hello all
just migrated to jdeveloper 3.1 and 8i 8.1.6. while deploying an ejb to 8i
(which faced no problems previously in jdeveloper 3.0 and 8i 8.1.5),

any resolutions? thanks!
null
For CMP beans to JBoss, they'll have to be managed by JBoss (not OC4J). We don't have any jdev specific documentation for that. The jboss docs and forums on jboss.org have alot of info about how to configure jaws, etc.
Hope this helps,
Rob

Fail to Deploy EJB to JServer in JDeveloper3.0
I had a trouble to deploy the EJBHotel example.
My env is Oracle8i in NT with JDeveloper3.0.
All IIOP & JDBC connection is fine. The user
had JAVAUSERPRIV and even JAVASYSPRIV.
The test under Published JServer Objects
has Public Read, Write and Execute Permission.
However I got the following message when I
deploy from JDeveloper (both JDK1.2 and JDK1.1).
Can someone give me direction to figure out
what privilege it needed?
Thank you very much.

aymenHi Wenhao,
I did face something similar ....but when i tried it again...it worked..
In case it does not then before u try to start the procedure to dwnld the Enterprise service wsdl....
uncheck the wsdl validator check box in NWDS...
I suggest u first try to consume the wsdl by importing it locally...
just follow this blog by Boris step by step..
/people/boris.mohr/blog/2007/01/23/how-to-guide-for-consuming-a-web-service-with-a-standalone-client-using-sap-netweaver-application-server-javatm-ee-5-edition
Once u r able to do this..then u can try to consume it from service registry

Error while deploying ADF web application from JDeveloper 11g to Web Logic
Hi,
I developed application following "Developing RIA Web Applications with Oracle ADF" tutorial.

We did that earlier, too (modified existing domain).
Also, after that, we created new domain and extended it according to you suggestions but no change.

Problem deploying to BPEL-container from JDeveloper
Hi - after searching for a solution both here and on Metalink for some time, I've reached the point where I think I need to post my problem:
(I've already posted this on the JDeveloper forum - and been directed to this forum from there.)
On client; Windows XP with JDeveloper 10.1.3.4.0, on server Windows Server 2003 with Oracle SOAsuite 10.1.3.
Created a very simple bpel process (ftp get a remote file -> write locally) that I want to deploy on the dedicated SOA-server.
From JDeveloper, the "Application Server and ESB Server connections checks out fine. But the "BPEL Process Manager Server" check failes with the error:
"BPEL Identity Service: Failed" - Details: "oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException:Whitespace required."
I have not found any postings/info on the "Whitespace required" error anywhere... mighty strange....
I'm therefore unable to use the BPEL Process Deployer, it states that "Server Mode: Server is unreachable".
I've triple-checked all ports etc. The Integration Server Connection is using port 80.
I'm able to access and open the BPELConsole (& EM & ESB) on the server from my JDeveloper workstation.
A "opmnctl status -l" on the SOA-server gives:
Processes in Instance: SOAProd.aresrv136.gard.local

I cannot find the "deploy_service" as a separate service on my server however. Only the hw_services are up and running, but it contains a "deploy" web module.
Would be immensely grateful for any information that might help me further in solving this issue, as I'm rather stuck right now....
Regards,
-Haakon-HI ALL...
i am no wfacing with the same problem, tried restarting the services also but the problem persists.
The test connection status from jdeveloper for application and integration server shows success always. But when trying to deploy, the domain is always refresh state. From the BPEL process deployer, the server status is unreachable.
my bpel pm 10.1.2 is on application server 10.1.2 and my jdev is 10.1.3.3
JDEV version i thunk should not be problem at this level i think.
Please suggest.... -

Call an Application Module deployed as EJB into JServer from a client
Hi all,
I've successfully deployed a BC4J Application Module as EJB Session Bean into Oracle8i 8.1.6.
The deployment descriptor (file LoginModule.dd) starts with the foolowing lines:
Session Bean ricercalista.server.ejb.LoginModuleServerEJB
BeanHomeName = "/test/omero/ejb/ricercalista.LoginModule";
HomeInterfaceClassName = ricercalista.common.ejb.LoginModuleHome;
RemoteInterfaceClassName = ricercalista.common.ejb.RemoteLoginModule;
The client code that calls the EJB is:
import oracle.jbo.*;
import java.util.Hashtable;
import javax.naming.*;
import oracle.jbo.JboContext;
import ricercalista.common.*;
import ricercalista.common.ejb.*;
import ricercalista.UserProfile;
public class ProvaEJBLogin {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
final String AMDefName = "ricercalista.LoginModule";
final String Username = "omero";
final String Password = "omero";
final String DBUrl = "jdbc:oracle:thin:omero/omero@localhost:1521:OMERO";
try {
Hashtable env = new Hashtable(10);
env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, JboContext.JBO_CONTEXT_FACTORY);
env.put(JboContext.DEPLOY_PLATFORM, JboContext.PLATFORM_ORACLE8I);
env.put(JboContext.HOST_NAME, "bacco08.csr.unibo.it");
env.put(JboContext.CONNECTION_PORT, "2481");
env.put(JboContext.ORACLE_SID, "OMERO");
env.put(JboContext.APPLICATION_PATH, "test/omero/ejb");
env.put(JboContext.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, Username);
env.put(JboContext.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, Password);
Context ic = new InitialContext(env);
LoginModuleHome home = (LoginModuleHome) ic.lookup(AMDefName);
LoginModule myejb = (LoginModule) home.create();
myejb.getTransaction().connect(DBUrl, Username, Password);
myejb.setUser("turronic", "chris");
System.out.println((String) myejb.getCognome());
System.out.println((String) myejb.getNome());
UserProfile up = myejb.getUserProfile();
for (int i = 0; i < up.size(); i++) {
System.out.println("dominio = " + up.getCodeDomain(i) + " grado = " + up.getInterestDegree(i));

