Any ideas?
James

If you run the Airport Admin Utility - is it able to "see" and view the configuration of the Airport Express?

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

  • ITunes with Aiport Express on Windows 7 x64

Since I installed Windows 7 x64 RTM, I have had stuttering problems when connecting to an Airport Express to play music. When I only play the audio on my computer, it plays fine. When I connect to an Airport express (either by itself or with multiple connections) is when the problem occurs.
I have tried different network card drivers as well as another network card, and the problem persists. I did not have any issues with Vista SP2 x64.
    System Configuration:
    Windows 7 Home Premium RTM
    Gigabyte AMD780G motherboard
AMD Phenom 9550 (quad core) CPU
    8GB RAM
    750GB HD (mirrored RAID)
    AMD 4850 graphics card (1680x1050)
Onboard gigabit LAN / Linksys PCI gigabit ethernet card
    iTunes 8.2.1.6
    Airport Express firmware 6.3
All wired Gigabit connections (except the 100mbps wired Airport)
    Any ideas?

So I uninstalled all iTunes related software (iTunes, Apple update, Bonjour, etc.), deleted all registry entries for anything Apple related, rebooted, and reinstalled. Same thing happens.
I changed the wireless channel on the airports (even though they are wired and setup as routers, with nothing connecting to either) the problem still persists.
As I mentioned previously, I had no problems with Vista x64. My other machine still has Vista 64 and has no issues. The problem is with the Windows 7 x64 (RTM) machine (which again, worked flawlessly with Vista x64 installed).
So, this is an iTunes not liking Win7 problem.

  • Get 9672 error when adding an Epson 7800 connected to an aiport express

I get a 9672 error when I try to add our epson 7800. It is a rendevous printer connected to an airport express. The aiport express is an extension of our aiport network base which is an airport extream. I am trying to add it to a G5 with osx 10.3.9.
I can add it to our mac minis that run 10.4 with no problem.
I tried deleting the driver and reinstalling the latest driver from epson and deleting the printer preferences.
It shows up as a rendevous printer but when I try and add it I get a 9672 error.

The problem seemed to be that we were printing to two epson Printers, a cx5400 and a 7800.
    I repaired permissions.
Then I deleted the epson print drivers by putting the epson folder which is in the Library folder in the trash. Next I deleted the printer preferences by putting all the apple.print files in the users, home folder, library, preferenced folder in the trash and rebooted.
I had to reinstall the printer driver for the 5400 first, It requires a reboot, then reinstall the 7800 print driver. Then I connected the 7800 from my g5 via usb, added the printer and printed. Next I put the put the 7800 on the Airport Express, added the printer and printed. I then printed to the 5400 and deleted the printer I defined to print via usb from the G5.
Now it works. I tried to install the drivers and add the printers in many different orders and it seemed to be very important that the order above be followed. If I didn't I would get the 9672 error when I tried to add the 7800 or a communications error when I tried to print to the 7800.
Support at epson let me know how to deleted the printer driver.

  • Cant connect itunes tu apple tv

I cant connect apple tv with Itunes, dosent appear in the device list

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
I'm a little confused as to what the problem is, are you saying your MacBook doesn't work with the Apple TV, but the MacBook Pro does.
Have you tried pairing the library on the MacBook or are you just expecting the MacBook to see the Apple TV because the MacBook Pro does.

  • Losing connection between my aiport express and William Sanoma Smart Thermometer  HELP !!

I got a WS Smart thermoneter for xmas and once setup it will work with my iphone or ipad one time then it loses the connection to my airport express. Please help

Sounds like an interferance problem to me. Do you have a cordless phone? You can try changing the channel on the AEBS or enable internet robustness.

  • ITunes cant connect to air port express but iPhone can

The title pretty much says it all. When iTunes tried to connect it just says "connecting to "Josh's Speakers"" and times out after about 60 seconds. It works fine steaming from the iPhone though.
I've tried chaning the name of the air port and enableing/disableing a password on the device but nothing is making a difference.

