Cant do anything with print to tape or recording from timeline! Need Help!
I have been trying to get my mac book pro to print to tape using a firewire and a jvc dv deck. when i go through the process and check to see if it actually did it, all i get is black screen with no sound. Then when i try to record straight from the timeline (like i use to do with Avid) i get the same result. Can someone help me out FCP is suppose to be able to do this but i guess not. All my software is up to date and i dont know why this is happening!
Is the JVC DV VTR set to the right input for Firewire? In FCP, look under the View and see how the output is set.

Itried to sync my ipod 3g and it froze so i tried to reboot it, and now its got a picture of an USB concetion and an arrow pointing to an itune logo, cant do anything with it now its just frozen on that i can turn off and turn on ipod but it goes to same picture all the time can anyone help with this problem
The the picture from usb to iTunes on your iPod means that you have to connect your iPod to iTunes on your computer
And restore the last backup or set it up as a new iPod. -

I'm guessing that you turned off the iPhone 5? If so, then are you using the same phone number as the 5? You need to go into Settings>Messages>make sure that iMessage is turned on and activated. Then go the Send & Receive and find out if your current number is checked.

When i add a new tab in all the ways possible it places a new tab but just shows the same site that is on the 1st tab and i cant do anything with it and still says new tab.

If restoring using your backup didn't work, you'll have to save as much of your data as you can (import your photos to your computer, sync your contacts and other data with iCloud, email things like Notes and Voice Memos to yourself, sync with iTunes to transfer all your purchases, etc.) and then restore it as new without using your backup.

Hi can anyone help me. I have a apple macbook laptop OSX 10.5.8 . When i push print, it shows my printer but says cannot communicate with printer. (epson stylus nx125). Do I need new drivers? Please help . regards Cindy

Some basic printer troubleshooting steps before worrying about a printer driver:
1. Have you tried turning the printer off and back on?
2A. Is the printer attached with a cable?
If yes, have you tried unplugging and re-plugging both ends of the printer cable?
If that does not help, can you test the printer with another cable?
2B. If your printer is not connected to the computer with a cable, have you tried restarting your printer (assuming wireless connection)?
Have you tried restarting your wireless router?
3. Have you tried restarting your MacBook? (Be sure to save your work first.)
4. Does the printer have ink? (Doesn't usually generate a 'communications error' though)
5. Have you updated OS X or the program you're trying to print from recently? -

I have two array lists one producer array list and one consumer array list denoted by a and b

Now we find all those producer consumer pairs which satisfy the criteria Pi>=Ci
We have the following sets
(5,2)(6,2)(7,2),(8,2),(9,2)
(5,3)(6,3)(7,3),(8,3),(9,3)
(5,4)(6,4)(7,4),(8,4),(9,4)
(5,5)(6,5)(7,5),(8,5),(9,5)
(6,6)(7,6)(8,6),(9,6)
Let us done each of them with Si
so we have S1,S2,S3,S4,S5
we assign a third parameter called weight to each element in Si which has satisfied the condition Pi>=Ci;
so we we will have
(5,2,ai),(6,2,bi),(7,2,ci)....etc for S1
similarly for S2 and so on.
We need to find in each set Si the the pair which has the smallest weight.
if we have (5,2,3) and (6,2,4) then 5,2,3 should be chosen.We should make sure that there is only one pair in every set which is finally chosen on the basis of weight.
Suppose we get a pair (5,2,3) in S1 and (5,2,3) in S2 we should see that (5,2,3) is not used to compare to compare with any other elements in the same set S2,
Finally we should arrive at the best element pair in each set.They should be non repeating in other sets.

since P0 and P4 are already used in previous set we dont use them for checking in S1 so we have (P1,C1) as best.
S2=(P0,C2),(P1,C2) and (P4,C2) so we dont use P0,C2 and P1 and C2 because PO and P1 are already used in S1.
So we choose P4,C2
in S3 and S4 ae have (P0,C3),(P1,C3),(P4,C3) so we dont choose anything
and same in S4 also.
So answer is
(P0,C0),(P1,C1) and (P4,C2).

distance from the first set, and the pair with the least
distance from the second. I don't see how the distance
function was used.
Also it's not clear to me that there is always a solution,
and, if there is, whether consistently choosing the
furthest or the closest pairs will always work.
The most obvious approach is to systematically try
all possibilities until the answer is reached, or there
are no possibilities left. This means backtracking whenever
a point is reached where you cannot continue. In this case
backtrack one step and try another possibility at this
step. After all possible choices of the previous step,
backtrack one more step and so on.
This seems rather involved, and it probably is.
Interestingly, if you know Prolog, it is ridiculously
easy because Prolog does all the backtracking for you.
In Java, you can implement the algorithm in much the same
way as Prolog implementations do it--keep a list of all the
choice points and work through them until success or there
are none left.
If you do know Prolog, you could generate lots of random
problems and see if there is always a solution. -

I am running 10.6.2 and Final Cut Studio 2 (FCP 6.0.6). FCP recognizes the deck and with playout to the deck while editing from the sequence. Once I try to print to tape deck drops out and there is no audio or video coming into the deck. Tried different projects that printed to tape just fine and they all have the same issue. Tried two other decks and same issue. Tried one of our other Mac Pros which are setup exactly the same and had the same issue. The projects tried lived both on internal drives and on external firewire drives.
Once I print to tape monitor connected to the deck goes gray and have no audio but the sequence still plays out on the desktop monitor fine. Tried changing deck settings but nothing helped. Once I refresh A/V devices preview out to the deck starts working fine again. Thinking that it maybe an update issue since it is happening on two different machines with different projects.
Has anyone had a similar issue recently?
Any insight would be much appreciated.Have you done the usual - Trashing preferences and repairing permissions?
Under the Audio/Video Settings menu, A/V Devices tab, is your Playback Output setting the same as your Edit to Tape/Print to Video setting? -
Hi, my mac keeps on clicking all the time and the touchpad hardly works. Cant get rid of it. I am not able to do anything with my mac because it just clicks all the time. Can anyone help?
I am not sure what to do to help sorry but for temporary you could disable your trackpad and use a mouse then atleast your Mac is useable you can fix it
