Cant burn regular cds I can only burn only cd rw
I use to be able to burn on regular cds but now I cant burn unless its on a cd rw. The people I am making disc for their stero wouldn't play the cd rw.
iTunes will convert on the fly for audio CDs, but 20 or so is the maximum.
If your car's CD player can read an MP3 CD, you can get about 150 songs on each CD.
iTunes will not burn songs to an MP3 CD unless you first convert them to MP3 format. You can convert them and leave the original songs unchanged. This explains how to convert your songs:

I cant video/audio chat, i can only 'text' chat
Hello,
So I have used iChat (version 4.0.9) in the past without any problems, but a few days ago when I went to video chat, like I have many times in the passed, I was unable to (the same thing happened when I tried an audio chat.) So I thought the problem was my computer so I restarted it, which did not help and then I reset and unplugged my modem, while my computer was off, which also did not help with my problem. I have another computer in my home which I have been able to successfully text and audio chat with on iChat, but it does not have a camera therefor I can not check the video capabilities.
When I invite someone to a video or an audio chat it sends the invitation but after the person accepts the invitation we both get a notice saying there was a communication error. But when the other person try to video or audio chat with someone, they have no problems.

Error 8 normally refers to a Port issue somewhere.
First Of all check the MAc Firewall
System Preferences > Security > Firewall
Use either Allow All or Allow Specific Apps.
If using Specific apps add iChat to the List (When iChat is started iChatAgent should also get added by the System)
In the Advanced Button make sure Stealth is not Enabled.
If you modem routes or you have a router then check how the ports iChat needs are opened here.
If the Mac gets it's IP via DHCP it is possible the IP it was using (Previously given) has changed - If you used Port Forwarding to open the Ports, these may not point to the IP the computer currently has.
In the Log the Buddy is coming back in subsequent repeats on a random port
(where it reads rip = Remote IP = Buddy and these move from port 16402)
There is no PING listed (I am not sure you even get this far) But make sure your Routing device is not Blocking Pings.

After upgrading to IOS 7, I can only transfer songs to my iPhone 5 that I bought on iTunes. I cannot transfer songs I burned from CD. When I drag them to my phone in iTunes, my phone appears to be updating, but the songs don't show up there.
I'm using IOS 7.1.2 and iTunes 11.3.0.54. WIndows 7.

Un-sync all your music to remove it from the device, then restart (hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go). Now re-sync your music. -
I have burned pictures to a dvd off of my iMac. When I try to view them on my macbook I can only look at one picture at a time. Is there anyway to view as a slideshow? Thanks!

Mel, Sure, although that is "copying," not "burning." It is easily done, as follows:
Insert the USB stick into your computer, and open it up so it looks like a folder. Highlight the songs you want in iTunes, and drag them into the folder.
If you normally run iTunes in full screen mode, make it smaller so that you can do the drag. -

I made sure all were panned to the center, but when i listen to it on a cd or on itunes i can only hear a majority of the parts through the left speaker. the part that comes through the right speaker is the looped drum beat. So if anyone has any suggestions or something i just missed please let me know. thanks.

After video encoding, i get a message saying error in burning process, it doesn't even attempt to burn to dvd. i can only get .mov files to burn. is their a way to burn higher quality video?
craigNope, data DVDs are useful for archiving or transferring to another computer, but won't play in a regular DVD player.
If want a playable DVD and the it is an iMovie production, you don't need to do any file conversion. Try this:
-quit iMovie and open iDVD
-use the Finder to locate your iMovie project and right-click/Show Package Contents
-find the "native" Quicktime version of your iMovie by opening the Shared Movies folder; then open the iDVD folder.
-import this to iDVD by dragging it into the menu area (not a drop zone). Let it encode and set up your menus, etc.

OK Hello I have been buying the new videos from itunes
Before they sold seperrately ( wenh were sold Along with albums )
they could Be burned to CD and when In a cd player would still play Music only
but now that Ive bought them individaully I cant burn them in such a way
this is not consistant with what HAS been done and Obviously its not

Well the video quality aint thgat great ........I just purchased about 8 Music Videos using the new iTunes 6.0 application, and was wondering if these files can be played back on my PSP?
I noticed that the file format has a .m4v format and Sony's PSP plays .mp4 files....so can the iTunes Videos be converted to play on this sort of device?
I don't always have my laptop around, and simply would like to whip out my PSP for games...and when I get tired of that...be able to listen to and watch Music Videos.
What's up with all this proprietary crap...there should be some sort of standardization...and allow user who purchase (really tiny videos) to be able to play them back on (really tiny devices)
After all the Videos do not really scale-up to full-size to well...for $1.99....I guess we get what we pay for!!
I forgot to mention I already have a Photo iPOD (my second generation purchase)...and can't keep buying this units everytime they come up with something new!! (there should be some sort of trade-up or firmware upgrade...instead of scrapping these devices and having to purchase a new one) -

Why can't you do this? There's plenty of third-party software that can do the job. Download a few from
MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and try them out before choosing one to purchase. -
I am not good with computers. I am trying to get my iTunes onto this new laptop but it says I am only allowed to have it on 5 computers and I must take it off one to ut it on this new laptop. Problem is, apart from my iPad, I have lost one laptop and two have been broken beyond repair so I am unable to take it off! Anyone any ideas? I have tried to get iTunes support but cant get past the "date of purchase" as I can only guess when I bought my ipod (2009)

You can only authorise the songs you purchase from the iTunes Store to play on five computers.
You can download and install iTunes (the iTunes programme) onto as many computers as you wish.
Two different things.
Assuming therefore, that your problem is that you have authorised five computers, but now no longer have some of them, you need to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise the computers you still have.
To de-authorise your computers, go to your account in the iTunes Store and look for the Deauthorise All button. -

Try rebooting your iPad and see if they reappear.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If they still do not show up, make sure hat you don't have content restrictions set that could prevent certain apps from showing up on your iPad. Settings>General>RestrictionsAllowed Content.
if you still don't see them, connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and you should see them in the iPad mini screens on the right side of iTunes after the iPad has been selected under "devices" and when you are in the apps pane of iTunes.
