Cant delete something? Help!
Basically I tried installing an app, but something happened, I don't really know, and now, I can't delete it. If press and hold it, there wont appear any X's on the installing app, and I cant think of anything else that would allow me to delete it.
This disables me from further downloading any app on the appstore, so it's a biggie.
Download the app with iTunes on your computer.
You should have Sync Apps selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. If this is not selected, before selecting this - with your iPhone connected, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone to transfer all 3rd party apps on your iPhone that are not in your iTunes library on your computer.
Follow this by selecting Sync Apps and select all apps below that are currently installed on your iPhone including the problem app on your iPhone followed by a sync. If no change with the problem app on your iPhone, deselect this app under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync to remove the problem app from your iPhone. If this is successful, reselect the app under the Apps tab followed by a sync to install the app on your iPhone.

Are there any cache you CANT delete? Invisible files!?!?!
My MBP is getting pretty full so i downloaded Whatsize to see where everythings at. i found a cache folder that was about a gig large, so i moved it to the trash. and then when i tried to empty the trash it said that a file was in use (one from the cache file) so i stopped, and did not delete it. Is there any caches you cant delete, something that will effect the performance of my computer? or is it ok to go ahead an delete and open up the space?
One other issue is when i ran Whatsize it located a file called "Private" with such things as "ver" "ect"" "temp" in it. it is pretty large. but i can find it anywhere on the hard drive. i even tried to spotlight it, but nothing of the such came up. i have no idea what it is. i kinda want to delete it, but im not going to if i dont know what it is. any help would be appreciated. thanksCaches which you can't delete should be kept in the cache folder. There are programs open all the time unless you boot into single user mode or connect to another Mac with target disk mode. I would not mess with the caches too much, as some are always being written to. Deleting a file which is being written to can cause data corruption.
Best to backup your data and only delete files from those folders which are safe which I've outlined:

Upgraded to leopard and Cant delete podcast in itunes please help
after leopard upgrade.....when i try and delete an old played podcast my itunes immediately pops up an error message and says it quit unexpectedly. this happens w. any podcast and i have the current version of itunes, i also recently upgraded to leopard so i dont know if that has something to do with it, but i CAN play music and videos and podcasts, i just cant delete a podcast, or update them?

"though a bit sluggish" 512 to one gig memory is just making it. two gigs you'll be more satisfied or at minimum 1.5 gigs of memory.
1) I can't answer that based upon normal itunes migration. I just keep my mp3 music on hard drives and when I re-do a computer from scratch just copy them over(they are all metatagged) and use the itunes "add to library" function then change the view using itunes, set my equalizer and I'm basically done.
2) Tiger and Leopard bookmark file are interchangeable. user/library/safari/bookmarks. You should always save that file elsewhere and just drag it over to user/library/safari of course the Safari folder is not created until you launch Safari at least once.
3) use Mail's import function, just direct it to where your mailboxes are stored.
4) address book you can do this function and save it after done. In Tiger under user/library/application support/addressbook there will be a file called addressbook.data Now create a new folder(do it on the desktop) and name it TigerData. Copy that addressbook.data file into that new folder. Now re-name that folder to TigerData.abbu in the addressbook program use the file, import, addressbook archive menu item and choose TigerData.abbu Once done save that file for future Leopard installs. -
Internet attatchments help - i have deleted something and unsure what?

- that problem is now fixed (not through the deleting but something else!!)

It sounds like you did part, but not all, of this important process. I therefore suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

I didn't delete the netflix app I think I deleted something that I needed to have to view the shows! One of the kids downloaded a lot of games and I deleted the games and wondr if I deleted something I needed or did I change a setting by mistake??

As far as I know they can't be deleted, just remove any personal info from it (credit card details etc) and stop using it.
If you downloaded any content via it then you will need to remember it and it's password, as content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it, so if you move to a new computer you'll need to authorise the account on it if you want to use any of its content there (or if you bought apps with it you'll only be able to download updates to them via that account) -
i drop my phone so i got a new one and back up everything... well now i have pics on my phone that i dont want and i cant delete them please help i tired hooking up to iTunes but still cant delete certain ones.... i can send them or post but nothing to delete them
The pictures that are on your phone, that you don't want, did they appear there after syncing with iTunes? Or were they taken with the iphone's camera?
Pictures synced from iTunes have to be removed by syncing again, but not having those pictures checked under the Photos tab in iTunes. -
I deleted something and now cant open itunes
I dunno what I did, My computer has been experiencing what I believe are hacker symptums, I may have deleted something required to open itunes, cause that wont open. The files on the desktop used to have text under them, now its squeezed too small to see and stretched. Files dont open and say"Content" instead of having any of the original files in them, and I believe that my computer says that I am a part of a network when I never advised this. The network folder is empty... But mostly I am confused, and irritated. Love the Apple products, happy with it... Just confused.
I ran "Repair Permissions" the only thing that came up was "unable to repair permissions in SIUD file." Please help IFeelDuM DuM DuM.

Well, i was on my laptop now and all of a sudden a pop up message appeared and said "your download is complete" so i went to go check it out and it was 'MacProtector'. i cant delete it and it keeps opening unwanted web pages, please help me sort this out someone?

When i first synced my iphone it synced around 3000 photo's. It now wont ley me sync my phone at all as i need the new ios version but because of the photo's i dont have enough space but i cant delete the photo's because my phone wont sync. HELP PLEASE!!
Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

Ive deleted something, not sure what but my Ipod connects then disconnects. It doesnt come up on my Itunes or 'My Computer' Whatever happened, it deleted my music of my pod! Someone pleaseeee HELP!

hello, i changed my mediathek-folder due to space-problems and since then i am not able to fill the iphone (4) with music anymore. also i cant delete music in itunes, which already is on the iphone... HELP!

I have a Power Book OS 10.4.11 and cant access my radio library. I believe I deleted something I should not have. How do I reload Itunes and will I loose my music I loaded? I do not have the original software. I was trying to free up some memory and removed the wrong thing.
If you mean the listing of internet streams that seems to have disappeared for many users of older iTunes versions over week ago. Probably some update at Apple broke older versions. No idea if it will ever come back but you can open stream URLs you find on the web and save them in playlists.

Click All Devices to open a list of devices linked to your account, then select the device to be removed.
Click the Erase button to erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, don't enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device is erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.
