I upgraded this morning and was able to buy tracks. Now I get "Itunes could not connect to iTunes Store. The Network connection timed out. Running Nework Connectivity Test shows everything ok. Apple Sw Update application shows the same behavior. All of my other applications and programs run normally. I can surf web ok.
    Can someone help me?

Search the forums. This is an old problem. For almost everyone it's a Norton issue. I had to upgrade from Norton 360 V1 to V2 to solve the problem. With otehr versions of Norton people have been able to create an entry in the firewall's allowed sites and that fixed it. If nothing else call Norton. They should have had enough calls by now they'll be able to tell you how to fix it for your version of Norton.

this without doing an update. I'm using my phone on Tmobile and running 4.3.3.

  • ITunes store keeps timing out!

This is a new issue. My internet is blazing fast but I can't do anything on iTunes Store without timing out. It will load most of the page but shows broken links for images and any further requests give me a 'timed out' error.

Cable internet into Airport Extreme cabled to 20" iMac.
    OS X 10.5.7 iTunes 8.2.1
I can sync with my iPhone, and iPod. I have no other issues with the function of the program. It doesn't crash at all.
BUT, ... when I click on iTunes store in the left pane, I get nothing, ... nothing, ... nothing, ... then sometimes iTunes will display most of the 'home' page. It will display a broken link instead of images, and it takes minutes to get that far.
The MacBook on the same network (with a different iTunes account) has the exact same issue.
My internet otherwise works perfectly. pages load very quickly in Safari and Firefox, Mail works great, Battlefield 2142 is running perfect, even Azureus is all green lights.
Before anyone suggests the obvious, I have tried restarting the computer and running ONLY iTunes, ... only to experience the exact same problem.
note about an hour ago I thought the problem went away. I was clicking through iTunes like normal, ... but only for about 3 minutes, then nothing, ... nothing, ... nothing.
    Aaarrgghhh!!!

  • Error msg itunes store request timed out

i keep getting the msg "we could not complete your itunes store request. the request timed out. there was an error in the itunes store. please try again later" what is going on that i can no longer access itunes store??

I'm having the exact same problem. I've tried emailing Itunes support and they are morons. They completely fail to address teh problem. I emailed them reminding them that my computer far exceeds their requirements and that I don't have any other programs running but I haven't heard back yet. I'm planning to challenge the charge on my credit card. I will never purchase anything from Itunes again.
    Here is what they suggest:
    1) To use iTunes, your PC must meet the Windows system requirements listed here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download
(Note that installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account waiting to be downloaded.)
    2) Quit as many other open applications as you can before playing videos in iTunes.
    3) Wait for all iTunes Store purchases to finish downloading before playing videos.
    4) Disable all non-Microsoft startup programs and services

  • TS1424 I keep trying to make purchase on my games but it keeps telling me that it can't complete punches, cant connect to itunes store, connection error.... This is an continues issue I'm having. Why?

I have 2 iPads and on my way of getting another, I use the same iTunes account for them both is that an issue? If yes! Why?

This forum is for questions about Apple Remote Desktop, Apple's software for managing networked Mac systems, and hence not the best place for your question. I'd suggest asking in the iTunes for Windows forum.
Note, however, that iTunes has never been supported on the 64-bit version of Windows XP, so you're on your own to attempt to get it working.
    Regards.

  • Cant connect to itunes store it says connection has timed out

when i try to access the itunes store it says cant connect to itunes store connection has timed out make sure your network setting are correct and your network connection is active, then try again....i have re-synced and downloaded the new itunes,i can access it on my ipod touch 3rd gen. but when i go to it on the computer it doesnt work i NEED HELP!!!

I've had the same problem for the last two weeks. Finally resolved the issue in Windows 7.
Go to start button, control panel, system & security, windows firewall. On the left side of the box click on "advanced settings." On the left side of the box again click on "Inbound Rules." You should be able to see iTunes under the name category. Make sure it has a green check mark next to it. If it does not, then double click on the name. In the "general" box which comes up open, click "Allow the Connection." That worked for me. Somehow itunes was blocked but now I can access the itunes store again.

  • Cannnot connect to iTunes store - just started happening

Had the phone over two years and this has never happened before. Tried to download updates for purchased apps and got the message "Cannot make network connection to iTunes Store - connection timed out". Tried both fromn the phone itself (WiFi) and from the iTunes app on the Win7 laptop (WifFi). Never a problem before.

I'm having the same issue. I'm unable to download apps on my iPhone, iPad, or iTunes, none seem to be able to connect to the store for the purpose of purchasing or downloading apps.

  • HT1768 itunes could not connect to itunes store.  The network connection timed out.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again.

I keep getting this error message when I try to log into Itunes, has anyone else seen this error?  If so how did you fix it?
Itunes could not connect to itunes store.  The network connection timed out.  Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and try again.

Have you disabled any firewall and security/antivirus programs?  This seems to have helped the vast majority of people who have posted the same problem in this forum.

Katrina, yes those are the instructions I used. I just executed the steps outlined three additional times (meticulously) and the issue I have is, at step 14, after restart, I do not receive the "Windows has blocked startup programs" message... System starts "normally", when I attempt to run iTunes I am informed that iTunes needs to repair software required to communicate with iPods and iPhones... Whether I choose to allow iTunes to restore these services or not, the outcome remains the same, "connection timed out" at iTunes store. Cannot download podcasts, cannot access internet through Quicktime either... Other than that Firefox works just fine.
