.options-->add new-->web-->save some address (my option:-google.com)-->save
3.back to config setting --->default config setting -->select 'personal setting' here
thats it 'U R Done'- open opera and start surfing now u r able to select Wi-Fi

I've e72 for few weeks. In general,I'm satisfied with what I get. A major exception is a strange
resets I've almost allways during browsing over WiFi. Browser isn't an issue,it happens with both Nokia browser and Opera. It doesn't happen when I connect with mobile provider GSM.
When I run email client over WiFi it works perfectly,well except it restarted once or twice when tried to handle large html messages with big attachments.
Phone OS / firmware is a last version.

Probably your phone memory is full and your access points are overflowing. Do not store external data (like music, photos, videos etc. ) in your phone memory. And check whether your access points are full and delete unwanted access points. For this go to Settings >> Connectivity >> Access Points.
Before attempting to delete access points free your memory and make space.

Slow streaming over wifi using ipad
Why is streaming over wifi slower than over cellular connection? Other devices don't have the same issue.
generally we all think and expect wifi will be faster than a cell connection. But that will not always be the case. A good uncongested LTE runs pretty fast.
But the wifi should be fast enough that you wouldn't notice any issues unless:
You are using a public wifi spot where the signal is metered. Where I work, they clamp the wifi for guests at 250k.
The wifi cannot run any faster than your internet connection. Is it clean?
Recent stoires here are explaining how verizon and Comcast have been allowing you tube and netflix feeds to become overcongested, in an effort to extract $$ from them for the privilange of sending you the signal.
a good place to start is to get a speed app - like Speed test (there are a bunch in the store) and see what speed your wifi is delivering.
One thing that is almost certain, your wifi is a whole lot cheaper than your cell signal! -
Hubby and I both have the iphone 3gs. When we try to play games from the app store and play peer to peer we can never join a game. Even just trying to direct connect over our home network doesnt work. Sometimes the other player will flash on the screen for a second then disappear. I have been trying to get this working for a week now. We have different static ips on our iphones so thats ok. We can both surf fine over the internet using wifi too.
On our previous iphones we could 2 player games over wifi fine.
Has anyone got a clue what might be happening?My wife and I had the same problem. I discovered going into Airplane Mode then turning on our Local WiFi connection works great. But you must stay in airplane mode while playing. We have 2 3Gs's also, and we haven't changed our local network from when we had 2 of the original 2G iPhones. And the 2G iPhones worked well without turning on airplane mode. Apparently 3Gs seems to have Radio issues. Hope that helps.

Can't wake Lion over wifi (or ethernet) using iPad and home sharing.
I've upgraded to Lion and everything's fine apart from one problem: using my iPad to access home shared iTunes content on my mac no longer works when my mac is asleep.
That's a change in behaviour from Snow Leopard; I used to be able to sleep my mac and then wake it over wifi using either my iPad or iPhone to access all of my home shared libraries. The mac screen used to light up for ten seconds and then go dark again, but it served me the files.
Lion seems to go into a deeper sleep which it can't be woken from. If I attempt to wake my mac from my iPad within about ten minutes of putting my mac to sleep then home sharing seems to work and lets me use the home share libraries, but if I leave it any longer than that then the mac seems to fall into a coma and can't be woken. The weird thing is that I still see a "shared library" folder on my iPad, but when I click on it nothing happens. I think my Time Capsule is listening for wifi access and issuing the magic packet to the mac, but the mac just ain't listening.
I'm using a Time Capsule in bridge mode from an ADSL modem and I've accepted a TC firmware update last week and I'm on lion 10.7.3. I've tried using Ethernet to connect the mac to the TC (and temporarily disabled the wifi connection) but that still doesn't work. Also, note I'm NOT suffering from the problem that 10.7.3 seems to be giving a few other people - my mac reconnects to my wifi just fine when I wake it up manually. For the record, This was an upgrade, so there's still a tick in "wake on network" in power settings and home sharing on iTunes is still configured the same as it was before.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can get home sharing to work when my Lion mac is asleep please?

The reworked release of the Combo came available the 2-nd or 3-rd of Feb, if you downloaded 10.7.3 complete after that date it will be OK already, no need to instal the Combo. But you can see the exact number of 10.7.3 in System Information/ Software panel: it should be 11D50b.....

