Cant change call package on-line

Hi
Having decided to cancel my BTB I was persuaded to sign for another year.  In the process I lost my anytime time phone package but was assured I could simply re-add the package. 
I used to be able to add and amend packages online no problem but since I renewed everytime I try using the change package on the web site I get the following response:
We're sorry...
You are currently unable to downgrade your BT Total Broadband option. To choose another BT Total Broadband option and order please follow this link.........
I don't want to downgrade my BTB rather I want to add anytime to my phone.  Anyone had similar issues.

Welcome to the forum.

  • Online Security - Changing Call Packages

    Hello BT Forum,
    Just a quick question.
    It seemed pretty easy for me to gain access to details of my Mother's call package; I was after was the expiry date of the current contract.  All it needed was her telephone number, postcode and a tick in the box. 
    So what is to stop kindly me or some nefarious person from changing my Mother's call package without her knowledge?
    I find it perturbing that access to these details was so easy.

    I did use the live chat facility but the BT agent was unable to assist - they do not have access to the full account details.  I also tried their telephone call centre but their operator did not have access either, he suggested that I contact their 'new/retention customer' division.  There I found out the details of the contract and immediately thereafter the BT Agent tried to persuade me to 'upgrade' the service and that it would be 'stupid' to cancel the current contract.  
    It seems to me a rather bizarre process to go through to get what is in effect a 'date,'  which could easily be written on the monthly bill that is sent.  Again I was somewhat amazed at the ease with which I was able to obtain the information but then I do know more details; and perhaps all I was after was an end date.
    However, after a little searching I found that rolling contracts are no longer offered by BT (web link noted below).  I was advised that the terms of any existing rolling contract is maintained on a 28 day rolling contract.  That this contract can be cancelled at any time without penalty.  This is the information I need as I am preparing my Mother to be connected to broadband. 
    So I have the information I need to make a decision about broadband packages.
    However, what does not help at this stage is the bombardment of BT advertising literature promoting their Sports Channel with unlimited broadband.  I am sure that such a service will appeal to many but to my seventy year old Mother, such a package offers little benefit or incentive.

    My first post, i hope this isnt going to be the norm.
    as said, i cant view my call package or add ons etc.
    all i get is ...

    to be honest, im fed up with calling the 0800 number to eventually only to speak to someone , in India I assume, who doesnt seem to know what they are doing....ive rang 4 times by the way...so for this problem i thought I would try here first.

  • Cant change in call volume

    Hi,
    i cant change my default in-call volume (default value is maximum).
    i tried many of volume manager apps, in their setting, in-call volume is fine ( fine for me, is 2 of 5 ),
    but when income new call, in-call volume, set to highest.
    i do upgrade to last update, turning off'on, factory reset and ... but my problem resist.
    help me plz.

    I've just ordered a new phone package from BT which includes line rental.
    The activation date isn't until 28th March which is fine but do i need to cancel my old phone package and line rental with sky?

    I would at least notify your current supplier that your leaving and tell them what date your new service is estimated to be activated.

    you can change package using SE03 ,it is central.
    Simple example ,you have ABAP Program
    Goto SE03 ->select change object direct entries -> click on execute button
    Select first check box -> enter program name -> execute -> now select Line called R3TR  PROG   Program name -> click on
    object directory  ,Now you are able to change Package.
    You can do other things like Function group,table ,data element ,form and so on

  • Changing Vision Package

    I called BT today to change my vision viewing pack from TV Unlimted to TV Essential, Im am out of contract. I was unimpressed to be told that to change the package - ie down from £12.50 to £4.00 a month I HAVE to recontract my Infiity line for at least 12 months!!!!
    I advised I didnt want to re sign a new contract at the moment and was told that the pack cannot be changed until I recontract!
    So these TV packs are not very flexible at all - Not happy that I cannot change a viewing pack. Anyone else had this?

    And you are correct. It isn't true and the CSA was talking rubbish. The Vision service is totally unconnected to your BB contract.
    Contact the Mods, they'll sort this for you.

  • Strange download size of on calling packaged stored procedure in VB6

    Hi,
    I tried to use VB6 to call oracle stored procedure with ref cursor as output parameter under a package in 10g database (10.1.03). Oracle client uses windows 9.2 / 10.1.02 (Oracle OLEDB Provider) . I found that when the package size increases(> 1000 lines codes), the data size transfer from database to VB client also increases. I try to trap the binary data flow between VB6 and database when calling packaged stored procedure. I found that VB6(or oracle client ??) will first download package spec then execute the requested stored procedure. This may explain the cause of increasing size.
    However, this large download size for calling only one of the procedure will make my application run slowly when my application uses the package much. How can I solve this problem ? Does this relate to oracle client(p.s. this problem disappear when using Microsoft OLEDB Provider)?

    You can use a wrapper to get compiled code and if it's 10g you can do even more by putting it in a library.
    OLEDB from VB6 still using Oracle 'Client' as you call Oracle NET.

  • My calling plan and line rental are not shown in M...

    When I look in My BT at 'My Services' under Phone, it shows Unlimited Weekend Plan - correct.
    There is no mention of the Anytime Calls package that I am actually paying extra for, although this does show up on my previous bills. There is also no mention of the Line Rental Saver package that has also been paid for.

    The two telephone companies I use (no names) are probably equally awful for their not giving an accurate picture of what they do before putting a corporate hand straight into my bank account. The obvious inference is that they are dishonest which would, I might think, impact on their image and sales. What I have learnt to do is to complain immediately when there is an unexpected charge. People who operate by stealth usually withdraw the hand pretty smartly when they are challenged.

  • Transfer call from fixed line to BB Z10

    When you transfer calls from fixed line to BB Z10 the device only gives a split second notification of transfer call and then you do not see it any more.
    So it is difficult to see the difference between direct calls and my transfered call from my fixed line.
    Is it possible to keep the notification of transfered call "on screen" when it is dialing?

    The Z10 gives a split second a notification that the incomming phonecall is a transferred call and then shows the phone number of the original caller. Afterwords there is no way to see the differance between the straight calls and the transferred.
    With my old Nokia N8 there was an onscreen "green arrow" notification.
    After searching a little on the web I found out that only the old symbian phones (and some other) had that function.

    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