So, one computer connects but all other devices fail? This is due to user error I'm afraid. You need to switch bridge mode to DHCP&NAT.

  • Trouble connect itunes to airport express

    Hi there,
I am have configured my airport express via the Airport Utility to join my current wireless network and become a speaker Option for itunes.
    stats:
    OSX 10.6.4
    itunes 9.2
    airport express hardware version 6.3
    solid green LED.
I can see the option in itunes and I choose it and either the option is ignored and stay on the internal speakers of my laptop or I get an error that says "An unknown error (-1) occurred while connecting to the remote speaker" and a bunch of strange characters continue on. no option to post a screenshot?
    Any ideas on this problem?
I can access the airport via the "Airport Utility" and all the settings are correct and I have a solid Green LED.
    Cheers,
    Noah

    Hi,
I also get the Korean error message form time to time when trying to get AX to stream iTunes. Its just one of many awesome things that occurs when attempting to use iTunes with an AX in client mode.
    Others include:
    - AX disappearing off Airport utility and not being found with rescan even though green light is on the AX. Unplugging and plugging the AX back in usually makes it reappear.
    - Itunes never finding my remote speakers even though green light is on the AX.
    - Music cutting off and never coming back even though green light is on the AX.
(All latest updates and firmware applied)
Its great when it does work though...
    Cheers

  • Cant connect my second Airport express for AirPlay

    Hi All,
Im trying to have my musiced play throughout the house by using Airplay on 2 Airport Expresses, but so far I have not had much luck.
I have the new 2nd generation Airport Express (AE) downstairs for the Bose system and using the older 1st Gen AE upstairs in the bedroom.
The downstairs 2nd gen works fine streaming to the Bose and I've managed to get the 1st gen airport express to work fine with the speaker unit upstairs but I cannot get iTunes to play across both speakers at the the same time.
Furthermore, when using Airport Utilities I can only 'see' the downstairs Airport Express ...unless i take my MAcBook upstairs and connect to the upstairs AE.
I've tried setting up the upstairs AE both as a stand alone wifi network and to extend the range of the wifi zone .....what am I missing??
I've also check the IP Address and DNS numbers but I dont know enough about those figures to know what means what, but I can tell you that they are different.
P.S. I am aware of the "multiple' tab under the Airplays tab in iTunes, but no luck so far.
Any help greatly appreciated as my master plan to extend music throughout the house is failing so far!

Magically just started working!!!  Posting in here worked.....

  • I cant connect iTunes store?

When I login the iTunes store come out the message ( iTunes store can not connect), but I can login app store. So how I do ?

Are you using the same password?

  • Iphone 4 cant connect itunes

iphone 4 doesnt connect to itunes.. it's charging to plug but not connect to the desktop computer.....

Try connecting either via a different wifi connection, or perhaps try "Hotspot Shield" (which is essentially a proxy).  I found hospot shield instantly fixed the problem, and i could connect to itunes straight away.  From there it was a simple task of restoring from my backup.
Im not sure why my original connection wouldn't connect to itunes, but after troubleshooting everything else it had to be down to the wifi connection.
Best of luck fixing your problem, i've spent 4-5hours pulling my hair out.

  • I cant connect to my airport express

    hi guys,
just opened a brand new airport express. followed the set up process as instructed. now its still on flashing amber and i can't see it with Airport Utility.
    can anyone help, please?

    On your Mac....
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
Click on AirPort on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right of the window
Look for the name of your wireless network in the connection list and make sure that it is at the top of the list. Drag it there if needed
Make sure there is a check mark next to "Remember networks this network has joined"
No other boxes should be checked
Click OK at the lower right of the window. Click Apply
    Close the windows as needed
Can't help on iPad, but the network settings should be generally similar. Please post in the iPad forum if you need more help on this.
