Cant  Deauthorise Computers

I currently have 2 iTunes Accounts, the old one was authorised on 5 PC's that I no longer have access to, likewise I do not have access to the old account email address. I do however have the music on my iPhone and can use it. I have copied this content to my new Library (new iTunes account) but cant play it without being authorised.
Is there a way I can deauthorise the other PC's without having access to them or is there a way I can move the content from my old account to the new one?

  • Why before one year i cant Deauthorise my 5 computers?

I'd like to Deauthorise my 5 computers, what i no need and want to authorise again my another device (new laptop & new pc) with my itunes. But when i click Deauthorise All. I got notification that before 1 year I cant do it (You cant deauthorised before 1 year 29 September 2012). So now my question why we have to wait until one year? Why not any time /always/1months or 2months? isn't lengthy time for us to wait.. please consider this matter.
Awaiting to hear positive answer from Apple/iPhone.

You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than two authorized computers.

Is there a way to "deauthorise" computers from your apple ID without having access to those computers?

    Hi there ellou86!
I have an article here for you that can help you with this question:
iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420
Specifically, it seems that this is the portion of the article that is most relevant to your question:
To deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID
If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than two authorized computers. If you need assistance on using this feature, please contact iTunes Store support via email (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/).
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

How can i deauthorise computers which are no longer functional & are within the 12 month period?

Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance. Only they can perform a second Deauthorize All before the year ends.

  • How do I deauthorise computers that I no longer have access to?

That's it really - when in iTunes you go Store>Deauthorise this computer I can only do this PC which I want to be the only authoried PC - before you could deauthorise all PCs?
    Thanks,
    Dave

You cannot yourself deauthorize a computer that's not working or to which you no longer have access. You can authorize a total of up to five systems, so it's probably not really important that you deauthorize other units now. Once you reach five total authorizations, a button will appear in your iTunes Store account that will allow you to deauthorize all your systems, so that would at that time recover any now-useless authorizations.
If for some reason you really feel you need to deauthorize other systems now, you can try contacting the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting) and explaining the problem to them. They might be willing to clear your authorizations for you.
    Regards.

  • Cant add computers to a new computer list in WGM

In WGM when I try to add computers to a list I am creating, it gives me a message that the computer cannot be added because it is part of another group. But there are no other groups that are created, not that I see where I am creating mine.
Is there another place to look, or is there any way to see what group/list the specific computer is apart of?

    Mediocer,
    Thanks. Sorry I can't offer any wisdom/assistance...

  • Upgraded to yosemite and cant get computers to share files

Got a iMac and MacBook Air.  Upgraded both to Yosemite and can not get them to share their hard drives.  Have done this for years but no more.  Every time I tell them to connect it fails.  I am using the exact same accounts on both machines.  Same full name, same account name, same password.  Can't find anything on the internet.  Apple has become just as screwed up as Windows.  It's really sad.  I am extremely disappointed with them.  What the !@#$@#$ has changed?

  • HT1420 How can I find out what computers I have authorised? Or how can I deauthorise a computer if i no longer have access to it?

    Hi,
I have 4 authorised computers for my iPhone but I have no idea what 2 of them are. Is there a way I can see what the computers authorised are? Or can I deauthorise computers that I no longer have access to?

I'm not aware of anyway to see a list of your authorised computers. Have you had other computers in the past and/or updated or reinstalled the OS on those that you still have without first deauthorising them ?  Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but when you've reached the 5 computer limit then you can log into your account and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

"i know but i cant deauthorise all computers it tell me"
Yes, and it specifically tells you that you have already deauthorised your computers once this year. You can only do this once a year and so cannot do it again until December 22nd.
I guess Apple see once a year as sufficient. I also don't know of any way around this, although you could try contacting iTunes Store support and appealing to them for assistance. They may offer help, but they are not required to do so.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

  • Deauthorized computers that i don't have

Hello, ,my question is how can I deauthorized a computer that is not available anymore.
My Pc got viruses three times already and i couldn't deauthorized the computer before my husband got it reset, so now it looks like i have 5 computers authorized, but i actually only have 2 where i play the music, is there a way that i can get the other three deauthorized??

