Cant Create Profile in 5230

I Purchased a 5230 a few months ago.
The Problem with the phone is that I cant Create a new profile.
Updated the software.
And Tried everything I know.
Still Cant Create a New Profile.
Please suggest solutions.

I did some more testing with my friend's phone, I even persuaded her to let me update it (now on 21.0.004), still no problems creating profiles.
One thing to try, though I'm 50/50 whether I think it is going to help: backup your phone contents again, then reformat it using hte code *#7370# - the phone will ask you to confirm the reset then enter the lock code, which is 12345 if you haven't set a personal code, then shut down and restart. Once complete, try to create a profile before you restore your backup - if it works, then there could have been some corrupt data in your settings data preventing this from working, in which case omit settings from from the resotration when you restore the backup.
If it still doesn't work, it could be an issue with your phone's specific variant of the software (this will vary according to region of the world and network operator), in which case all you would be able to do is report the issue to Nokia via the "contact us" link. Be sure to give them the product code of your phone (this is on the label in the battery compartment, usually a 7-digit code beginning 05).

  • Palm Profile cannot sign in and cant create new palm profile!

    Hello,
I am looking for help with my company Pre 2 EU Unlock Phone.
I am an HP Employee and i got my Pre 2 months ago, then i dont have any issue to create my palm profile - [email protected]
Few days ago I wipe my phone coz it was very slow and when i try to sign in i get an error - Sign In Failed.
Of course i check the site and everything looks fine. I delete the device under my profile coz i thought that cause any issue. And try to log on again - unsuccessfully
Then i try to create new profile and again nothing happen
I go to live chat and i have 3hours chat with support - again no success(Chat session ID:99825861). We try everything possible but its not working..
Ofcourse web chat rep try to explain me that the root cause is in my carrier which is not true because my card have 3G and its working perfectly.
Because when i type wrong password it said me password is wrong and i click on forgot password i select the secret  question and change the password via the phone - which is a clear proof that Internet 3G is working!
Then i decide to downgrade to 2.0 - again cant login and cant create new profile, try with 2.01 again no success.
Now back on 2.1 with #*DEVMODE# everything is working i have signal and i can use the phone but i dont have app catalog and cant install apps because there is no Palm profile on the phone.
I try SDK tool and to  find what is the app which start profile creation card  with palm-launch but without success.
    So i have few Question
    - Do we(you) have a problem with WebOSProfile Services ?
    - why i cant create new or login to my existent profile ?
    - in DEVMODE how i can create palm profile (is that possible) and if it is how to do it ?
    - what is the HP internal group which support this services and how i can contact you internaly ?
Looking for your reply because thats and urgent and i cant use my phone more than 3 days

What do you mean by "upgrade?"  If you've installed some software version that isn't supported for your device, then you may have to use the WebOS Doctor to go back to a supported version.
If you've "upgraded" to a supported version, then this problem will require you call Palm/HP's support to find out why you can't sign into your profile.

  • Cant change profiles as code /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -ProfileManager says its not recognized and ive restarted it twice to make sure its closed

Cant change my profiles and the code /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -ProfileManager as stated on the page doesnt work..It says -bash: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin: No such file or directory...I cant create a new one or manage them cause of not allowing in the profile area..
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    An update.
I almost never use TFF24 so I haven't really been testing this.  However, I did have an issue with TFF17 where it crashed or something.  When I restarted TFF17 it had somehow decided to start using my TFF24 profile.  No real harm there other than puzzlement, and I was missing all my plugins and extensions.  Fortunately I keep the profile switcher extension in both profiles so I used it to switch back to my TFF17 profile.  A few days later I needed to use TFF24.  When I tried starting it with TFF17 still running it did not start up but gave me the old warning about not being able to run two versions of Firefox.  I quit TFF17, started TFF24 and it started up using my TFF17 profile.  Of course then it ran an extension compatibility check, found the "outdated" ones and removed them from the profile!  They were still gone when I restarted in TFF17.   An add-on check said one of them (Classic Compact) only had a Firefox20+ version available until I did some real web searching and finally found a page with the older version.  By the way, simply copying the extensions folder from a profile backup does not seem to install a full suite of extensions, you have to do the full profile.
    Observations:
    - If you do this, keep a profile switcher add-on in both copies of TFF.  Select it to always display at startup which is annoying but not a huge amount of labor to click through.  That way you can make sure each version is starting with the correct profile.  I also installed an add-on which stops TFF from doing an add-on compatibility check when starting, just in case.  It is easy to toggle on and off if you really want one done.
    - Of course right now I don't have capability to keep both versions running at the same time unless I go back and set it all up again, but at least I can have two different versions for when I need to run the newer one.

  • I cant create an icloud apple account

I want to use iCloud for both my Mac Mini and iPhone, but the hardware themselves are not related to my problem: I can't create an iCloud account.
1 - I know my itunes/app store apple ID is not the same as an icloud ID (an iCloud id is an actual email address)
2 - apparently both my personal email addresses are in use (so i cant create a new account)
3 - I click "forgot password" when I try and login using my personal email address and it says it emailed me the password.  I have tried this several times and it never sends me an email (they are both gmail accounts and yes, I checked the spam box).
How can I create an iCloud account?
My only guess at the problem is that I have been a Mac user since pre-internet and I am sure I used my addresses for purchases and accounts starting a long time ago.

    dalidrama wrote:

You can use your current AppleID to create an iCloud account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4436
You are not getting the email for the password reset because the email you are currently using is not the same as the recovery email you set in your profile settings when you first created the AppleID/iTunes account. You will have to try and remeber what email you used as the recovery address.

  • Folllowing instructions to create profile in Firefox

I got halfway through profile instructions (open utilities>open terminal)
    - window name: Terminal-firefox-bin-80 x 24 Terminal-firefox-bin-80 x 24
continuing with creating profile - I think
In the window Firefox - Choose User Profile, I followed the tutorial I enter my new user profile name - exit
Terminal-firefox-bin-80 x 24 - window is still open at this point
    - when I try to close window by hitting 'return' profile name is added on new line
-clicking close window from window red button or Terminal's "shell" drop down menu opens new window with " Closing this window will terminate the running processes: login, bash, firefox-bin."
I sure don't want to go through all this process again - if I close the window will it scrap creating profile?
    Thanks for any help

  • How can I launch firefox on different displays simultaneously without creating profiles for each of them

On my solaris server, there is an application which, in order to display some information, opens the browser. The server can be accessed thorugh X windows by various users. The issue is that whn firefox is open on one display, it fails to open on another display.
The resolution for this problem as suggested by a lot of users on various forums is to create different profiles for various firefox instances. However, everytime my application will launch firefox, i will have to invoke it with -P option which will pop up the profile manager. I do not wish to show the pop up for creating profiles:(. Is there some way to allow multilple instances of firefox to run on different displays?

The resource limits set for a profile are enforced only when you enable resource limitation for the database.
Enabling and Disabling Resource Limits While the Database is Open
    ALTER SYSTEM SET RESOURCE_LIMIT = TRUE;