BUT even if it worked after you replaced the kext, I advise strongly not to read in an old kext over a new one, that may give other issues (you observed one already: Airdrop)... I hope you backed up the Lion one... for example such "replacing" was done in one (lousy) tool called TrimEnabler (to install Trim on a non-Apple SSD in the SnowLeopard OS): it replaced the whole kext. I read that there is a new version for Lion that just replaces the text piece that regards the identification for the Apple SSD's.... I do not dare to use such methods.... I advise to read the kext and compare the two (SL and Lion) and perhaps find a way to just replace the one string that is different (be sure it is precisely the same lenth in caracters)... BTW: after every update of Lion you have to do it again probably. Keep searching for a better way to solve your problem.
Did you do the firmware update of the TC and Extreme already?
BTW: there are two Airport Utilities for Lion: Airport Utility 5.6 and Airport Utility 6, the 5.6 is the "old" visual but in the new one 6 you can not change as many settings; if you want them both, change the name of the one you already have by putting the version number at the end of its name in Utilities, and install the other one, it will be installed additional not over.

Verizon messages app doesn't work over wifi....
Hello, all,
Until recently, I used the verizon messages app to send/receive texts over wifi on my gs3 when I had no cellular/data reception. Now it will only send/rec when there's cell reception.
But...the app does still work over wifi onmy galaxy tab 2 7.0.
Why could this be? Did a recent app update break txt over wifi for the gs3?

Airplane mode ON, Wifi ON, No network mode is available in Airplane mode. So...only wifi is available. When I try to send a text with only wifi available I get "Network not available. The message will be sent when the network is available"
BUT...On my Galaxy Tab 2 (non-verizon), This DOES work. On the tab 2 with only wifi available, I CAN send text messages using Verizon Messages.
So....again...
On Galaxy Tab 2 with only WiFi available...texting with Verizon messages DOES work.
On Galaxy S3 with only WiFi available...texting with Verizon messages DOES NOT work.
Please fix Verizon Messages to work over WiFi using Galaxy S3.

Unable to browse internet over wifi on my iphone
I am unable to browse internet on my iphone 4 and ipad3 simultaneously over wifi.
Both iphone and ipad show connected over wifi but only my ipad can connect to internet. Along with ipad I have no problem in connecting laptop and my other android phone over wifi and browse but iphone won't.
I am using talktalk broadband. Please helpDoes your phone receive a valid ip address from your router?
Does it work fine when connected to other wifi networks? If so, then I'd say your router is the culprit. -

In order to check my voicemail i turn my celluler data.and i went back voicemail page , it shows all voicemail call number are over lapped .And when i select any voicemail number in that list , it browsing like white spot . i cant download apps throgh wifi on my iphone however when i connect to cellular data it starts downloading. then what is wrong over wifi , i tried reset network setting but i didnt help
Definitely sounds like an issue with your Wi-Fi network. Do any other devices on the network have similar issues? Is it an issue only with downloading apps? You can check by trying to load a website in Safari.
I would try turning your Wi-Fi router off for 1 minute, and back on again.
After doing that, disconnect and re-join the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and try downloading an app again. -
I have an iPhone 3GS, and realized I do most of my SMS/MMS messaging at home, when connected to my WiFi. Then I began to think, if I'm using the messaging app over WiFi, can the SAME app (which, personally I like much better than the third party apps) be installed on the iPad 2 (which I'm still waiting from back order)?

SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.
"Dumb" phones or phones not in the smart category that don't have internet access in any shape, form, or fashion can exchange SMS/MMS.
Since SMS/MMS (a poor man's email with cell phones since it is very limited) is a cash cow for carriers and very profitable, why wouldn't cell phone carriers be interested in including SMS/MMS as an additional option (and of course at an additional expense) with a data plan only for the iPad? They certainly are interested in it but they can't since SMS/MMS is exchanged over the same network as calls.

I utilize WIFI sync to sync all my information....however the photos don't sync wirelessly...is that because I have version iPhoto '09 8.1.2 ? if I upgraded can I wirelessly sync over wifi or can you only use Photo Stream to synch photos and you can't do it over wifi sync?

How does it work using apps over wifi?
So ive seen several apps well preaty much all requering that you ahve a data plan. So say i have data active at my provider, will i be able to use live messenger and facebook over wifi or will they only use gprs/edge?
My problem is that my data is freaking expensive as soon as you use data they charge you 2 bucks but after that you can use as much as you want that day. For EDGE well we never did built a fully edge system in sweden cause 3G came almost the same and are superior to edge so all data have to go over GPRS which is slow.Hi,

That depends on whether the audiobook is an audible.com download or not. Audibooks ripped from CDs work fine on either generation Shuffle. -
IPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.2 uses Cellular over WiFi.
I updated my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.0.2. But there is still a small amount of data coming through Cellualr over WiFi while the iPhone connects to WiFi and I am not actively using the phone. I am having this problem since Day one, and apparently iOS 6.0.2 does not help. Does anybody have this problem?
I appreciate your reply. Below is the record of data usage after I updated the phone to iOS 6.0.2. I am not using the phone during this time. And even if the phone is plugged-in (as suggested in this community), I have the same issue.