Hi All,
I've a small deployment issue which you guys might be able to help me with.
I've developed an ADF BC JSF project using JHeadstart 10.1.3.2.50 and it was running fine on my self contained OC4J instance. But when I try to deploy it across to my Oracle 10G AS version 10.1.2.0.2., it had the following errors:

Has anyone been able to deploy ADF JSF project with JHeadstart using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 to Oracle 10G AS 10.1.2.0.2? I'm using window environment. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thank you for your assistance and have a nice day.
Kind Regards,
JohnHi all,
I had also tried out something else...
I am now portalizing the ADF application using PortalFacesBridge and portlet.xml. Then I deploy it on the Local OC4J of my system and expose it as a WSRP Portlet using the url: 'http://hostname:portname/warFileName/info and generating a WSDL URL...
I am then using this WSDL URL to regester this portalized application on the Oracle Portal10.1.4 which i am able to accomplish successfully...
However after regestration, when I try to view this on the portal page, It is throwing the following error:-
Error: Could not get markup. The cookie or session is invalid or there is a runtime exception.
Also I would like to add that this method was working perfectly fine previously...
What might be the clue for this sudden error...
Any kind of help is greatly appriciated... Thanks... -

hello i need easy way to deploy my jsf applications to tomcat .
i create an application server configuration in my JDeveloper now what ? how can i say to deploy the app to tomcat not to oracle application server.
another question :
the "deploy operation" must copy jsf , adf implementations jstl standartd common* and other jars to my tomcat project automaticly and it MUST make classes dir to be in WEB-INF\classes instead of project main.Hi,
These steps worked for me:
(I assume you successfully created the server configuration)
1) Select your project and then go to Run --> Deploy --> New Deployment Profile
Select WAR file, OK,
Give a name and select a directory,
in the WAR Deployment Profile Properties page, choose the Target Connection in the "Profile" section.
2) Now the deployment profile must be ready.
Select your project and then go to Run --> Deploy --> your new profile.
This should deploy the project to Tomcat.
I saw all needed jars deployed as well. Maybe you should check if all the jars are selected in the "Export" column, in the Project Properties --> Libraries section.
For the last question, in Project Properties --> Project Content, change your output directory to WEB-INF\classes.

Deploy DBServlet in Jrun from JDeveloper
I do not know what file to copy to the JRUN Servlet folder to get Jrun run the DB Servlet.
I copied the package, class, jar file to the Servlet folder.
When I tried to call
localhost:8000/servlet/package2.DbServlet1.jrun
nothing works. Looks like I did not copy the right files or did not register some java class in Jrun.
I have been succesful in running HTTP Servlet built by JDeveloper by JRUN. I copied the Class file to Servlet folder.
I call it from Jrun as localhost:8000/servlet/package1.Servlet1 and it works.

Hi all,
i try to deploy my first EJB / EAR Project as described in SAP Help.
But after clicking "Finish" to start the WebService Deployment, i get to the status window with the message:
.... Starting deployment
and the progress bar(s) are shown up.
But nothing happens, my CPU goes up to 100% usage and the progress bars are running endless. I thought it will last some time, but after 2 hours of running i quit the process hard in the task manager.
I currently using a IBM T40p with 1GB RAM and 1,5 GHz CPU, another GB Ram is ordered.
Any hints or is my Hardware just too "low"
edit: In my AS Status Window i had an red AS Java Thread, with the taskname "DeployController(111) and Subtask "deploy(java.lang.String....) perhaps this would helpThx for your reply.
Last Friday i noticed the same solution as you
Its really annoying to wait hours till the deploy process is finishing and with this little "trick" its done after few minutes.
Hope this bug will be fixed in the final version (if it is a bug )

OC4J Deployment from JDeveloper 10.1.3 Webservice Instantiation ERROR
I am trying to deploy an EJB web service from JDeveloper 10.1.3 and keep getting this error: InstantiationException.
Note: in the readme.txt, it describes running OC4J with the EBJ3.0 option.
(OC4J -start -ejb3)

This did not work. Any suggestion?
See below for error message.

Oc4j r2: Problem with CMP deployment from JDeveloper 9i.
Hi,
When deploying a CMP Entity from jdeveloper, the actual table name used for looking up the bean by the container is modified to the Entities name ( meaning - not the one which i specified in the orion-ejb.xml myself) .
Has anyone stubmled across this one?
Thanks,
Yuval.Hi Yuval,
Yes, this is standard default behaviour for OC4J!
Let me guess -- you're using the JDeveloper deployment wizard, right?
Bad move, buddy! Gee, wouldn't it be great if the JDeveloper wizards
actually worked properly (sigh).
Easiest thing to do is to edit the "orion-ejb-jar.xml" file immediately
after deployment. Look for the "entity-deployment" element, and change
the "table" attribute so that it equals the correct name of your table.
Of-course, personally, I steer well clear of the wizards, because I
don't know what they're doing but I'm sure it's not something that I
want them to do.
I also suggest you check out the documentation from either:
http://www.atlassian.com
or
http://www.orionserver.com
Good Luck,
Avi.
