    Hi CarlosMBM,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
With Home Sharing, you can stream music from your computer to your iPhone. If you'd like to transfer the music to your iPhone, see the steps in this article to set up syncing using iTunes:

  • HT1473 Copy music from CDs to iTunes library without a CD drive

I have a Macbook without a CD drive (purchased in winter 2012-13); my husband has a Mac desktop (few years old). I'd like to copy some music from CDs to my iTunes library for listening on my iPhone (4S) and Mac (and, perhaps, one day, iPad). My husband says that if we insert one of the CDs into his Mac and copy/import it, it will only go into HIS iTunes library. If that's so, how can I get the music from his library into my Macbook.
If that's not so, how do we specify where the copied files should go so that I can access them? I'm not totally Apple-savvy, so please bear with me on this!?

Import them into his computer, then copy them from his iTunes Music folder to your computer via Home Sharing - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819 - (probably the easiest), file sharing, or an external storage device such as a USB flash drive or external hard drive. If you use any method other than Home Sharing, just drag the tracks into the iTunes window on your computer.
You posted in the iTunes for Windows forum, by the way. Just FYI for future questions.
    Regards.

  • Cannot copy music from library to a new playlist?

    Help.
I backed up all my music from itunes.
I then installed a new operating system.
I put all the music back into itunes after re-installing itunes.
Now when I take a song from my library and try to put it into a new playlist it will not copy it into the folder?
I have authorized my itunes account?
Why won't it let me copy my own music into a new playlist?

I am having the same problem...

  • I've just got a new laptop and i cant copy music from my touch onto it HELP

Alright i'm a bit daft when it comes to all this technical stuff but i'm trying to 'drag' music from my IPOD to the new itunes i have just downlaoded on to my new laptop, is this possible?
    Please help

no, because unlike other ipods, the ipod touch does not have a disk mode. you will need to transfer the music from your old computer like presumably you have done with all your other files, or reload it from CDs.

  • Copying music from Library to my ipod..

My library is full of music but i cant work out how to put it to my ipod!
Im so confused!! Can someone please tell me?

Have you read the User's Guide for your model of iPod? The user's guide provides very complete information on how to get content onto an iPod.
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipod
If after reading the manual you still have questions, post back with details as to exactly where things seem to be going wrong, or what you don't understand, and I'm sure folks here can help.

  • Ipod library in ITunes freezes with Ipod Mini - HELP

    Hi!
    I have the folowing problem.
When I connect my Ipod Mini, te ITunes recognizes the Ipod and shows me the content of it. However, I can't play any of its songs nor add other songs; everything related to the Ipod in the ITunes is frozen. Please note that I can hear the music outside the Ipod through ITunes. I have already tried the 5R`s but doesnt work.
    Please help!!
    Than you in advance!
    Alan

You have to pod set on "Auto Update" if you want to drag/drop and play songs on your PC from the pod, you have to set it to "Manual update" rightclick the pod in iTunes select "iPod Options" and here you can change it to that if you wish.
If you do this tho you will have to manually eject it from the PC everytime

  • Itunes doesnt recognize Ipod, please help, getting frustrated!!

OK today I plugged my ipod into my computer to update it and magically it started updating, i dont know what I did but it updated the stuff that i have added recently. • How can I copy music from PC to iTunes Library?

I am trying to copy some music files I copied from original CDs to a pendrive since I do not have a Mac DVD player. I tried by selecting files from Finder and doing drag-and-drop into iTunes Library, but it did not work. So, what can I do?
    Thanks!

Let me get this straight. You took files ripped on a PC to a pen drive and tried dragging them to the iTunes library window?  That should work, but some things will depend upon the format of the files.  I would create an empty playlist window and drag the files to it. It is possible the files either never had or somehow lost their tag information and are not ending up in the library where you expect them to be.  What format files are these?  WAV doesn't preserve labels,

  • Cant remove music from iphone in itunes?

I know there are similar questions but I cant find anyone having this problem. My iPhone 4, fully updated, has 94 songs on it, my computer and phone both agree on usage and space available. But under my iPhone, under music, it says i have 630 songs. but only those 94 in that list that are shown on my phone, play. And all 630 are in my library and all play. I want this all music on my phone to disappear. All 630 that show up on my iPhone music and the 94 on my iPhone, so that I can import new stuff and organize it.

    Hello ibonner
It all depends on what type of media it is. If it is purchased content from the iTunes Store, then it will transfer. If it was something that was ripped from a cd and then copied to your iPhone, then it will not copy to iTunes. You can also download previous purchases as well.

  • Cant copy ebooks to library with itunes 11.1.3.8?

I just updated itunes to 11.1.3.8.  Now I can't drag and drop my ebooks onto my library (or ipad device).  Just shows a black "no entry" sign.
I see two books I put in my library when I had 11.1.11.
    Have apple killed this feature?
If so, how can we get ebooks onto the ipad?
I could happily copy these exact books onto my ipad yesterday with the prev. version of itunes.  The reason Im doing it again, is because the app store on the ipad died, and could get no support or help from apple (its a brand new 64GB air, you would have thouhg that apple offer some kind or support, but I could not get any), so I had to reset the device back to factory settings.  This fixed the broken app store and hanging sync, but now I have to go through hours of putting all the content, apps and settings back on.  And I cant, because for some reason its blocked.  I dont know if its just me, but using apple products is the most time consuming and frustrating exersise.
Should I try and downgrade to the prev. itunes, and if so, anyone know how to get a  hold of an older version which allows ebooks?

Also pdfs, which used to work, dont work. Looks like apple have crippled itunes to only work with content you purchased with them.

  • Cant get music from iphone to itunes

Title says it all really, I'm using an iphone 4 with windows 8. When I got the new computer and downloaded itunes I was missing my favorite album and it will not sync when I try to. Its still on my phone and if my phone is plugged in it will still play the album via itunes but it will not sync at all. I've tried the "make sure its checked" and I can't check anything. Everything else will sync except this one album which, before you ask, I bought off of itunes itself awhile back. How can I fix this annoying thing?
Also when I get to the sync menu it won't even display or recognize the album, like it doesnt exist.

  • Is their a way to transfer/copy music from iphone to itunes?

    Please help

  • How can I transfer new music from a different iTunes onto my iPod without erasing the music already on it?

I have music on my iPhone and iPod nano from my old computer back home, and am now at college 2 hours away with my new laptop and a different repertoire. Just to be safe I tried syncing my old iPod nano with my new iTunes and rather than adding the music to my iPod it replaced all the music already on it. Is there some way I can stop this from happening with my iPod nano and my iPhone, or am I just going to have to copy everything onto CD's and do things the hard way? If anybody can help me they'll have my undying gratitude.
    Much appreciated,
    Demitra

  • How do you move music from the new iTunes to your iPod?

I've downloaded the latest version of iTunes, but can't figure out how to move music and playlists from the iTunes library onto my iPod.  In earlier versions, you only had to drag a playlist onto the iPod.  That doesn't seem to be an option now.

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar.  Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Syncing your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.
