Cant' convert outlook messages to pdf

I am trying to convert outlook messages to pdf. The first message converts fine. Every subsequent message fails to convert. The progress bar starts and then quickly disappears. I have to close and open outlook to convert messages to pdf messages again. I am using Acrobat Standard 7 and Outlook 2003 on windows xp.

Hi TisaMarisa,
The PDFMaker may have been disable in your Outlook.
To enable it open Outlook.
Click on > Tools > Trust Center
Choose Add-Ins in the list on the left side of the Trust Center window. Choose Disabled Items in the Manage pop-up menu at the bottom of the Trust Center window. Click Go.
Look in the Disabled Items list for Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In.
If Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In is in the list, then select it, click Enable, and click Close. Then close and reopen the Office 2007 application.
Hope this will resolve your issue.

    Hi benlebvb,
Are you running a 32- or 64-bit OS? Please see this thread: Acrobat 8 and Windows 7 Don't Work
While that is not a supported configuration (Acrobat 7 on Windows 8), some customers have been able to make it work. The thread I've referenced should give you some good pointers.

  • Adobe Acrobat X - convert outlook email to pdf and include attachments as pdf

Is there a way to save an Outlook email as a PDF and include attachments as extra pages within the same PDF? I know I can convert an email to PDF and it will include the attachments as links.  My end users feel that their clients won't understand the link feature, and/or the paper clip on the side pane.  They'd rather convert an email and have it's attachments converted also, making the pdf an email message + converted attachments....all in one process.  The only way currently is to open each attachment and convert them individially, then combine the email pdf and attachment pdf together.  Too many steps involveed there.
    make sense?
    Thanks,
    Jon Wooten

Same question here, but for Lotus Notes!! Seems ridiculously simple.

I cant convert exxel files to PDF

You can only convert files to PDF if you have a purchased subscription of Adobe PDF Pack. Please see the status of your account under My Account tab of the app.
If you are a paid subscriber, are you seeing an error during conversion? We have identified a recent problem with some regional formats like Japanese and Danish. Please try and change the Region Format under Settings->General->International to United States to resolve the failures.
    Thanks

  • No attachments when converting Outlook email to pdf

I am using Outlook 2010 and Adobe X Pro. When I try to convert an email message to a pdf it does not include the attachment. (In the setting for conversion I have "Include all attchments in the Adobe PDF" selected.)

It could also be the transparency grid, which you control through the following user preference: Edit > Preferences > Page Display > Page Content and Information > Show transparency grid

  • Acrobat X Pro converting Outlook Folders to PDF

I'm having an issue (Or more specifically one of my users is.)
He has a process flow of exporting EMail folders to PDF when he is done with a related project.
This keeps his mailbox small and his projects easy to reference.
Recently when he tries to convert a folder to a PDF it seems to succeed.
All of the e-mails are readable, but it breaking/corrupting attached documents where it used to neatly embed them into the relevant PDFs.
They still show up with the correct names and file extensions, they still show that the PDF has an attachment.
When we attempt to open it however the documents don't work with what ever their native program may have been.
    (Usually blueprints or the like.)
He accesses Outlook and Acobat Pro through a Citrix farm.
Is there any settings or permissions I should be looking at to ensure this works correctly for him?
I haven't been able to find the root cause.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Converting Outlook mails to PDF is very unreliable

I recently bought Acrobat XI Pro in order to archive my large Outlook mailbox.
Problem is, it works alright for single mails or small folders with <200 mails.
If I try to select all folders I am interested in and set this up using the Selected Folders option in the PDF ribbon, it gives me a message, that these are lots of mails (~6000) and might take a while.
When I click OK it starts, but after a few minutes either the progress bar simply disappears and nothing has happened, or Outlook restarts.
Also I noted, that with the progress bar still running there is almost no activity in the task manager, as if nothing is happening.
Any ideas? Is there a good and a wrong way of doing this?
    Thanks in advance!

I solved my problem. I updated the Acrobat pro 9 version several times, then I coppiend the job options according to the last step in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/780318

  • Convert Outlook 2010 emails + attachments to pdf

Looking for some help.  We've upgraded to Office 2010 and are unable to convert emails and attachments from Outlook 2010 to pdf using Acrobat Pro 9, 10, or 11.  This function was working with Outlook 2007 and Acrobat Pro 9.  Any information on how to fix this would be helpful!

Thanks Anoop I was extremely needed to convert my Outlook emails to PDF including attachments and header portion. Before reading your post I also read an online discussion that indicates tips and tricks to complete conversion task without installing MS Outlook or any additional drivers & programs. I had read such type of discussion here http://www.pcvita.com/convert-outlook-emails-to-pdf-with-attachments.html by searching in google "PST to PDF". It resulted well and did required job precisely. Below is a glimps of GUI:

  • Converting outlook email message to pdf

When converting email messages from outlook 2007, the default initial view is "fit width", but I cannot find a setting to change this to "fit page", so I have to reset each conversion and save.  I changed the acrobat X preferences to "fit page", but this did not change the intial view from email conversion.  I do not have this issue with any other program, but could not find outlook specific setting for this.

Unfortunately this isn't an option that you can change for the PDFMaker within Outlook. Since most email messages are displayed in a 'Fit Width' view by default in Outlook, it's the same for conversions to PDF.
Instead, you may want to consider setting up an Action Wizard to change all of the PDFs in a given location to have the desired setting.
    Launch Acrobat X Pro
Choose the 'Tools' pane, and open Action Wizard.
Within the 'Document Processing' set of actions, you can configure the 'Open Options'.
Setup the folder of PDFs you want to process, adjust the configurable options within the 'Open Options' step to default to 'Fit page'
Run your folder through the Action Wizard.
Let us know how it goes!

  • Converting Outlook 2007 email to PDF; Have to reboot PC to convert multiple times

I have an end user who converts multiple emails to PDF for filing purposes. Adobe converts multiple emails in a portfolio style. Email can be seen as in a file at the top and seen seperately ebelow. After 2-3 times Adobe won't convert to portfolio format, won't give error message, but will convert all selected email as one large PDF. Until user reboots machine, portfolios can't be created.  Tried on two different machines same issue. Using Adobe 9 Pro and Outlook 2007.

Is Acrobat updated to 9.5.2?  What SP do you have installed for Office 2007?  What version of Windows (with SP) is running on these computers?

  • Acrobat 9 / Outlook 2007 - Convert  Mail Folder to PDF Crashes Outlook

    Procedure:
Opened Outlook 2007, selected email folder, right clicked email folder, selected from menu: Convert "folder" to Adobe PDF, selected save
    Problem:
After many successful such folder conversions, one email folder in particular caused Outlook 2007 to crash when half way through conversion
    Solution:
Finally, upon about the 7th attempt, I noticed Outlook crashed when attempting to convert one particular email file (within the folder)
The name of the offending email file was visible during the conversion process
I reopened Outlook, examined the offending email and discovered it contained Japanese characters in the attachments
I then deleted the offending email and recommenced the procedure
All ran smoothly as per normal, Problem Solved!
I hope this helps somebody out there

I searched everywhere on the web for a solution and came up with nothing - so when I finally worked it out (simple in hindsight) I just had to make the post (my very 1st!).

Just installed Outlook 365. Now getting an error message downloading pdf's from outlook re: licensing on my acrobat 9 standard. 148:3

OFFICE 365 is a cloud version of OFFICE 2013. Full compatibility with Acrobat requires an updated Acrobat XI. You will likely have to store the file and then open in AA 9. To create a PDF you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer or use the MS plugin that has several issues.