It's a bit hard deauthorising computers when you've reinstalled windows on that computer and it doesnt exist anymore then when you click the 'deauthorise all' button it says you cant as you have to wait a few more months as its only allowed once a year.
Do you really wonder why people hate apple?
drop the once a year thing and it might seem reasonable.
I have an iPhone I cant sync for this exact reason.
I will be looking elseware to sync the iphone to the PC now as itunes refuses. I will also make sure its jailbreaked coz you refuse to let me use MY iphone on MY computer.

  • Need to Modify a regitry value for a list of computers on my Network

Hey guys, first off I don't have any formal scripting experience, I just try to figure stuff out as needed. Anyway we use Citrix XenApp, and currently all of our computers point to a URL to fetch the assets they need.
I need to switch the URL they are all pointing at.
The registry entry is location here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\PNAgent\ and there is a string in there called ServerURL and the data value is: http://theOLDurl
At first I was thinking about exporting that key, which works, but I don't know how to execute a .reg file on a list of remote computers, so I thought I would try a powershell script.
    I tried the following:
    PS C:\> Set-Location HKLM:\Software\Wow6432Node\Citrix\PNAgent
    PS HKLM:\Software\Wow6432Node\Citrix\PNAgent> Set-ItemProperty . ServerURL "http://theNEWurl"
I get Set-ItemProperty : Requested registry access is not allowed.
    At line:1 char:17 (which is the . )
    + Set-ItemProperty <<<< . ServerURL "http://theNEWurl"
      + CatagoryInfo                 : PermissionDenied: <HKEY_LOCAL_MACH...\Citrix\PNAgent:String) [Set-ItemProperty], SecurityException
         + FullyQualifiedErrorId : System.Security.SecurityException,Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.SetItemPropertyCommand
I tried it this way as well, with pretty much the same result:
    PS C:\> Set-ItemProperty -Path HKLM:\Software\Wow6432Node\Citrix\PNAgent -Name ServerURL -Value http://theNEWurl
I am an administrator, I tried getting creds with my domain admin account, I still get similar errors, what I am doing wrong or am I missing something really easy to make this change happen?
Oh once i figured it out I was planning on using a list of remote computer names like this to put to a list:
    Invoke-Command -cn (gc c:\theNEWurlList.txt)

I think this is the part that is going to be hard to figure out, I tried:
    PS C:\> Invoke-Command -cn (gc c:\newURLlist\list.txt) -cred $cred {pushd;sl HKLM:\Software\Wow6432Node\Citrix\PNAgent;
    Set-ItemProperty . ServerURL "http://theNewurl" ; popd}
Right now the c:\newURLlist\list.txt only has one computer in it called remote-computer
Then I get the following error:
[remote-computer] Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The client cannot connect to the des tination specified in the request. Verify that the service on the destination is running and is accepting requests. Con sult the
logs and documentation for the WS-Management service running on the destination, most commonly IIS or WinRM. If the destination is the WinRM service, run the following command on the destination to analyze and configure the WinRM service: "winrm quickconfig".
For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
        + CategoryInfo          : OpenError: (:) [], PSRemotingTransportException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionStateBroken
I'm totally lost now and if I cant do computers remotely then the script really doesn't help me much. Ah! Any ideas?

  • Contacting Apple to Deauthorise

Ok guys, first time poster here for support as I usually read up on topics as people have often asked before! So hi and thanks for all the previous posters asking the questions I didn't have to balls to ask :P
Anyhoo on to the point, I'm the kind of guy who likes to reinstall my OS when things go wrong or when it starts churning and hear the little hamster dying inside my machine!
The question I bring is, having already used the "Deauthorise All" options once in a 12 month period, is there any other way to reset the count? As having reinstalling the OS periodically I either forget or don't get the chance to De-authorise that "install" before the wipe, so now I'm using my girlfriends computer trying to update some apps and it's not letting me authorise, neither De-authorise all as I have already used up my limit once, and have to wait till mid-may till the count gets reset.
Any way I can contact Apple either by phone or email and explain? Or are there any Staff here that can oblige?

    Ahem
Yeah, thanks bud... Been there and offers no information on how to deauthorise computers after using up the initial 10 in a 12 month period.
But having read the original post instead of posting a link would've given you that info
Just a note, I don't have access to the other pc's as they are previous OS installations lol
