Cant delete backups or sync

I have been having some problems for some time now with not being able to sync my idevice. I have done tons of serching with no luck, I read that i should delete my back ups under edit, prefrences, devices. But when I delete them they come right back. Then I also read another one that said go to c:/documents and setting/user/applicationdata/apple computer/mobilesync/backup
Well i dont have the application data after user. I have also completly uninstalled itunes and all its components and re instaled it and the back ups are still there, and not to mention i still cant sync my phone....

iTunes says that me backup file is corrupt and that I have to delete it to backup my iPhone 3GS. Trying to delete the backup, but itunes has no backup file and windows 7 has no appdata file! Any help would be great. Btw I sync to the cloud, is this an issue?

An error message say that the backup is corrupt or not compatible with the IPhone. But where is the backup, I don't find it in the computer ? And it is not in the cloud?

To delete your backups, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Device tab is a list of your backups. Click each one and then click Delete Backup.

Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

I am not running any antivirus software on my Mac, and I have the firewall shut off. Any other ideas? I have not problem downloading all other Apple software updates. I downloaded the latest iTunes software before starting the iPad update process.

An iCloud backup will save the state of your Camera Roll at the time of the backup but, if you delete photos from the Camera Roll, they will not be in the next backup taken.

I cant delete icloud backup

Got a new 5s a few days ago and set it up with the backup from my 4s. now i cant delete the 4s backup, it says the backup is in use ?!?

Using iTunes on your computer, open Preferences (under the leftmost item in iTunes menu). Choose "Devices" on top. Find your backup listed there, highlight it, and select "Delete Backup".

I have an event scheduled for Wednesday each week, I delete it at end of day. If i delete it on my Macbook Air it deletes fine on my iMac just fine. But if i delete it on my iMac first it stays on my Macbook Air...

Yes and no. AirDrop is used to send a file from one computer to another. A Contact isn't a file so AirDrop isn't the best way to move contacts from one computer to another. If you own both an iMac and MBA and want to keep the two computers synced, the easiest way is to create an iCloud account on both computers. Any calendar event, to do, contact, or note you create on one will sync to the other. If you just bought a MBA and want to move data to it from your iMac you should use Apple's migration assistant. Personally I think the easiest way to migrate is to perform a backup of the old computer to a USB external drive using TimeMachine and then connect the TimeMachine to the new computer and use Migration Assistant.
But can you exchange contacts using AirDrop? Yes. Select the contact(s) you want to transfer, export them as vcards to a temporary folder. Then AirDrop the folder to your MBA. Now run Contacts and then drag the vcards onto the Contacts program icon in the Dock.

Delete your most recent backup in iTunes (iTunes Preferences>Devices, click on the backup, click Delete Backup), if using a PC click Reset Sync History (also in Devices), then close iTunes, restart your device, connect your device again, open iTunes and try syncing again.

The pictures that are on your phone, that you don't want, did they appear there after syncing with iTunes? Or were they taken with the iphone's camera?
Pictures synced from iTunes have to be removed by syncing again, but not having those pictures checked under the Photos tab in iTunes.

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.
