Cant delete/show/configure exchange server

I know this is an old problem but non of the solutions discussed before solved my problem.
I cant configure exchange server.I cant even delete it.And when I try to delete iphone crashes and return to home screen.
I tried
-removing profile
-resetting all settings
-restarting device lots of time
-setting up profile on apple support site.
None of these solved my problem.I dont want to return backup to 3 months back.
So it must have a solution for that.

Also I tried to do that solutions in offline mode too..Nothing changed.
Any heelp?or maybe restoring from backup except mails etc?

IPhone deletes mail on Exchange server - how to uncouple?

Whenever I delete company mail on my iPhone the mail is deleted from the Exchange server.
Where can I toggle this? I want the mail to stay visible from my Mac but be cleared off my iPhone.

You cannot. Exchange servers operate just like IMAP - the mail lives on the server, and a local copy is synced/cached. If you make a change (like deleting a message) on one device, that change is reflected on the server (assuming you're connected to the internet), and thus on all devices.
One option might be to create a different folder (in Mail on the Mac, for example, but on the Exchange account not local so the phone can access it) - call it Read Mail or something like that. Then, on the iPhone move emails from your Inbox to that folder instead of deleting them.

Installing and configuring Exchange Server 2013 on mobile boradband

I'm trying to configure Exchange Server 2013 on my test server. But I have a mobile boradband connection for Internet. Therefore, I don't have port forwarding and a static IP. Since I'm a beginner, I want to know whether I can install and configure exchange
server on my machine or whether there are workarounds for this. Thanks.

Hi,
If you just want to work internally, I suggest build AD and DNS server on your lab and give it a static IP.
If you want to work both internally and externally, I suggest publish your DNS.

RTMT cant send alerts to exchange server

HI,
I have setup alerts in the RTMT and configured it with the exchange. I have tested the connectivity and it does connect to the exchange server IP. I can see the alerts showing up as sent to my email address but still I dont get any.
I have spoken to the exchange guy who said he added all the IP address (for our CUCM 8.5 nodes) to be allowed to send/relay emails. have done searches on the senders IP address (CM Nodes) and the senders email ([email protected]) but couldnt locate anything.
By checking some other topics, i came across that we have to configure the DNS on the CUCM CLI. I have checked through the GUI and the DNS is not setup.
can someone please advise
1. Do we need to configure a DHCP before configuring a DNS
2. we can only configure the DNS via the CLI as
set network dns {primary | secondary} ip-address
3. will this cause any network disconnection.
4. or do we have to reboot the cluster/ any services.
and the main question is even if we configure the DNS on the CUCM will it then be able to send the alerts from the RTMT to the exchange server.

Yes JP you are right, the Dchannel alert is there but sometimes the D channel is working fine, like last time, we had the first B channel of the first gateway out of service and the rest had connected calls. so every new call was hiting that first channel and was gettting engaged tone.
the gateway cli doesnt really tell you about which channel out and in when you run

Deleting emails on Exchange Server

I have an iPhone that I can receive emails from my OWA exchange account. When I delete the emails on my iPhone they are just marked as read on my OWA account. Must I delete them twice (once on iPHone & once on server) or is there another way?

I spoke with a guy at Apple support about this yesterday. It seems I knew more about the iPhone than he did. He said it was the way the exchange server / owa account was configured and I would have to talk to my IT dept. I'm at a dead end because they're not real helpful. Until apple comes out with something to really sync with an exchange server I guess we'll have to delete our emails twice.

Hi Azhar
You can specify your mail server on the Portal.
Go to System Administration -> System Configuration -> UM Configuration.
You will find a field there to specify your mail Server.
You may also have to specify this in the config tool of your WAS Server to enable email notification

One Exchange server 2010 ( Role - Hub Transport )

Pls tell me how can i create DAG
Note:- i would like to test below steps
1. Exchange server1 may be down or network link down how server 2 to work automatically without any disturbance

Hi Suriya,
To create a DAG, simply use the below commands from Exchange Management Shell:
New-DatabaseAvailabilityGroup -Name "DAGNAME" -WitnessServer HUBSERVERNAME
Add-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer –Identity DAGNAME -MailboxServer ExchangeServer1
Add-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer –Identity DAGNAME -MailboxServer ExchangeServer2
New-MailboxDatabase -Name DB1 -Server
ExchangeServer1
Add-MailboxDatabaseCopy -Identity DB1 -MailboxServer
ExchangeServer2
You can run your tests now, by restarting any of the servers, and you should be able to see the DB1 will automatically failover & failback between the nodes with out any intervention.
for the HUB transport you must have another server to achieve high availability, so you can install the HUB role on a different server or add it to one of your existing servers.

