Cant download creative cloud or other apps

I tried to download the trial of Illustrator and it states "You are running an operating system that Illustrator no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements for a full list of supported platforms".  So I tried to download creative cloud and in the installer box, it just sits there, doesnt install. Is there anything I can do?  Would like to purchase the app after the trial.  I have a Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.  Software was updated yesterday.

10.6.8 does not meet the system requirements for most (if not all) of the latest Creative Cloud applications.  You would have to upgrade your system to be able to work with them.  Here are a few links so that you can see for yourself for some of the more popular programs...

  • Having problem downloading creative cloud (not the apps)

    I am having problem downloading the creative cloud itself. It first said error 201. Then I downloaded the installer a second time. It is now stuck at a fifth of the entire download for the past half hour. What to do?

    Tracylynn715 which operating system are you using? 
    If you are using Windows please cancel the current installation.  Once the installation is canceled please rename the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE folder to OOBE_old.  Once the folder is renamed please try installing the Creative Cloud Desktop application from https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

    I have repeatedly tried to download the app creative cloud for desktop, and each time I get a messaqe saying "we are experiencing difficulties, pleased try later"
    Any advice or link appreciated
    My subscription has not expired :-)

    I am an Admin User although I would install using Run As Admin
    64 bit Dell Laptop
    Windows 8.1 - update
    Windows Firewall
    Kaspersky Anti-virus - not tried turning off but will do so and respond
    All my programs have downloaded, installed and are still working (Muse, Photoshop, etc.)
    Not installed any hardware since registering for Adobe, but have installed Articulate Studio 13, and also Articulate Storyline
    Originally received an update for the desktop app, which failed to install
    Tried repeatedly (including turning off firewall) but no luck
    Uninstalled the desktop app - after following a link in one of the forums
    downloaded the new desktop app - installed - perfect
    Other application updates installed perfectly, including the big update for Muse to 64 bit
    Most recent update for desktop app failed to install, so tried the above, removed the desktop app, but cannot now find the link to the new version to download.
    Hopefully just need to find the download link to the desktop app, but travelling at present so do not get enough time to surf to locate it :-(

  • Renewed my monthly plan , downloaded creative cloud desktop app on new laptop, go to apps, but i dont have an option to install photoshop, I have it installed on two other laptops but both laptops were damaged and i cant access them to delete the installe

    hello, i ordered photoshop on creative cloud in August 2014 on a monthly plan, had no problems installing and using etc, until both mine and my girlfriends laptops were damaged. I then stopped paying my monthly plan. and PS was deactivated. I recently got a new laptop which im using currently, it is an aspire one with windows 7. I paid my debt to adobe to reactivate, Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year) . I then downloaded creative cloud and logged in as usual, i go to the apps page to install PS but it only has an option that says TRY. i looked into the problem and found that with my account i can only have PS installed on two devices, and the only two solutions i saw was to uninstall on the other devices and then re install. This is my problem, my girlfriend chucked her laptop straight in the bin whilst I have mine in the cupboard in pieces not working. or the other option was to open a new account with adobe. I dont really want to follow that option as I have just paid my debt and subscription for the next month and i dont want to change my email address associated with the adobe account. Any advice or solutions will be appreciated, thank you.

    Since there is no billing issue, please try to install & activate the CC, in case of any issue contact Adobe Support via Contact Customer Care

    Just downloaded Creative cloud.  Trying to download apps but the loading icon keeps spinning and down not load app choices. When I go to the creative cloud website and click on an a[pp it says it is downloading but it is not.

  • I am trying to install a trail for InDesign CC to finish a project soon. I downloaded Creative Cloud, the app is in my folder, but it won't open and when I try to download InDesign an error pops up saying Adobe is trying to install malware.

    I just installed Creative Cloud in order to download a trial for InDesign. I have the app icon for CC, but it won't open. When it was in my toolbar (on a mac) it just sat there loading for about 15 minutes. I tried restarting it but it won't open at all now. I also tried downloading an InDesign trail and it won't open at all. When I click for it to download an error message pops up saying Adobe is trying to instal malware and asks me if I want to continue. When I say yes, it doesn't do anything. I have a brochure that needs to go to the client by 4pm today! EEK!

    Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications.  I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

    in addition to John's hint you should have a look there to "correct answer" in https://forums.adobe.com/message/5441322#5441322 "Creative Cloud client will not download". There Sumit Singh talks about "I am suspecting the AAM URI handler is not working." and gives stepwise advices.

    Please download/install CC desktop : https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and try downloading Photoshop. If still the same issue then as suggested by Mylenium run the cleaner tool and try downloading again.