CSS Load balancing for Exchange Server

Hi,
I have CSS configured in single arm and I have multiple servers configured for load balancing and it is working fine but when I am configuring Exchange server for load balancing I am facing problem and applications and printer/scanners are not able to send the email through the Virtual IP address configured for exchaneg server.
But if we configured the real server IP in the printer/scanners they are able to send the email. While checking the logs on the exchange server, it is showing that request for the email so coming from the Exchange VIP configured in the CSS.
I can telnet on port 25 on the VIP address (192.168.200.237). But unable to send the email through this VIP.
Below is the configuration

Please let me know how to solve this problem. System team is saying with the physical IP address it is working fine problem with Load balancing. I have even tried with the
Add service command in the group but didnt work for me. If i will remove the group command then I cant telnet on port 25.
I think this is related to single arm modle or some wrong configuration for the NAT.

Printers are on Vlan 80 ( gw is 192.168.80.1) and exange server is on vlan 200 (gw is 192.168.200.1) i have multiple vlan which will communcate with exchange.
I hv other servers on 200 subnet which are working fine in load balancing.
My CSS is single arm setup.

Deleting the old Exchange 2007 mailbox entry safely from ADSI Edit ?

Can anyone please assist me what to backup first before so that I can safely remove / delete the following highlighted entry from my domain controller:

There is also the computer object named MAILBOX when I do the search in
Active Directory Users & Computers console.
So can anyone please clarify if this is the best and safest way to do without causing any email downtime ?

You need to ensure that you have the following backups in order to proceed with the decommissioning process:
1. System State Backup of your Active directory
2. Exchange Database Flat file Backup
3. Run ExBPA Report and Export the Report for future reference.
4. Go to Registry Editor and Export “My Computer” as Registry backup.
Yes you are at the right location to safely delete the old Exchange Server mailbox entry .
The best & cleanest way is to delete the whole server object. This wouldn't break your Exchange 2010 configuration. But make sure you don't delete the “Servers” folder itself.

Outlook 2013 not connect with Exchange server 2013 in internal network

I Have two Exchange server 2013 in our environment. Both server install mailbox and CAS role. After configure exchange server 2013, Outlook 2013 not connect in internal network. I have configure outlook manually. i tried by using the suggestion from blog
but not work. Outlook show that Server cannot connect/ server name could not be resolved. in outlook setting i also put exchange proxy setting. In exchange admin center i have changed the OWA, OAB, Auto discover name. But still not work.
I know that outlook can be connect from external by using ssl certificate and publish outlook anywhere but i did my configure from internal network.
Can you please suggest as soon as possible.

Firstly, I’d like to explain, same with external users, internal users use Outlook Anywhere to connect with Exchange server and use Autodiscover get all settings.
Thus, let’s try the following resolutions:
1. run the following command: get-clientaccessservice |fl autodiscoverserviceinternaluri
2. check if the host name in the above URL is in the DNS server and there is a DNS entry about the host name points to the proper IP address.
3. Check if the above host name is in your certificate.

Exchange Server 5.5 Empty INBOX

Hi,
I tried with a simple code using Java Mail API. I can send messages but not able to retrieve messages from INBOX. After logining into Exchange Server 5.5 it indicates that there are no messages in the INBOX.
There are no exceptions of anykind.
Same result via pop3 or IMAP protocol settings.
So it is more to do with configuring Exchange Server to allow viewing of INBOX messages, I guess.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you for your email. It is possible that your regular email client is configured to delete the messages from the POP3 inbox after they have been retrieved. Try the following.
1. Send an email message to your mail address.
2. Close your email client before your email client retrieves the message.
3. Using the iNet Factory classes attempt to login to the POP3 mailbox and retrieve your mail. Depending on how long it takes to send the mail through your SMTP server this may take a few tries before you get a message back.
Alternatively you can disable the automatic deletion of email messages in your email client. If you are using MS Outlook you can do this from the main menu as follows:
Tools | Accounts | Select Account | Properties | Advanced
Check the box "Leave a copy of messages on server".
This will leave the message on the server X days after you download the email from your Outlook client.

Exchange Server 2010 - DAG - Physical and Virtual

Hi All,
we are trying to configure Exchange Server 2010 SP1 DAG with TWO Servers, we are getting the error sector size on log file header was mismatch
1) Physical Server - when we check the sector size on log file - 512 bytes   (RAID5)
2) Virtual Server - when we check the sector size on log file - 4096 bytes
is there any workaround to solve this issue or do i need to re-install the physical server with 4096 sector size..
When i check the Volume details on both machine

I've got a question regarding your answer.
We have an existing Exchange 2010 DAG configuration with 3 mailbox servers in NL and 3 in the UK.
2 for normal databases at each site and 1 for Archive databases at each site.
The current Mailbox servers for the Archive databases are Hyper V 2008 R2 based VM's with a passthrough for storing the databases.
We now want add 1 new Mailbox server for storing archive databases at each site and add them to the DAG.
Can we use Windows 2012 Hyper-V hosts and create the new VM's with 4k sectorsize vhdx files for the new mailbox servers ?
